Good short update, much appreciated 👍 .🥶 I keep telling you keep warm 🥃🥃, as well as a additional scarf do you need some fingerless gloves they work wonders.
Hi Nick, considering all the other videos you’re doing at the same time, this is another smashing piece of work. It’s definitely turning into Winter right now, so thanks for your usual excellent video and commentary.
MD, Keep an eye out for this. You might want to show the work being done in The Kop this month. Liverpool FC is expanding its rail seating trial on the Kop following the installation of the seating last season. The initial trial saw 7,800 seats with rail seating installed on the Kop and across the lower tier of the Anfield Road Stand. The club will now extend the trial of railed seating on the Kop and will use the winter break of the Premier League season to install an additional 2,500 rail seats. The expansion will be across blocks 202-306, rows 61-49 on the Kop. This will take the total rail seats in the Kop to 4,300. Work will commence imminently and will take approximately five weeks to install.
Rangers fan here. Love ur videos as a football fan for both Anfield and new Everton stadium. Watch the channel weekly. If you have to abort and go back when weather better that's cool. The viewers enjoy the quality content regardless if it's late or on time.
Thanks Nick, for the video and for enduring the weather conditions again, I think I may have been the one to pull you on the weather moans…apologies, it’s completely understandable, when your freezing or flying into wind or rain or fog/mist or bright sun, it’s a factor you have to contend with. Your such a pro and we need to appreciate what it takes to get the coverage we are all clamouring for. Just a heads up, we are fast approaching winter and you may get some snow too. Get those gloves sorted mate 👍👍
Hi Paul, great videos, there is 1 more bank of terrace to go in SKD end and 2 more by main stand and reckon then all the steel work with orange on get taken away as this supports the big truss that goes across the stand
Thanks Mr D for another great viewing of the anfeild Rd stand in very difficult conditions really appreciate your time and effort keep up the good footage 👍 cheers MR D 👍
Thank you very much for the update yes the Video was clear but you could see the mist rolling in I expect by early evening Stanley Park would have been covered in mist.
Great update as always. By the time you do your weekend video, the concrete on the main building roof should be complete, and most of the steelwork joining the corner with the roof supports at the SKD end should be in place. They are cracking on. And scaffolding going back up at the back of the stand, so looks like brickwork may start in earnest soon.
Evening Nick, another great vid to see more changes. Looks like the start of the fascia in the middle of the stand has started by the scaffolding. Also noticed internal stud walls going in.
Looks like they’ve installed lights at the back of the new main stand in the very last row to help in the winter days to be doing the under side of the new roof. The roof they building in the orange frame at the side of the main stand looks to be for the sections that slope down at an angle from the rest of the roof & both sides have an angle like 45degrees cut off from the rest of the roof. Looks like they going to be building the other side seen they have one of those orange frame at the back where the big crane is on the SKD side of the ARS. Also looks to be right that they getting ready of glass to be installed with scaffolding set up. Great to see the updates keep ‘er lit
Hi Nick, regarding that big span they're assembling on the floor between the ARE and the Main Stand, you can tell where it's going to go by the way it's tapered. It must be going to be rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise and inserted as the final back-span in that ARE / Main Stand corner. The block of terracing they're about to put in next will taper down on the Main Stand end, a mirror image of the most recent block they've put in on the opposite corner. And the new back-span on the floor tapers at the same angle (look at its thin end to see what I mean). It's surprising they've built that back-span first though, as opposed to the ARE / SKD corner, which is a bit further advanced than the ARE / Main Stand corner.
Great work as always Mr D - well done for getting back for your weekly update. Not strictly Anfield Road End related, but they are installing rail seating in The Kop from rows 49-61 - any chance you can have a quick nosey there at the weekend to see if you can see anything - may be too high up as its from level 3 backwards.
The back span being built at the Main Stand end is for the KD side of the new stand and is built at an angle so as to be a shoulder for the roof where the stand slopes down at the sides. It will connect to the truss at an angle which is know as bevellingb I think. So it looks different to the other backspans 👍
thanks for this Derek, when i asked someone at the site the other day they just said 'it was going up there obviously' which wasnt helpful, so thanks for this
Great footage again Mr D. Steel work starting to pick up pace with concrete terrace panels not far behind. Pity the old roof is staying on until summer but stand looking impressive week by week.
Did you see that pole I was on about in the end? At the SKD end the last section of terracing won’t be parallel either, it will get wider the higher it goes up. The backspan is for the SKD end I’m sure. Has the seats are sloping the back span is a weird twisted like shape to go with the sloping down of the seats and big roof truss.
Great work as always MD! I know you are an Everton fan, but you really did look blue in that video in the cold!!! Staggering progress on both sides from the weekend, and fresh scaffolding up in front of the central VIP entrance, wonder if they will be closing up the building by adding the glazing / external cladding soon? Puzzling that there has been no further progress on the purlins to link the next sections of the roof together, feels like ages they have been at that point of the roof.
There still seems to be orange temporary steel supports at right along the back of the stand where the back spans meet the last row of seating. I'm assuming the gaps have been left so the cranes can get them out. Can't think of any other ways how they would be removed they probably weigh a ton and there on the very back row haha.
Today's views really show how the new stand will connect to the roof of the Main Stand. Is it possible to get some idea how they are planning to connect the roofs on the Anfield Road and SKD stands at the other side, as there's very evidently a bigger gap there. (Thank you for braving the cold - I've certainly been feeling it during my morning cycle to work, and that's with my gloves on!)
Regarding the roof connection between the ARS and SKD stand, looking at the fact another width of terracing has to go in the ARS they will surely have to remove the side panel and at least the first section of roof from SKD. Otherwise there will be a thousand ish fans in the new upper tier with no view. Maybe a question for this weekends video Mr D???
Well done Nick, another interesting video to keep us all up to date! Just wondering if it would be possible at the end of the build to stitch together a time lapse sequence? Suppose it would be v difficult unless you could capture an image from exactly the same spot each time. Just a thought - great work, keep it up. Thanks
I am sorry but I don't like the abrupt cuts. Just when yo want to take a closer look, it cuts to a new scene. I just wish the camera will linger longer and let us look more closely. But fair job to Mister drone for taking the initiative.
Great vids lad, always good to catch up on the progress. Where you mention the steel being put together on the main stand side that looks to be the back span for the SKD side where the roof goes into the corner. Also looks like they are starting to poor the concrete on the roof at the back of the terracing.
Yep, a lot of concrete has been poured on the top roof slab area where the external HVAC equipment will sit… huge pours over the last few days to achieve that concrete coverage area.
Hi Mr Drone you probably would not do well living here in Canada LOL. Really enjoy the videos each time you post. Wondering if the scaffolding in the bottom centre of the Anfield Rd stand is the start of brick work. Paul a an expat Canadian Reds fan
Hi Nick well done mate, another great update from you considering how cold you reported it to be up there. Would i be right in thinking the other span waiting to go up will be for the end linking the AR to the Sir Kenny stand? As you say it does look totally different to the other spans.
Nick remember the scaffolding at the bottom of the centre of the back of the stand had been removed on the last video now the scaffolding is back up. Was it just removed to get equipment inside through the stairs as even 1set of stair's was covered in yellow I'm thinking to stop muddy boots leaving it rotten
keep warm well done for braving the cold weather to bring another great video I enjoy watching your videos from Plymouth Devon looking forward to seeing the finished article so could you tell me is the anfield Road end still going to be for home and away fans or just as before away fans? hope you warmed up in the end
The away section will remain where it's always been, lower tier of the Annie Road stand at the Main Stand end (circa 2500-3000 seats for away fans for PL games but a bigger allocation for domestic cup and European games)
Hello. There appears to be some demolition of the wall between the KDS and the new Anfield road stand by the YNWA gates.Any idea what is going on?Thanks.
Anyone know, when they come to remove the roof n that in the summer, are they using the existing anfield road lower tier, or will they be clearing the whole lot out and building a brand new lower tier for the new stand?
Good short update, much appreciated 👍 .🥶 I keep telling you keep warm 🥃🥃, as well as a additional scarf do you need some fingerless gloves they work wonders.

