hey guys, I just got my Canyon the other day.. granted it does take some getting-to-use-to, but it's got loads of potential if used properly and not overly excessive. here's a good tip for you, in "Shimmer" mode, if you hit the Tap/Divide it enhances the decay times, on Red it lasts longer, on Yellow, a bit less & on Green it's much quicker still it does create a nice full, layered effect both with chord structures & soloing riffs ! Have fun & experiment away ... the only thing missing on this lil' stomper, which would have been nice is a "tremolo" mode ... ah well.. enjoy!
I see all these complaints that they aren't making music but it's all opinion-based. The reason I got this pedal was to do this sort of weird-sounding stuff because I feel like it's something new to add to normal music. I think people need to chill lmao.
I don't think most of the people commenting about them just making noise realize that noise is an actual type of music or lack there of sometimes depending on who is doing in. Not long after messing with mine I thought "this would be a good noise pedal".
Sounds exactly like it should. Perfect. Although, as good as it is, considering my current rig, i would be much more interested in "Deluxe" version with presets, expression pedal input, proper tap tempo etc.
So, if you disable the tamp tempo with the internal switch, does that just disable it on the device itself, or does it also disable tap from an external switch?
Nice to see SOMEONE received theirs already.. It would be nice if you put the pedal in a more musical context rather than just making nasty noises with it though (except for a few moments in the video). Anyways thanks.
I've had mine almost a week. I've spent about 6 hours total on the thing and have yet to figure it out. But I'm determined to like it...deservedly or no.
davehead4real no, mate. The same goes for Tc's Flashback :( I honestly wonder if it's really that hard to add a toggle switch to turn the looper mode on instead of having to use the delay mode's pot. I'm starting to miss my goddamn Flashback X4 :'(
gabo palacios yeah it's disappointing on that aspect of the pedal, so i ended up adding a delay on my zoom a3 to get around it but still wish i could use the looper with all the other effects.. :(
Omfug, this pedal is MADE for being used with the trails on. Try to think: how otherwise is the tap tempo supposed to be used? You tap once - off, on the second tap it turns back on again and your time is set. But of course, the guys at EHX know that the world is full of wankers who won’t buy anything without TRUE BYPASS because otherwise their tone would be ruined forever or something like that.
A lot of talk, a bit of string strumming, and a lot of flippertronic bleep-bleep sounds. Based on this demo alone I wouldn't buy this pedal. I'll wait for a demo by someone who can actually play the guitar.
Hans Neervoort check out the Canyon demo on the EHX RUclips page, its loads better than this one. I wasn't sure about the Canyon until I saw that demo, now it seems like an awesome pedal.

One of the best pedals out there it does so many things. It's a multi-functional pedal that you can create, tweak just about any sound you might need.

I've got pedals that cover most of this but my favourite sound is the shimmer, is there a pedal available that does just that?

davehead4real or you could buy a looper. I've read great things about Rowin Looper pedal and it's cheap as hell
