This is not a hard boss at all, despite the fact that everything's been building up to this battle. Start off by killing the Satellmites so Dark Star will toss a bomb at it. When it does, watch which Bro the Satellmite aims for, and smack it back at the Dark Star. DON'T hit the bomb or you'll take damage. Do this for both Satellmites, and Dark Star will be defenseless. Let loose your best attacks here.

The only remake i like is Superstar Sagas. It didnt nerf them, they buffed them and it was beautiful.

In the remake the dark star is shaking its head in the final battle. I guess the dark star is just disappointed.

I always imagined if mario collected/absorbed the dark star like the super star poweerup he would have a permanent invincibility where he flashes purple and black and could jump twice as high (until he falls down a cliff)

@@Prince_Eva_Huepowit makes sense. After all from a plot point you almost never fight what's supposed to be the final boss with just a fraction of its actual power. The dark star wasn't at it's 100% power because of fawful so everyone with the smallest bit of common sense would have knew from the start this wasn't going to be the final battle
@@ginocanterino258 There's plenty to make it obvious regardless of theme. Using the "Alert" just undermines the boss. I'm glad they changed it.
@@Prince_Eva_Huepow if something is obvious already for anyone with a functioning neuron putting a different soundtrack to try and hide it it's just pointless and meaningless extra effort. The remake did this extra effort but knowing how hard the company failed after said remake I guess they should have put their efforts somewhere else
To make this fight even more intimidating, I played the final boss theme from Mario Party ds. It's theme would fit perfectly for The Dark Star
Remake has an original dark star boss fight theme which in My opinion fits Even better, It's called "destroy The dark Power"

I really like the attack where there is a shadow of each of the Bros and there is just a representation.
The Dark Star had absorbed the genetic information of Bowser, turning it into Dark Bowser.
It even look like a virus.
I hear that the vacuum attack used by the Dark Star at 5:05 does massive damage if Mario or Luigi get pulled in.
I did a Test and Yes for Both Of them if Mario or Luigi Is Sucked and Luigi or Mario escape,Dark Star Spits Mario or Luigi into Luigi or Mario like a Meteor which cause an Insane Amount of Damage that Defeats Both of Them

@the crewmember with amazing arms it can insta kill but if you're over overleveled and at full heath you can survive.
Watching this compared to the remake, I think the only thing it has that this should've had was more fitting music for the fight.

1:40 Dark Star's Bowser's form puffs his cheeks is kinda cute.
My favorite attack is when it copies their shadows and attacks them like a voodoo doll. Although if you don't know which bro is which you could always press both buttons.

You have to hold the buttons til his attack ends. Just jumping and letting go doesn't work.

@MrNoseSnot Don't use specials on the first turn. Wait until you knock the minions back at him, DON'T swing at the bombs. You will get hurt. Once both little Stars hit him, he'll be vulnerable. Hit him with everything you've got during this phase. He has a couple attacks even when like this, however, so still be cautious. And again, if all else fails, you can do some level grinding to boost your attack and defense

@BonkHazard Basically once the arrow appears, slide from one side of the screen to the other. As for knowing how to swing at this thing? It'll show on the top screen. When the star goes up with the bomb, it'll split off. If the star goes top left, it'll go for Mario. If it goes bottom left, it'll go for Luigi
actually, Magic Window is capable of racking up more damage than Falling Star. I have tried both.
@artforus I would assume it's an instant kill on the Bros. I never let myself get sucked in, so I really wouldn't know
@thedarkness1243 I use DeSmuME to record, and I use Camtasia Studio for the editing. I use the zoom & pan tool to switch between screens like that
@andy89135 because it's the last pure Mario & Luigi boss battle. Every boss from here on out starts off with you using Bowser

@Jojobebobo Yeah, as long as you know how to do it right, Magic Window works perfectly here. I only recommended Falling Star since it's easier and does a lot of damage
@roxas680 I really don't know, it's just a random chance for every battle. You'd be surprised how many 1s I got BEFORE and hell even after this fight

ok, i beat junker and got falling star, but im stuck on this guy now, cuz i cant hurt it. ive tried knocking the bombs back from his little minions but it always kills me, and i cant waste a turn to reheal my special. help with this boss pl0x?
How come when you do your bonus points (not the lv up points the extra points) are a high chance of getting a 3 instead of getting a High chance of getting 1 somebody pls respond

I personally think the bosses should have more health.
you take critical damage, but not an IHKO (unless you got damaged a bit in the fight) if your underleveled it is also an OHKO.

its a rare drop if u want to get it save before u fight dark star then if u dont get it then turn off and battle again do this in till you get it simple right? oh and he got though luck dont get upset if u dont get it the first time try a few more times ull get it soon enough

In all seriousness, this is actually coming from years of playing videogames. About 20 years to be specific. My finger speed more or less increased as the years went on.
As for the D-Star Wear, it's a rare drop. More often than not, you won't get it. I just happened to get lucky

It isn't, but it does deal a lot of damage (and the X version deals about triple that).

oh yeah if u see partners in time get that one as well theres a hidden boss in this game rember fawful fell out of the castle corrcet? well he moves to the mushroom kingdom and plotted his revenage during that time the bros had a alien attack the shroob sisters tried to take over mushroom kingdom when this took place he was ready and ill tell you what happend to the shoob dodos the young one was forced to disappear and the elder once got eaten by bowser. Litreally. not enough space part 2 soon!