Another amazing update Mr Drone! Thank you for your efforts.
Hi Mr drone, really enjoyed all your video trips to Anfield rebuild. You have done a great job.
Thanks for the updates as always Mr Drone, lots going on with the main stand end corners and more terracing going in, love these videos

@@williamwilcock4326 no, you're right he wasn't wrong, but he could have had less of an attitude towards it
It's not for the SKD end its for the main stand end that's why it's built at that end
That backspan is for that end its at now.
Nice video amazing footage!!! From Athens Greece!! Tsimikas Liverpool!!!!!!!

Again nice vid, nice music Mr D
It's been misty up in South West Scotland for the past two days.
Very similar to what you have down in Liverpool there.
Top music to go with the video YNWA

I fly RC helis. Get yourself some running gloves. They're thin enough that you can control a drone etc yet thick enough to keep fingers warm.
Amazing stadium
Good video, lads on site working hard
Gonna look a bit like St James Park with 2 sides going way up and the other 2 stands being much smaller.

The Lego stadium 😂
Great video again 🙂 what is the music BTW. Cheers
Hi great videos Mr drone will the new Anfield Road stand have the metal structure on top of the roof like the main stand has?
It will have the same roof cladding but the big grey roof truss which goes over the main stand won't be on the new Anfield Road stand.
No. The Main Stand truss is external, but the truss on the new ARE is internal, within the roof structure itself.
Nick remember the scaffolding at the bottom of the centre of the back of the stand had been removed on the last video now the scaffolding is back up. Solar Panels.

It’s never been just for away fans. Always home and away have been located in that stand 👍🏻
The away section will remain where it's always been, lower tier of the Annie Road stand at the Main Stand end (circa 2500-3000 seats for away fans for PL games but a bigger allocation for domestic cup and European games)
It seems that back span is for the corner beetween Anfield Road End Stand and Kenny Dalglish stand there in the corn and it is not straight angel.
If you check the angels, you can actually tell it’s for the Main Stand end.
The new truss is different, it’s for the very ends so has a slightly different shape to it.
Nice video as usual
It seems like the SKD stand side corner terrace is almost complete, so I presume that they will be lifting the corner roofing soon
Another section to go yet at both ends smaller ones.
They’re gonna need room to get the old roof off and out of the inside of the ground, though, no?
@@Dude0000 they’ll take the old roof off piecemeal so don’t need to keep gaps open.

Is there scaffolding back so they can get ready for the glass panelling ?

Why do English stadiums bother with those dipping roofs? Is there a specific reason for it other than drainage or noise?

What are those bright orange lights I've noticed on the pitch the last few weeks
Anyone?
They are artificial light which keeps the pitch in summer condition even in winter when sunlight is in short supply.

The progress a bit slow🤔 Are they able to complete before next season start?
It's still on track to be completed for the start of next season.
👍👍👍
Are there any plans for the away fans be relocated when the work is completed, or will they remain is the current spot ? Thanks
Same spot
Same as now, but spread over two tiers. So away section will look narrower but higher.
Anyone clarify me new stand is concrete stand are temporary stand like Qatar 947 stadium like that
