      Hello! You bought a great unit. What I did was very patchwork and built with what I had. I too am looking to do what you did and look forward to having FUN!! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Good job. Better to know than to wonder. You should have put the Midwest Firewood sticker on the winch! Nice video guys. 👍

    Definitely fun to build things and see if they work. I’m at a stand still in my yard because of mud. Nice vid

      Totally agree, Aaron. That’s the fun of doing this. Hopefully things start drying up for you soon. Appreciate the support!

    Hi Mike, nice video. I used to have a winch, with the idea of pulling logs. It didn't work out for me. I hope you have better luck.
    Take care friend 👍🇺🇸

      Thanks for stopping by, Gary. I had to try for sure. I think I need a V-6 or possible a V-8 to speed things up 🤣 Mike

    Yeah, it took a while, but on the bright side, The logs are out and you can work on them whenever you get a chance. Good video guys!

    Hi Mike, the only way to find out what works best is to try new things. Hope all is well.

      Hi Brad, you are correct. My issue is I had a bit higher expectations. Thanks for stopping by.

    Point is you can sit around and wonder if something will work with no results. Or you can just do it and no matter if it works or not, now you know! Good effort Mike. I think with a better winch you would have been ok. 👍🏻👍🏻

      You hit the nail on the head, Todd. The nice thing is I can upgrade the winch and basically plug and play. Appreciate you watching! Mike

      @@WSTMike I think I heard your son say at the end you was done But you said he’s going to the neighbors

    • @WSTMike
      @WSTMike  3 года назад +1

      He thinks I’m done playing in the mud, I think he’s wrong. I said jokingly that I would go cut wood at the neighbors and see if they noticed any trees missing. Completely unrehearsed. 😁

    COULD YOU HAVE GOTTEN THE DIFFERENTIAL FROM A SMALL CAR OR TRUCK. RUN THE DIFFERENTIAL BY THE TRACTORS PTO . ON ONE SIDE OF THE DIFF PUT THE CABLE REEL. ON THE OTHER SIDE PLACE A SIMPLE DRUM BRAKE . I SAW MANY OF THESE ON A PULP WOOD SALE ON THE SUPERIOR NF IN 1950 USED 25 HP WISCONSIN FOR POWER SOURCE. I WISH SOME BODY WHO HAS THE SKILL WOULD BUILD ONE. BY THE WAY THE SALE WAS FOR 25 years. CONTRACTOR WAS TOMAHAWK TIMBER COMPANY WISCONSON USA.

      Thanks for the comment. It would be more than I ever needed. Since this video that winch went to the scrap yard. I replaced it with one 10x the power. I just need it when I’m in soft muddy areas and need to bring the wood to me. Works like a champ.

    Buy a choker for the log Back the Tractor up its faster ,then have your son pull the winch cable back to the log pile you will heat the heck out of your winch otherwise , run your battery down just use the winch when you have too !
