So, when people read the Bible, and Jesus reveals himself to them through the Bible, can this work without Christ actually revealing himself in that manner on a personal level to us? For if that were the case, then all it would need to know Christ would be to read words from a book, which does not seem very convincing to me..

Thank you guys so much for this. Your title for this video is 100% correct. It truly was an amazing conversation. So much respect for one another on both sides. This is a wonderful example of how we should spread the Gospel to others in a respectful yet truthful way.
Andrew you did such a great job explaining the gospel to these friendly LDS members. You have a gift of explaining the Gospel that is very unique in my opinion. I really appreciate it.
Ryan I agree with you 100% about God being better than what the LDS church teaches. Now that I’m out of the church and truly studying the Bible alone I am learning who Jesus really is. Jesus truly is more amazing than I had ever imagined as a Mormon. I have so much more peace in my life when I put all of my trust in Jesus Christ alone and not of anything I can do. Jesus Christ did it all. As a LDS member for 38 years I always had guilt and shame for never being good enough. Until I was out of the church and learned who the true Biblical Jesus was, I could not see what He did and fully understand it. I always read the Bible through the lens of Mormon teachings and that changed who Jesus was and what he accomplished. Thank you again guys this was great. We need to pray for those wonderful LDS men that God will change their hearts so they can see the truth.

The words in the Bible and the Word Jesus Christ Himself who is written about and recorded in the Bible says different.
      📖👇😊
[16] "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on him is NOT CONDEMNED: but he that believeth not is CONDEMNED ALREADY, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
[19] And THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, 😐👉 that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[20] For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[21] But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
      -John 3:16-21 📖
      🕊️
-Step into the light, expose your deeds, and the dragon will come after you, yet Yeshua will deliver you and preserve your soul unto Eternal Life. ☁️
-Stay in the shadow, hide your sins, and you will be the dragon's friend and will perish with him in the Eternal Lake of Fire 🔥 after Yeshua returns to slay him by the brightness of His coming and the sharp sword coming out of His mouth.
      ⚖️
Denying the Lord Yeshua His rightful place as the ONLY Intermediary to the Father and attempting to justify yourself instead is a guaranteed sentence to death, hell, and condemnation in that eternal prison.
You are not equipped and you are not sufficient to pay your debts before a Just, Perfect, and Holy God, neither will you ever be.
      🕊️
Repent and believe the good news!
Jesus Christ who is God in the flesh died for your sins and rose again for your justification.
Who can lay an accusation against the redeemed who put their faith in His name that will hold up in the heavenly courts?
      No one.

Apologia criticise the third article of faith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which reads; “We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.” Apologia say they have a problem with that because they say we are saved by grace, which is unmerited favour. I have a sincere question. You say that God is just. Using the 10 commandments you ask if he has lied. Of coarse he has lied, we all have sinned and fallen short of the kingdom of God. James says if your guilty of one point of the law or guilty of all of it. God is loving but he is also just, correct ?
Ok here is my question. Why would a loving God condemn his children to hell for a sin of lying? What earthly judge would do that?? If an earthly judge wouldn’t do that neither would your father in heaven. Think of hell. You would probably believe that hell is worse then any earthly prison. So not only is casting someone to hell, for eternity, not just it’s actually the opposite it’s sadistic. Nothing about that is love.
    Teach love! God is love!

    • @johnroemeeks_apologetics
      @johnroemeeks_apologetics 6 месяцев назад

Hell is eternal separation from God. It's a penitentiary for the wicked. In the next life, you're either with God or seperated from him. Those who die in their sin are seperated from him. I'd be careful calling God sadistic if I were you, that's called blasphemy. You need to repent and stop listening to those demons putting those ideas in your head. God is love but he is also justice and righteous.
      ‭‭Matthew 12:34-37 NIV‬‬
[34] You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. [35] A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. [36] But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. [37] For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

    • @mikejustice7724
      @mikejustice7724 6 месяцев назад

Please read again what I said. I didn’t call God sadistic in fact I said God is love the same as you. I’m asking a question about justice. God is the judge. You say hell is the penitentiary for the wicked. Eternal separation from God. But you didn’t answer my question. My question, and I am asking this sincerely so if that comes from demons I am sorry. Please help me and pray for me not condemn me….
      Again here is the question.
Why does God as the judge send someone eternally away from him? Why not a second chance? Why not a time sentence such as a thousand years?
Example liars go to hell correct. At least those that don’t believe in the savior. What would happen if an earthly judge sentenced someone to life in prison if they lied?
You say that God is love but that’s not love. You say that God is justice but that’s not justice either.
Again sorry that what I said offended you and I wish you all of Gods love and mercy. I just have a hard time with the hell doctrine of Christianity. I do believe God is love justice mercy and righteousness. I simply will believe in him trust in his judgements and hope that he will be merciful to me my family, friends and fellow beings

    • @johnroemeeks_apologetics
      @johnroemeeks_apologetics 6 месяцев назад

@mikejustice7724 You said you believe God is love, justice, mercy, and righteous. For God to be just and righteous, he must punish sin, if he didn't he wouldn't be just. In the same way the law and courts must punish wrongdoing. The Bible says the wages of sin is death. That's why Adam and Eve became subject to death and why the whole Earth is cursed. Sin is very serious to a Holy God, more so than you can ever imagine or understand. But like you said God is merciful and loving, that's why he paid for our sins himself and made salvation available by us repenting and living for him. If you want to know everything about Hell you need to take that up with God. I can only speak on what he reveals in the Bible. But it just makes sense to me that those who live in sin and reject God will not be with him in the next life. The thought of Hell doesn't seem pleasant by no means, but God is just and fair and I don't question him in how he runs the universe. I know he's more loving, merciful, and fair than I am, but he's also more just and righteous than I am. I'm not saying that people don't suffer in some way in Hell, but Hell is just essentially eternal separation from God. Stop leaning on your own understanding and how you think things ought to be and just trust that God's way is better. After all he made the universes, he is alot smarter than you are, so trust him and not your own understanding. He does give people a second chance, every single day they wake up, they get another chance to repent and turn to him. They get chance after chance after chance!!!

