The motor is inside the round spherical compartment on the base and the plastic spine is located behind the bin containing the spinal cord to deliver power to the motor from the switch The brushbar is connected in front of the motor housing and has its own independent motor to drive the brushbar 👍🏽

With my shark stratos, i sealed the sides and front, and made a 100% seal while hsvibg the 2nd fastest brushroll spped so it cleans alot better
