Hey MD you mentioned about a trains station. I had previously commented on a train station. The existing train link is at the back of the Stanley Park graveyard. Freight trains use this at various times of the day. I remember reading that locals along this train line, both clubs, network rail & local councillors want this link modernised so they can add train stops along it. The expected link would be from Lime Street station it turns left along the route & back Liverpool Central. So be in a sorta loop. Obviously both clubs now would be willing to pay for stops along it to get fans to & from them Bramley Moore dock & Liverpool to expand further.
The new and old stand are not really going to connect. The top tier of the existing stand will be removed. The new stand will come up to the back old stand. There will then be a level difference of about 1 storey between the two. This will create hospitality boxes along this junction (in the new stand) plus also provide access from the back of old stand into new concourse space behind.
Hi Nick the last i heard about a railway station for Anfield was being looked at using the old Bootle line which at the moment is only used for freight, and a study is also looking at building a station somewhere on Stanley Park
Fantastic video mate, just picking up on something you mentioned about the yellow on the steps it’s just for the workers it’s yellow nonslip paint it’s pretty standard for building sites.👍
Steve Rotherham is trying to get funding from the government to sort the railway link it also helps Liverpool do more none football events well ticks another box in Liverpools favour
Great Video Nick. I notice that they have removed the wall next to the Shankly Gates. This may be to allow the crawler crane to get to the side of the new stand to install a front span. Thanks for all your efforts.
I see they’re taking down the wall on the right hand side of the Shankly Gates. Thanks for the update Nick anyway on this video. As I keep saying , keep warm mate 🥃🥃👍⭐
Further expansion would be nice but it's hard to see how it happens with the houses behind the Kenny stand all in decent condition and Walton Breck Rd behind the kop very close, I'm not sure how much more could be done from here. Would be amazing to get to 70,000 if it were ever feasible to open the old good railway to passengers on match days.
Hi Mr drone well done again brilliant videos as always. It looks like in 4-6 weeks time most of the external steel should be completed. Could you please advise us if you'll be allowed to film any internal works
7.48 - Gareth’s question about a ‘pole with steel on it’ sounded like a clue from Red Roger’s ‘3-2-1’ quiz show (for those who can remember it) 😉. Much respect for going out and doing videos when you have a cold
It's alright there MD with your cold, i've had the flu jab so i'm good. 😁 Stellar work as always. And thinks for the shot of BMD from Anfield from a skyline reference point. 👍
On construction site there will be safe route for people to access a site. So to avoid people wandering around randomly and crossing areas with works going on. The yellow marking are most probably for that. So if you have say an electrician they can use the yellow route to get to the area they are working on without walking under areas where they are erecting steelwork. I assume the external scaffold stairs have been removed becuase they have completed the internal stairs and installed handrailing and lighting to allow the internal stairs to be used.
The old railway line is down by the club moor footy pitches on Townsend Lane. I have seen trains running along it recently probably towards the deepwater dock in Bootle
Hey Nick great video again … regards the train line in question at the end of the video .. if you turn the drone around away from Anfield and look at the cemetery it’s at the back … basically next to Walton lane police station .. it could be a video to explore in the future.
Do you think the contractors & Liverpool will give you and the other chaps getting drone footage exclusive access within the stadium once it’s a safer environment,I genuinely believe you deserve that wee bit of recognition from the club. Keep up the great work 👍
Hi Nick, fantastic clip mate. Regarding that statement about 'there's a pole with steel on it,' that could possibly mean that there is a raker pole on the site-floor (which does have a steel-girder on it) just behind the heavy duty crawler crane (at the SKD end). The guy had just mentioned the terracing that's been installed at the SKD end, so it could be that. For those painted steps, it could be a couple of things. 1. All the risers on steps are going to be painted yellow. It makes them easier to see in low visibility conditions, it's a safety feature. 2. I could be splitting two lanes of human traffic, yellow for going up, unpainted for going down. This could be being used to stem access/egress to one lane to and from the stand, as another safety feature to avoid injury or a crush.
Great vid as always , thanks for your hard work . This stadium will have the larger capacity but the new Everton stadium is truly beautiful architecture in an iconic setting and will make Anfield look old . Just my opinion as a neutral. Thanks .
You cant see how the stands will be joined from the air. After the roof comes off, the back section for the current upper tier will be removed. A few more rows of steel and terracing will be added, A vertical wall will separate the lower tier from the upper tier and fans cannot move between the two tiers. I cant see any glass being installed at this stage to make the stand watertight. It's still a building site and the glass liable to get damaged so will be one of the last things to go in. I think the guy meant a terracing support in the corners for the lower sections of terracing when he said a pole! There are no plans by the club to apply for the rail line at the end of Townsend Avenue to be re opened to passenger traffic and a station be built.
Some of the images about what it will look like when finished seem to show the New roof connecting and joining the roof from the Main Stand albeit with abit of a height change.. I wonder if they are going to have to alter and work on the main stand roof front spans and cladding too?
Top, top footage as ever. Cheers. Just a quick query which may have been answered already but will the material from the stand roof that is coming down be able to be recycled at all? In particular, the metal. It would seem such a waste otherwise. Plus, has any consideration been given to using solar panels on the roof if this is feasible? Got my ticket for Goodison Park by the way for the 3rd of January ... keep up the good work etc.
The railway runs alongside Anfield Cemetery and goes down towards the docks..would be perfect for Bramley More dock aswel..it's the line were James burger was tragically murdered..it's very close to the ground and could easily be opened up for passengers..it runs into edge lane sidings
If you are going to mention this at all, at least have the respect to get the child's name right -James Patrick Bulger (16 March 1990 - 12 February 1993)
Everything seemed to be moving quickly until the rumours came out about the old roof being put off until end of season. Since that it seems it all now at a slower pace.
Is the wall near Shankly Gates being removed temporary while construction is happening or is it been removed permanently and will they remove the rest of it?
The club had planning permission to install 2 big screens in the SKD Upper but ultimately decided against it. The ARE hasnt been built with big screens in mind.
There’s couple of channels in there thump nail they show the roof is complete, just to get ppl in Iv stoped following them I’m just going to just use yours from now on I know you wouldn’t do that stuff 👍👍 it’s not good look on there channels when they say a lot of work has gone on in the last week and show the roof complete
SKK was for sir king Kenny pal, the pole was not attached when I posted the comment. Where the second to last terracing is the pop has now had steel connected to it. By the lift shaft👍 ruclips.net/video/3mpN59N1cgk/видео.html look in this video, 3:17 in, on the screen to the left of the lift shaft.
Every Wednesday and Saturday. Any Questions that you want answering you put in comments on Wednesdays video and he will look to answer the questions on the Saturday video.
How high will Anfield Road End Stand be? How wide will Anfield Road End Stand be? How long will Anfield Road End Stand be? Have you ever been inside Anfield?
Er because they're football stadiums and not energy farms? All PL grounds are mandated to have their own generators to provide electricity in case of power outages. Solar panels are no good for supplying power for night games.
Fsg are being very clever,in my opinion they no intentions of selling, thief put these rumours out to see the markets, fans reaction ,why would you sell a business worth over 4 billion from an 300 million investment?
It would be a good idea instead of saying you will do an question and answer section in your videos to just keep it as it was coz without being rude you know absolutely nothing about what you are droning and I have yet to hear you give a crisp and polite answer to any question you mention, you should at the very least do a bit of research on the questions you are going to highlight and try to answer with try being the operative word, it’s not really a complaint just stating how it is
It is a pretty good job, isn't it. The way the New stand blends with the mighty stadium is stunning. Anfield Will remain Anfield. Thank You Very Much

