Outside of the very 1st guilty gear, which is uh, a broken mess, instant kills are rarely seen in tournament play not because they're banned, but because they're often impractical, unless you're a character like Xrd Ky who can (rarely) combo into his, or your going against XX A.B.A. They've always been just an ultimate disrespect sort of thing to go for, and have been balanced well since XX, so who knows why they were removed to be honest.
Pretty sure it has to do with the fact that covid made the devs cut a lot of content that they weren´t able to deliver with the time and budget they had.
Combo maker, digital figure and lobby customization is coming in free updates so it should spice things up a bit, especially if we gotta fight for furniture lol Also Xrd Sign had an English dub, lots of those va's are here for Strive.
17:00 Guilty Gear has had an English dub a few times. Guilty Gear 2, Guilty Gear Xrd, had an English option. The English audio was only an option in the first Xrd. They took it out of the other versions. I have not played the game yet so I am looking forward to hearing the characters in English. I was not fond of a few voices in Xrd and want to see if they were recast/sound different.
I have this feeling that right now we just have half of the game and they add the rest of the things later. What makes its more amazing on how amazing this game is with just that.

Protip: If you have a PS5, when you turn the game on and its doing that long 5 minute ass connecting shit, just hit the PS button to pull up the Action Cards and tap square on Online or Training and it sends you right there while doing the connecting in the background. At least thats how i think it works. Thats what i do when i wanna jump straight into training and not spend an hour waiting at that title screen.
In survival mode there's dark versions of characters that you can fight and when you beat them you get the color and that's pretty sad because that would add some value to playing survival mode over and over again to unlock all of them and the funny thing is that things like this were able to be unlocked all the way till guilty gear xx

I don’t get why they keep catering toward tournament players when it literally makes up less than 1% of the people who are going to buy your game and guess what when you build games for the other 99% of players there still going to put your game in tournaments if it’s good, everybody wins
