aside being funny, i love this level because is seen a glipse of the city that surround the skyscraper, levels like this could be a very cool idea, in new mario kar games, but with much more modern cities as scenarios, perhaps in a european style.
@@Godzillaman the city is supposed to be New York and the Skyscraper arena is supposed to be the roof of one of the Twin Towers...clear example of 9/11 foreshadowing...it's especially clear when a player falls down the tower like at 0:12
What I love about this stage was the fact that to evoke the feeling of being suspended high up in the sky, the out-of-bounds area was placed so far beneath the stage, meaning the drop would be a *LONG WAY DOWN* and if you were to drop right off the stage to your death, you would fall...and fall...and fall...AND FALL. For some reason, that sort of reminded me of the Nightmare level from the first two Jet Moto games for the PS1, whose level was suspended several stories above a city and falling off the course would result in you spending several seconds falling to your doom until you reached the out-of-bounds zone and respawn. The downside is that because the OB zone is too far below the course, the time you have to spend tumbling to you doom practically gives your opponents plenty of time to pass you, and if you were in first place at the time, your only hope was to just gun it however you could just to claw your way back into the lead again.
Toad: I'm gonna kick your tail, dino dork!
Yoshi: Bring it on, fungal freak!
Lol 😆
The first two seconds are just what I was looking for a short text tone I'll love forever! Childhood bliss...

I always wondered what city it's supposed to be. When I was a kid, I thought it was Las Vegas.

@@bloodedge1528 On time playing JM2 I was racing on Nightmare, I fell off and ended up getting nearly overlapped by Vampeera, she got so far ahead.
@@bloodedge1528Also the camera pan at 0:12 out kinda reminds me of when you fall to your death in Twisted Metal
For the Triple Green Shells, I wouldn’t fire them on this battle stage.
Yoshi: An innocent dino
Toad: A cheating mushroom
Who would *deserve* to win?
They pitched the engines down.
They drive like my sister and she always comes in last place
The best characters
