I find this song the perfect explanation for my feelings as a millennial well settled into adulthood. I’m still angry, I’m still politically minded, but I’m tired and I have things to manage.
That sense at the end of accepting both the defeat of our current world, and the desperate wish in the back of the mind to keep fighting.

When he was opening for The Offspring a few years ago, he would do little, impromptu shows away from the main tour. I got to see him, just him & his guitar, no band, in the living room of a row house in Philly. It was AMAZING. A truly once in a lifetime experience.
That's awesome man. Frank Turner's punk in every way, I've always loved his music but his values fire through his music that make it fit in with the rest of the punk I listen to. It's a pretty special talent.
Frank Turner is one of my favourite artists and the clear love you also have for him has earned you guys a sub from me.
Blows my mind that Frank isn't more popular. One of my favourites also. 😊

The above isn't saying let's make ALL our mistakes again. It is saying let's not grow and learn that protesting and calling g for change is hard. Because its learning that it is hard that makes us give up.
At least that has always been my take as rhe line immediately follows let's be young and crass enough to care.
Probably my favourite song of his, but anything from his first 4 albums are superb lyrically. I'm not so keen on his most recent outputs, though his latest was best of the last 3 albums imo.
Should definitely check out more from his first few albums.

I also saw Frank Turner and the Interrupters in May. I've seen Frank Turner 12 times the most of any artist. I have loved every show. He writes songs with lyrics so poignant or clever that i wish I'd thought of it first.
Go deeper into frank Turner and then if you want the big chief of songwriting get into some John Samson stuff
