Wow total frustration! I’m sure the next time we see this it will be on steroids or be in the garbage can next to your newest build😂. I’m glad you decided to post this it is something most of us have gone through and it keeps less lethal life real! Excellent vid!
After watching your first 468 video, it appears that you have the DMR valve which has a smaller air hole outlet into the upper, rather than the non-DMR version for semi-auto. Said difference can dramatically restrict air flow as the semi-auto version has a larger outlet. Displacement of the value-body o-ring may be an air-leak culprit as well. Lastly, make sure that the flat side of the Poppet Pin is turned upwards so that the firing bolt is not causing friction on impact between the pin and the valve. Thank you for all of your hard work. You'll figure it out doc;)
One more thing. The Helix mag springs need to break if you have the shaped version installed, else it could trigger the Lok Bolt to release the upper bolt fiercely due to its strength. Storing 8g rounds in the mags will help the spring tension to mellow out. BTW...I originally posted a longer comment but it disappeared. I'm mentioning in case you come across it.
Appreciate the input. Some of those things were on the list. Its what you said about the DMR valve that caught my interest. Upon inspecting the brass valve the hole does seem awfully small. 🤔
For the Helix mags it's literally all being held together by the black outer shell. If you get the smoke she'll mags they're even weaker in holding the mag together.
That's because they used a really poor polymer choice for their clear plastic. Clear mags are usually trash in everything other than lancers/Aug mags. For that reason
You'll have to reset the follower on the Helix mags by opening it up, i have those and normally never give me any issues aside from having to replace the loading/ ball door, eventually they wear out and can't keep the ammo in the Mag. When you open them, keep in mind how all the little springs and theres a little ball bearing in there, very easy to loose.
Two brand new mags did the same thing and one is split. Not the type of quality i would ever rely on. I will attempt to repair them until i can pick up the new T15 magwell.
@lesslethalfordummies thats crazy, I have 11 of them probably 5 years old, I'd have to check my videos of when I did an unboxing of them ,only have had to replace the little doors and once or twice have had to reset a follower or 2. Edit: 4½ years ago
@@TheJerzeyGuy i was a bit disappointed to be honest as its one of the few mags i haven’t tried. Magazines always seem to be a sore spot with all manufacturers. We as consumers are just never happy 😃
The thing with the lok bolt, especially with shaped projectiles you have to pull the charging handle back before reloading because the bolt is still under spring tension and it's being held back by the lok bolt. So by inserting a full mag which is also under tension. It will seat that next round and release the lok bolt all in one motion.
I am beginning to learn these important factors. I have limited experience with lok bolts. Most broke during LL use but I haven’t gotten that far yet. 🙂
@@lesslethalfordummies it's poetic how in your opening statement you talk about how LL and the paintball world can learn from each other and we're having this exact conversation. Hmm. Very strange🤔. Did you figure it out what restricts the velocity? It sounds like a dangerous marker, shooting when you put in a new magazine😳. Interesting video. Good test as always Sean😃👍
Velocity is strictly controlled by the tension on the drive spring but in my case it seems to do nothing. I am going to remove the lok-bolt. My ceiling can’t handle much more 🥲
@@lesslethalfordummies Aha. Ok. So a new drive spring is next up I guess. Making holes in the ceiling is not intended.... I made a hole in one of my walls with the HDR50 and rubber ball LOL😅

wow. was thinking of purchasing & following your mods for LL . bad start, (launcher) sure you'll sort it. it does look so cool though !!! do ya think ya got a duff'un ? as you say - nowhere near paintball power....... what gives !!?
The mags had better quality in the past. They can easily be disassembled and repaired/modified. The quality of assembling of MCS is famously bad, the advice for every new owner here is to completely tear it apart and to reassemble it properly. Mine shot about the same out of the box. Playing with the screw and springs brought it to about 320fps quite constantly without internal mods. Then the modding on valve and spring took it to 420fps. All with 850psi

You can actually change the posting of the GOG knob. Just take off the snap ring and put the knob in through the other side
Good idea! 👍🏼
Fun Fact ! 468 is actually the name of the breathing exercise you have to do when you buy one of these to calm down

240-260 fps shooting paintballs - is where it was back in the day.
Even with the stubby Widow Maker i would expect at minimum 220 on 800 not 1100.

Disabling is already under way. It’s quite simple to do.
