Great video and long time subscriber! Can you delve more into economically insulating against condensation for those of us using containers solely as storage? Steel studs, your bracketry, spray foam, mineral wool, plywood\sheetrock....it really adds up. Obviously depends on a person's climate but in temperate zones, what is the most economical long term condensation\mold eliminating setup solely for storing water susceptible items?
Also similar Q's especially for double and quad side door containers. Insulating 3 or 5 doors with x3/x5 framing kits plus above for walls really adds up! Any ideas?

So glad to watch this video. I think I understand the purpose of the external supports but I have a question I'm hoping you can answer. I someone were to combine 6 - 40 foot containers stacked up in groups of two each, would they need provide additional support (as it's displayed on the outside) in the inside of the structure as well ? Considering that the six 40 foot containers would be a two storey dwelling with all containers evenly stacked ?
Thanks again for posting your great containers and container tools. I look forward to using them in my future build !! Keep up the great work guys!! God Bless❤ 📦 ❤ 📦 ❤

You stole my idea! Having a second container on the inside of another one. Once at the location, it basically slides out 1/2 from each side, creating a double wide container house! Love the bracket idea of adding them to the outside, then insulation and finished siding material. So then you have a full width inside for living space!
Have you figured out how to join two containers together without having the header sticking above the containers? Is there any way to add that header on the inside, flush with the roof panels, so if you wanted to add a second story, the header wouldn't be in the way?
One quick question. By removing the walls from three containers, how much floor strength would be lost? These three containers were mounted on top of three other containers. A second story design. Or the 3 on the bottom were a basement, and 3 on top were used as a garage? Would I need to add additional columns and headers spanning the width of the 3 on the bottom or both top and bottom ones? And filling the gap between the upper containers and the lower containers.

You are incredible and have a ton of energy with your own industrial customers -- but I think a ton of residential opportunities exist like me who can use our ranch, build a container with floor to ceiling windows the entire span and a turn-key solution -- just to be built out with our labor -- would be incredible... Maybe you can design a solar water system along side the solar panels to heat the space instead of using resistive heating. Simple black tubing in a glass case works pretty good at getting that solar heat. When I started contracting back in 2002 in Afghanistan, we modified shipping containers for living and office spaces. That was before the shipping container building boom took off. We used 2x4 cut in half with 1/2" plywood inside. Had a AC split unit set inside front along wall, so all we had to do was to disconnect power and close the doors and move the container to new location.

Be cool to paint the container black, put black pipes or extrusions with water flowing through them in the inside corrugations and use foil tape or reflective vinyl on the angled corrugations to reflect the sun to heat the water. Or make vacuum tubes the shape of the corrugations and collect along the top rail. 💡 One day.. haha

Go for it! Containers may not be the best solution. I'm not all in on them for homes by any means. Concrete as thermal mass, spray foam for air seal and PEX lines for hydronic heating / cooling wherever you can get them (floors, walls, below your slab, any source of geothermal, everywhere haha). Your mechanical systems can always upgrade with technology if you use hydronic. Moving water is the cheapest way to transfer heat.
I bought some Dual Sun solar panels that are PV and hydronic heat. Hopefully I can show those off on the channel one of these days. Don't really have a project ready to install them.
