Beautiful game and I can tell you guys worked hard on it and the video. But this is incredibly difficult to follow and understand. Explaining the mechanics of a game isn’t enough. You have to explain the purpose of the actions of the game for a new player to fully understand.
Unfortunately the solo instruction part of the video doesn't cover anything in detail just as in the rule book. Would be nice if Tangu cards were explained.
I really enjoy Silk and me and other Japanese friends play it often because it is cute pieces but very aggressive gameplay. I like you take some themes from culture and use them in your way for a world. I look forward.to play this also.
There is no getting away from the fact that this game is an attractive but unplayable mess. The instruction manual is unreadable, and in places contradicts what is said in this video. Even this video, whereas helpful in explaining some of the mechanics, doesn't explain other things in enough detail to help players understand intent/follow through of some actions. You would have to play this several times before even some of the basic mechanics begin to make sense. Imagine having to explain the rules to friends who may be join you for some game time. Did you do any play testing of this before releasing it?
I would love it if this video had chapters added to skip to segments during a teach.
