I don't understand why the Philippines does not adopt the siesta style of living like they do in Mexico, and the Mediterranean.
Start the day, (Shops, businesses, farming, banking) early, then everything closes down by midday. Everyone goes home and rests in the shade, or aircon and relaxes, sleeps. Then 4pm everything reopens until like 10pm.
Avoid the heat and enjoy the evening with a much cooler environment.
They used to , then it was 24 hour work that took over ..
Oh. I love my 1pm-3pm naps.. best time to sleep.
