    THANK YOU. I've watched so many of these trying to just learn how to save the edits. NO one would tell us how to "Save" the edits in the GX-100 after you finish choosing what you want!!!! Finally, you did. Thanks again

    you start by using a blank patch, can you show us how to actually get a blank patch? everything i try just overrides the original patches which i don't really want to do.

      This is exactly my question! I just started with this unit a couple days ago and still cannot find a blank patch!

      Find a user patch you'll never use and delete all those effects until you have a blank slate, then add what you want one by one. I did some cool acoustic guitar stuff doing this. Then hit "Write" and label it, then put it where you want. I suggest taking a bank or two just for acoustic guitar. (Six string, classical, 12 string) You can go to the factory presets and bring back User presets you deleted should you wanna. I didn't use an amp at all on some acoustic stuff, just reverb, delay and some chorus then ran direct and use the EQ on the guitar. The JC-120 is a good acoustic amp should you need one. Just my humble opinion.

      @@wilhodge1312 I just don't get why there aren't blanks to begin with. Therein lies the confusion, at least for me.

    How do you find the blank patches? Or are you just wiping out a preset patch and overwriting?

    Ok how do you get the blank canvas to begin with? Everything is filled with effects from factory, mine is fresh out' the box and I am unsure how to get the blank canvas.

      @@Tyt130 i found that there are 2 banks both have same preset so you have to chose the second bank while write the patch it will come after P50 after all loop patch and start thr counter from 1 again

      Anyway you can gain access quickly to your home made preset instead of searching through the banks?

      out of the box the preset patches and user patches are the same,, if you overwrite patch 1-1 in the user bank the factory patch is still 1-1 in the preset bank.

    As some other people stated: there are no blank patches to start with? I also went to play my GX-100 the other day, and all of my user patches I made were gone? I didn't update, they were just gone. Not only that, I cannot connect my GX-100 to my laptop running macOS Ventura, so it's impossible to back them up or use Boss Tone Studio app. Thinking about selling as I don't trust this machine now to not erase my patches.

    Does anyone know how to copy a preset to a different location.

  • @samuelcohen2362
    @samuelcohen2362 Год назад

    Do you know how to copy and paste presettings? That way I can rearrange the already existing presettings to create my own personal banks. For instance, taking the surf rock 12-1 from bank 12 and match it with the Studio Blues 1-3 from bank 1 to create my own personal bank with those two settings from different banks. Just in the same bank.

    What about 4 cable method and amp control?

    • @ken3404

      It doesnt work well with hi gain tube amps, it drove me nuts for a month before I put in on the shelf (its actually on the floor keeping my music room door open). Theres no info out there on using it with tube amps. No support from boss, they never even answered, nothing important in the manual that you have to download... I used the GT8 with several amps and the 4cm for over 10 years and loved it, pretty much the same settings.... I would suggest doing some research outside of video reviews and demos, also going to an actual store that will let you test drive it the way you want to use it.. If I did that I wouldn't have a $600 doorstop with a fancy touch screen.. good luck

    I thought I was going mad. I'm so sick of this think. The amps all sound the same and there's gain on everything . You can't get a good clean tone and you have to write the descriptions backwards. I think I hate it
