dhalsim is rlly cool , the problem is he and jamie are so special in theyr gameplan that they can only work for hardcore mains/onetricks , every single time i see dhalsim he dominates 90% of the game only to miss 1 attack and then get 100 to 0 in seconds , dhalsim players always have to use 200% of theyr brainpower to even come close to other characters which makes its frustraing and exhausting on the long run
The problem is, all characters have acess to DI, which ruins his game plan, as a lot of his longer reaching pokes to keep people out are not special cancelable. So if the enemy guesses right, dhalsim eats a DI, which ensures that the opponent can run pressure at the least, if not combo, plus his slow speed makes it very deadly to whiff normals against experienced players, and his fireballs can be beaten by hadokens, or really any projectile, even Terry's ground wave.
@@Dude9106 and on top of that dhalsims only move to get out of harms way is that weird move were he flings his arms around himself , which isnt even that good either you rlly have to pray as dhalsim that both your ground and air teleport save you day
I've put both jamie and dhalsim in masters and let me tell you, for jamie the worst part must've been the atrocious scaling on his combos, combos you've worked hard to get because you need your drinks. As for dhalsim, he's basically dead meat once in the corner, and it is WAY TOO EASY to get people in the corner in this game
As an Akuma main, I can confirm Torimeahi did not escape the CA, he was in pure luck. Daigo actually dropped the combo. His input was delayed by a few frames for whatever reason.
In my head-cannon, this is an amazing battle between two different philosophies of fighters: Dhalsim embodies truly understanding himself and his opponent in order to win, while Akuma only sees rage and cannot understand the Yoga master. In the end, Dhalsim only looses because he did not see how far Akuma was willing to go in order to achieve victory..Akuma leaves the battle with a tiny bit of respect for the old man's ways, but did not find the battle he desires here and moves on seeking that ultimate combat elsewhere.
love how diago always respects his opponent in SF6, going back to neutral in some spots, or not using invincible dp as soon as he starts taking pressure, not using throw loops ever, etc, even when it costs him a possible win. Almost like he wants to see what the other guy can do. When you consider how most play SF6, that's pretty impressive. Seems like no matter what he won't back down on his defensive playstyle, even if rushdown into rushdown repeat is the most optimal way to play this game. Reminds me why we're never gonna see another diago parry this lifetime.
I think he's fallen off from in the past, he's not as good as he used to be and it shows in this match. He gave Dhalsim too much room or just couldn't get in.
@@Darkloid21 bro said he ain't got time lmao these new mfs ain't got no respect, or any concept of how hard the diago parry really is to pull off. Sad state of the FGC.
Dhalsim would have been a far stronger character if not for DI mechanics. It allows too many other characters to be able to forcibly charge in with armor.
The amount of effort you have to put in with Sim compared to stuff like Akuma and Ken really holds him back. Being low tier AND hard to play is a rough hand to be dealt
I did a whole commentary on a play from torimeshi but I guess youtube fucking hates me because it got insta deleted, so I'll just say that from 4:05 to 4:15 tori was an absolute genius
dhalsim is bottom 1 in a game where every character can perfect parry into drive rush punish anything he does full screen. everything he does anywhere is unsafe. at top tier competition he's the worst in the game. the only character to have been tuned down from SFV to SFVI.
His walk speed is undeniably slow, but Dhalsim is a pretty mobile character when his teleport, drills, slides, float, and projectiles are properly utilized. Those tools let him be extremely slippery
Never and never there will a street fighter serie like sf3 who has a so smooth gameplay. Sf6 is just too mechanical and seems like an ai playing and analyzing the game at the same time ...

2:10 matches like this we cherish .

I love watching people play the non photos or lesser picks like dhalsim, Blanka, etc

At least not in sf6. We saw something similarly impressive at evo in third strike, though, at least.

Man when sim misses even from a long range poke, Akuma just punishes so bad

Why Dhalsim loses to Akuma
Dhalsim ain't back heavy punch that consistently, lol
Using 1bar to do chip damage is very smart
Screaming competition
This game looks great, but I can’t stand the projectile fights in dueling games. Any recommendations of a fighting game without this type of cheese?

Is that on ps5????
Yes ps5
Is there anywhere we can see the rankings?
Either ingame or at www.streetfighter.com/6/buckler/ranking/master

The weak point of dhalsim is his slow moving ability

Dhalsim fights like an octopus and a snake..
Well, I think the worst thing in every Street Fighter games are these fireballs, and CPU or players who spam them all the time.
The fireballs are to condition people to react a certain way. There’s so many different options for fireballs (jump, block, parry) . Get good bruh
Daigooo!!!!🎉
Yoga fire🔥
❤❤
Nice Daigo
the lions on the back are just way way way to big.
😍
Daigo finally wins
Against daigo u have no chance with dhalsim in every SF game
yay dhalsim
Game kinda slower than old ones these new ones so predictable
daigo cannot play game in the middle.... he is a corner guy
Well he's certainly going to corner Dhalsim!
Bu mu en iyi dhalsim? 🤣 Bütün aduketleri korumasını bile bilmiyor.

I always felt Akuma's damage was always OP and disproportionate to other characters. This is just a very bad match up anyway.
