      I'm a little late to the question and biased but Split EQ is phenomenal. I've never felt I had that much control over the sound while EQ-ing and actually getting to a result I'm fully happy with and without concessions.

    This is really good. I like that it's not trying to be a saturator too. Just focusing on one this from pretty much every angle. And there's oversampling... Because without it, this level of dynamic control would definitely create audible aliasing. I'm going to have to check this one out. It sounds like things are generally really well done with consideration for sonic impact..... Most of the tweaks you demonstrated sounded very natural.

    • @whitenoisestudio

      This plugin is a beast. I basically always dial a little upward compression ( just a little! ) , and use downward compression to control peak and louder parts. It works so well on basically all audio you use it on.

    The transient shaper alone makes this worth its price and them some. I don't even use it as a compressor as I prefer the sound of other plugins but simply putting this on the master and adding a little transient and tone really brings out the kick, bass and snare drum.

    I have the mix and master subscription so downloaded this immediately to try it out. This has a very steep learning curve! I threw it onto a drum buss and my mastering chain on a track i was working on. I played with some presets and made some adjustments. It would be nice if there was an AI analysis feature like some of the izotope plugins or other smart plugins. Im definitely going to have to play with this more but very impressed by my initial experience.

    This seems too similar to NewFangled Audio's Elevate for me to justify, but it's cool to see other companies take on this style of processing! I do like ADPTR audio's work as a Metric AB owner.

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  2 года назад +3

      I have never dived into elevate, seems interesting to put it up against sculpt. As far as I can tell right now, i'd say sculpt is more versitile because Elevate mentions multiband limiting and maximizing. Sculpt is dynamics processing in the broadest sense, including compression and not multiband - much more sidechain orientated which will influence the entire audio.

To use use just one plugins to automate dynamics and articulations in the bus would be ideal

    • @whitenoisestudio
      @whitenoisestudio  2 года назад +4

      Sculpt is a compression / dynamics specialist. Ozone is way more of an all in one mastering package and Neutron more of a channel strip XXL. So there is absolutely overlap, sculpt is dynamics only and does that really, really good and more flexible than neutron or ozone.

    • @whitenoisestudio

    • @whitenoisestudio

      Elevate is optimized for mastering and has tools tailored for that. So for that purpose alone Elevate would be better suited.