Stanley Park Graveyard is known as Anfield Cemetery, I was born in a house that overlooked the cemetery!

Another great Q&A Nick it's really coming on well.

Well done
surely the whole part with the orange scafolding gets taken away including the grey parts once side is connected to the roof struss
I think Gary meant the construction around and above the lift shaft on the Sir Kenny side
That was it 👍 thanks
Hi-vis people might be Community Service. Sure there’s quite a few in Liverpool…
Hi Mr drone another great video thanks just wondering if you know when the brick work will start.
cheers bud...👍

Pace hasnt slowed. Much of the obvious work has been done. They cannot fill in the sides as the gaps are still used for access and lifting steels.
They do a Sunday fun run around Stanley Park for kids. So they have adults in hi viz marshaling them Nick
Nick i think the high Viz jacket mob is something to do with some cross country running event I'd seen advertised for today
Is the wall near Shankly Gates being removed temporary while construction is happening or is it been removed permanently and will they remove the rest of it?
It's being removed permanently. They're opening it up - will ease the flow of people around the ground on matchday.
@@SpionKop304 Thanks for the update Richard. 👍YNWA
Will it just be stairs OR will there be escalators like in the mainstand

Good video, but this is so boring compared to what is happening at Bramley - Moore.
Does anyone know why football stadiums never have solar panels on the roof.
I've always wondered that too.
Er because they're football stadiums and not energy farms? All PL grounds are mandated to have their own generators to provide electricity in case of power outages. Solar panels are no good for supplying power for night games.
@@1701_FyldeFlyer well just found out the new Everton Stadium will be fitting Solar panels.
Also Frostgreen Stadium has Solar panels.
