Not really? I think the oil from the butter will soak thru n it may stick? One thing you could use is the thick frosted plastic bags that cereal comes in. Just cut the bag into squares. It's the same type of plastic that people use to separate their meat portions before freezing as the meat doesn't stick. I learnt that at a Tupperware party lol!😂
I will like to do this cake for my babies baptism, how this cake will react to hot weather? will be in Canadian summer so I need to be sure the flowers will not fall from the cake ? what is your recommendation?
Buttercream isn't to good with hot weather because it' contains a big amount of butter what I usually do is keep it in the Fridge and take it out last minute before I leave because it'll need an hour to two hours to get to room temperature ( depending on the weather) so just be careful

Beautiful! If I wanted to cover the sides of a cake with buttercream flowers, would they be secure enough or would they eventually 'slide off'?
