The one thing I remember from high school algebra is Nic Cage + Dream Premise + 16mm = A24. It was true in 1998 and it's true today.
A leading role i bet many actors wanted.
Dream Scenario looks really good . Nicolas Cage is given great performances with all his recent films . So I will watch this movie for sure 👀👀👀 .

I watched the movie it was decent. I know it's just a movie but I was getting pissed how people were acting towards him. It's not his fault.
This is an utterly fascinating film, and is very well written. There is a level of surrealism that is rare in film these days. Nicolas Cage is definitely back to his old form, and bringing alot to the table these days. The film asks a lot of questions of its audience, what I got out of it was the extreme level of weakness that society is engaging in and allowing, by embracing woke culture, Uber PC and allowing cancel culture to happen, especially at the university level, where it's rampant.
The secondary message that I got from the film is that Gen Z is likely the weakest generation in the history of mankind, and some of the things that we need to be asking ourselves are how prepared we for any sort of disaster, a great war, or famine and such. Would the current generation of youth simply crumble under such pressure?
For me this movie asked all those questions, in a very abstract manner and Illustrated the extreme danger that we're all in, by embracing woke culture and victimhood, fake terror and massive self delusion.
Ultimately it's important to acknowledge that dreams are ridiculous, they are a form of mental diarrhea, and absolute garbage. They mean nothing and they simply must be dismissed.
If you watched the last five minutes of this incredible movie and that's how you surmise the role dreams play in the collective consciousness, well, you're just writing with bias goggles. The suit.

Inteligente film, a veces quizás demasiado, que tiene un buen guion, analizando temas de candente actualidad nada positivos, bajo un prisma de drama fantástico metido en la ciencia ficción y quién sabe si anticipación.
La película tiene, por así decirlo, una primera parte primorosa, que mete al espectador en un mundo extraño, que hace florecer la amargura y soledad del protagonista, que no puede hacer frente (ni los demás) a una situación absurda que pasa de ser curiosa a peligrosa.
A veces logra la sonrisa, que nunca risa, al mostrar momentos surrealistas, imaginativos y llenas de intención, y a veces es bastante dramática, no en vano resulta, si se piensa bien, dolorosa en su triste humanidad.
Es verdad que remite la historia y modo de narrarla a anteriores películas de directores como Spike Jonze y/o Charlie Kauffman, cosa que por lo visto y oído tiene que ser muy positivo, pero que a mí, particularmente, me resbala un poquito.
Y es que, aceptando que esta cinta es entretenida e interesante, amén de excelentemente interpretada por un soberbio Nicolas Cage (nunca ha dejado de ser un superlativo actor, otra cosa son la mayoría de papeles aceptados en la última década...), decía que aceptando todo eso, no ha llegado casi nunca a epatarme, dejándome con una extraña sensación de que no he sabido entrar en su alma. Puede ser porque a mí me gusta, sobre todo, el cine clásico y este film de clásico, de convencional, no tiene nada de nada.
En fin, creo que muy ambiciosa, que motiva al espectador y le invita a reflexionar sobre la deriva del mundo actual, sea la que esta sea.
