The entire stream seemed to be all about casual games though. I wasn't able to follow the stream the whole day, so I do not know if there is any particularly good match.

So much better than SF5 with its huge content and KOF 14's not even completed!
only has more characters 90% of them being old characters. Capcom could easily add more old characters but, too many technical issues would arise wich would take lots of their time. Then again more characters dosent excuse how sht it looks with very generic sounds & effects (Do you here the announcers oh my gawd). With past kof games mostly kof13, the netcode was atrociously bad. If netcode gets fixed i may pick it up when the price goes down, the way it is now dosent feel like a game worth 60.

+Raver1601 Never did i say sf5 was worth 60, only mentioned how kof dosent feel like a game thats worth 60. Judging past kof games the thing that rlly turns me off is the netcode, wich were terrible in previous kof games. It pissed me off tht i spent 30 bucks on kof13 and couldnt even play online cuz it was so bad. Then again if snk fixes that then i would still get it becuase i do like kof. The graphics thing is still a big negative, why do you think sf5 attracted so much more ppl tht dont even play fighting games? cuz they get to play these iconic characters in beautiful 1080p graphics, and believe it or not graphics is still one of the main selling points of a game. Having a game look like it was made by an indie developer with poor visuals, sound, and overall quality makes the ppl who arent fans who´d still buy it even if it had superman 64 graphics, would be turned off from this.
sf5 isn't completed either though brah. but i honestly don't get the love for this. yeah i get snk are broke and all but this is just weak. kof13 looked better in alpha than this is almost finished. and no, i don't mean graphics. this gameplay doesn't look nearly as smooth as previous entries.
***** idk the movemen looks fine but the combat itself looks sorta sluggish compared to previous titles.
then again these players seem to only have a basic understanding of the game so who knows. watching a pro match could very well change my perspective lol.

Damn, if SNK is that broke they should just make a kickstarter to hire some modders to do the 3D models. Anyone from the Unreal Tournament community can make better looking characters in a week.
🔥I enjoy seeing my main fighter K' in action, but I hate seeing him go down. Anyway, who here besides myself are WAAAAY more hyped for this game than Tekken 7?

Kof over street fighter and tekken for me. The only one I really like on equal ground is DOA. i like how recently they have been adding Virtua Fighter Characters in there too. Their roster has really grown lately as well. A bigger roster is always nice in any fighting game. Not saying Street fighter or tekken suck, but I am not really a fan of those series.
SynClaiR I have to say i am a big fan and that KOF is very disapointing to me.
+Jose Vazquez I've been a Tekken fan for a looooong time as Bruce, Kazuya, Eddy, and Lee have been my favorite fighters but the whole Tekken 7 deal just frustrates me to the core with their downgraded roster and taking so long to make announcements for it, so I had promoted KOF to being my main fighting game series...and KOFXIV gets about everything right when it comes to having a diverse and flavorful roster, exciting mechanics, beautiful stages, etc.
did people forget that kof 13's art style was very expensive and took 6 to 10 months to make one character? the transition from 2d to 2.5d (not 3d like the tekken and soul calibur) was a smart move from snk and the graphics will improve over time. let snk take there time with the game and the final version might be better than the trailers and teasers, so quit complaining and comparing this game to other titles like mkx and sfv plus kof 14 will have 50 characters out the door unlike sfv and mkx. just be happy a kof game is coming out soon let alone snk is still alive and well. lets not forget that snk is stepping up the game, with alot of modes including a story mode from out the gate unlike sfv.

I also forgot to add they went through bankruptcy in 2000 and nearly a second time after 13 didn't hit expected sales.
i agree with you but cell-shading like ggxrd would have also been easier and cheaper and it would've looked much better than what the game currently looks like
+Michael Josefsen that's cool but i never played 13 for graphics, just to enjoy the gameplay it was quite fun indeed. i just hope this game can succeed 13.

OMG MY EYES AND EARS!! THE SOUND EFFECTS ON HITS AND IN THE MENUS SOUND SO GENERIC AND THE SOUNDS ON HIT SOUND GENERIC AND JUST POOR OVERALL! I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO EXPLAIN THE VISUALS 😬😬😬😬 At most I woud rent KOF14, if I like it, I might buy it at a reduced price eventually

True, i can see this being the most important aspect in a fighting game. I don't really car about graphics or gameplay, i only care about the sound effects.
It is exactly the reason I love DMC, Kingdom Hearts Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Ninja Gaiden, and all my favorite games of all time. The sound effects were just amazing.The rest like the story progression, game mechanics, presentation, etc. didnt matter one bit!!!
with the sales of street fighter 5 and how king of fighters 14 may end up being more successful, we may just have Capcom vs Snk 3 after all

not being a dick. i'm just geniunely curious what about this seems better. this looks like a HUGE step down from kof 13 in my opinion but I haven't played it so I can't say for sure.

I can't say I love it either, but I still look forward to the game. Hopefully they can make some further adjustments before its release.

Every frame has to be stippled separately for 2D games. For example, Kyo's st.A in XIII would probably need 16 frames of drawing from start-up to the end of recovery... That's really a lot of work considering how many characters and moves there are. Whereas 3D model can be directed to move once constructed.

SNK is really fukin up by making this a PS4 exclusive, they should learn from Bethesda. Game looks like shit? Release it on PC and let the community fix it with mods. And I'm just saying this because obviously they have no idea how to do it themselves.

ok, graphically, this game looks like fucking shit. i wouldve rather them ported kof13 over with fixed netcode. i swear, all these new fighting game sequels are doing something wrong IMO. the only one im really excited for is Blazblue. the new GGxrdR isnt worth the repurchase to me, sf5 was barebones as hell compared to 4. Tekken's
combo depth took a plunge with 7 and they added stupid rage supers(Supers. in Tekken. smfh.). Dont get me wrong, the new Blazblue took out the added hitstun decay after using the same move in a combo, which is stupid AF (watch Terumi's overdrive combos and tell me that shit isnt stupid). but overall, Blazblue, and Tekken are my last hopes this time around.
I disagree. I think so far this game looks pretty good graphically, especially considering that this has mainly been a 2D franchise. Saying it looks like shit seems to be a stretch to me.
not to mention KOF's graphic fidelity has never been amazing! like they have gotten better and better but the games fighting wise have been the best! I also think that you don't really have to have realistic graphics for this as SFV also is anime style... So they really stuck with what actually works for a KOF game going from 2D to 3D and so forth.. looks fine to me!? but people especially purists have been extremely pick with this rendition of KOF... it's like anything it seems... Doomed if you change it and doomed if you don't lol... at least most actually don't mind the direction they went with the franchise and st least there is a fucking single player arcade mode... seems like it's a lot to ask a developer these days ha ha! I will be grabbing this for sure because it's actually a complete game....
+ChevyJP86 i think KOF13 looked fucking awesome. the hand-drawn sprites were beautiful and the effects were dramatic and explosive(not on marvel's standards but still better than other competitors). id love for them to make CvS3's graphics like that. speaking of which, WHERE TF IS CVS3?!
+TheBloodedge92 oh ya KOF 13 was exceptional for art I was meaning the earlier ones like dream match 99 and stuff when in comparison to street fighter!, but ya the hand drawn sprites even in Garo mark of the wolves! Which was in Dreamcast! We're amazing to! This still looks awesome tho! That's just my opinion
SFV has no content other than survival and kof looks like a ps2 game...come on fighting games wtf are you doing...
