No soup for you...comes to mind. Seriously, powerful once you have the brand. The "lengthen the sales cycle" is really interesting. I am still pondering this concept, despite having heard that about high end vehicles.
I'm from Namibia, which is south of Africa. I've been following your information and inspiration sharing. I've learned alot. I come from a religious background, at the beginning, watching your video somehow provoked me in an experience I've never explored, so i kept on following your videos. All I'm trying to say in a nutshell is that "Thank you for your existence, for taking time to share from within yourself and from what you've learned". You fucken great man🙈🙊 Thanx hey.....
Cuz Dan is selling to high-ticket clients. In one of his videos, he roughly mentions that 'If you want to sell something of that value, you gotta look like someone who is willing to invest in that value." His consulting service is 100k-250k PER DAY so he gotta looks like someone who can afford that price. Not to mention, his reputation will be at stake if he dress like casual people.
too funny, "$10k, I want to give you!" "nope." LOL! A waiting list or spend more money and Ill talk to the partners. And only 2, not the ones you want, then a take away! If they want it they will buy something they don't want because they want the brand bling. So good Dan!
Great advice but I think it's not wise for those beginning luxury brands to set up such delays. You make the delays when uve already earned international respect.
That is brilliant not only in marketing and sales, - but industry specific - I think that could help them build and maintain a long term fashion, and buffer their product against short term fashion trends, also the class exclusivity is protected, someone who might have an extra 10k today from the lottery wont have it next year, only someone of higher class will consistently have an extra 10k just for a handbag.
I had received the Black Card invitation (to "apply"). One look at their (*RIDICULOUS*) annual fee, I tossed it into the garbage!Like Dan said, it's a FUCKING credit card! All of my credit cards don't charge me a single penny to use them (and I pay off my balance in full every month to avoid interest), and I often receive *MANY* invitations to apply for the free ones. Why the hell should I own a credit card that requires me to pay a fee?!?!? BTW, the Black Card can't be all that "exclusive" if they sent me invitation to apply--I don't have millions of dollars, nor is my social statute important. By their "application", one only needs to be willing to pay their exorbitant annual fee. I guess they are just not that appealing to people with low vanity. ;)
To what desire are you catering with goods that are consumed outside of public view (like cosmetics that simply feel good)? Is it enough to sell idea of indulgence that one deserves ... along with exclusively?
I want to sell a skincare product and to cover all my expenses and actually make profit I have to price my product high! Am just scared that I can not market it to appeal worth it !
Look at your competitors and price competitively! There are people who will pay for it. Skincare, especially exclusive, is all the rage!!! I’d send promo boxes, SUPER OFFICIAL, to the influencer here like Hiram and on IG. Make it IG and Snapchat worthy packaging.
Sifu Dan This blew my mind that there exists stores like that in this day and age. FUCKING STUPOR. Blindsiding clients with ego tickles. Fucking unscrupulous but amazing. Nick Mirante NY
Great lessons illustrated here by the Hermes bag example--creating the "Fab Factor", like one of my gay friends termed (this type of attitude) ... gotta keep it in mind the next time I deal with prospects. ;)
Dan, do you agree with me that most Jeet Kune Do practitioners actually have a terrible scarcity mentality? Same like low-end customer mentality. If they had what you had, they will easily see that there is more than enough for everyone. No need for all the bickering and squabbling.
Interesting selling point thought... hit me while watching... It is not for everyone. It is more expensive because that is the cost of refusing to take money from Not-My-Customer. If you want special service, provided by the happiest workers, you cannot have your workers dealing with losers. Right?
Well how many years have you been in the Luxury Business? How much do you worth? $50 million? What you say is good for people with small goals, and i think you learned wrong from Dan Pena, go and learn again.
Well if you think it is, English is not his first language. He came to Canada at 14 if I recall with no English on his lips. That should answer your question.
Delaying and Pushing Accessibility surges a buyers emotion, therefore they will value it and appreciate it way more.
Luxury brands make people wait and jump through many hoops, but brilliant marketing strategy.
Exclusivity is the key to the rich.
And quality no?

selling luxury product is about making more exclusive and postponing the sale generate more want
LEThavFUNnSMILE thats really like dating, when you show a girl that u dont care about her and dont want her, she’ll just want u even more.
@@funnyvideos199 Some women are like that. If someone were to try that with me, I'd think 'oh, they're not interested in me' and move on with my life.

Dan Lok was not immune to luxury brands' marketing hype and psychological trick as he was wearing an Hermes belt with a huge H logo in this video.
They buy on Hermes

Good cookie charvi.
Dan, again, brilliant use of exclusivity in influencing perception in favor of high pricing. Thanks Dan.

Wow, that's very interesting! The more you push them away, the harder they want it. Tnx for sharing, very valuable.
I'm beginning to see the picture. Thanks Dan.

Er-mes, not air-mess. Dan Lok pronounced it correctly!

Add Patek Philip and Rolex in the list.
Thanks
Of course it's not for every one, it's for those people that have more money than common sense
Ok...I won't look. What is there to look? I do not understand why you don't want me to look.
Why the heck pay 10-50k for Hermes. Buy it as high quality copy. That's how most of wealthy women do.

You cannot promote your product as MOST Prestigious, it is against the law because you cannot prove it.