For some strange reason Apologia don’t understand that works of the law means the works of the mosaic law. Faith must include good works to be faith; Matthew 3:7,8. Matthew 18:3-5. Matthew 18:8,9. Apologia are now quoting Isaiah 43:10 to try and prove Latter Day Saint doctrine as false. But the context of Isaiah 40-46 is God telling Israel to stop worshipping idols and only to worship him. The fact that there are more gods in existence is very biblical but we only know and worship one God and one Lord. That men can become gods is also very biblical; Deuteronomy 10:17, Joshua 22:22, Psalms 82:1, Psalms 82:6, Psalms 136:2, Daniel 11:36, Matthew 5:48, John 10:34, John 17:22, Acts 17:29, Romans 8:17, 1 Corinthians 8:5,6. 2 Corinthians 3:18, Galatians 4:7, Ephesians 4:13, Philippians 2:5,6, 1 John 3:2, Revelation 3:21.

That’s saying something far different than Jesus created everything ever in existence.

Apologia show yet again how little they understand the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are saying that purely through their faith alone the righteousness of Jesus Christ covers them implying that they don’t need to do more work. But faith must involve work or it’s not faith. Not the works of the mosaic law but the good works of the gospel. Ephesians 2:10. Plus; Matthew 3:7,8. Matthew 18:3-5. Matthew 18:8,9. Matthew 19:17. Matthew 25. Mark 16:16. Luke 6:46-49. John 3:5. John 15:1-17. Romans 2:1-11. Philippians 2:12. Hebrews 5:9, James 2:14-26. 1 John 1:7. 1 John 2:3-6. 1 John 3:7. 1 John 3:22-24. 1 John 5:2,3. Revelation 3:20. Revelation 14:12,13. Revelation 22:14.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have the fulness of the everlasting gospel, Apologia absolutely do not.

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints don’t have to believe on Apologia’s interpretation of the Bible to know which version of the gospel of Jesus Christ is true because the Latter Day Saint Church has the gift of the Holy Ghost. Apologia do not have the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the more sure word of prophecy that bears witness of the truthfulness of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, The Bible, The Book of Mormon and by the power of the Holy Ghost we might know the truthfulness of all things; Luke 24:32, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:13, Acts 1:2, Acts 5:32, Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 2:10-14, 1 Corinthians 12:3, 2 Peter 1:19-21. 1 John 5:6.

    easily rebuking apologia utah.
apologia utah. does not understand basic christian doctrine. here's the big problem for you, and all so-called christian churches, that you refuse to acknowledge ... jesus founded his church on prophets and apostles. the scriptures clearly tell us that, many times. and there is only one church today that has prophets and apostles. the restored church of jesus christ. "the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints" which you refer to as mormons. not any of yours. consider yourself schooled. the church of god in the time of the prophets, was built on the foundation of the prophets, i. e. upon those doctrines and doctrinal truths deliver'd by them. the church of god under the new testament, is built not only on the foundation of the prophets, but of the apostles, Rev. 21:14. this is precisely what paul affirms in ephesians 2:20 where he says that the church is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, christ jesus himself being the cornerstone” (cf. rev. 21:14; also 1cor. 3:10-11 in context). the church of jesus christ of latter-day saints is the ONLY church today built on a foundation of apostles and prophets. apologia utah. is teaching a false gospel (just like all protestants). for that matter, catholics as well.

Joseph Smith taught his followers, ”GOD HIMSELF WAS ONCE AS WE ARE NOW, AND IS AN EXALTED MAN, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens. That is the great secret. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity, I will refute that idea, and will take away and do away the veil, so that you may see It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the *character of God.. AND THAT HE WAS ONCE A MAN LIKE US;* yea, that God himself the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth the same as Jesus Christ himself did; ... to know the only wise and true God; and *YOU HAVE GOT TO LEARN HOW TO BE GODS YOURSELVES,* and priests to God, *THE SAME AS ALL GODS HAVE DONE BEFORE YOU.”*
Smith announced this brand new teaching at a funeral for Elder King Follett who accidentally fell into a well and was killed. The funeral took place during the time of General Conference, Sunday, Nauvoo, Illinois, April 7 1844, 14 years after Smith had written the Book of Mormon.
Also at this time, Smith was campaigning to become President of the United States.

*Obviously is not referring to the God of the Bible and Christians, who was, is and will always be the Lord God Almighty, was never a man on another earth that became a Mormon polygamist exalted man god.*
God of the Bible and Christians declares, “Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.” (Isaiah 43:10)

*Here is part of the Mormon so-called restored gospel, described in the own official Mormon Church, (LDS Church) publication.* You may see for yourself what Mormons require you must do the to have eternal life, to maybe, perhaps, might, possibly become a Mormon polygamist exalted man god, or a goddess wife to your Mormon polygamist exalted man god husband.
At the end is this declaration, “THIS IS THE WAY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER BECAME GOD.”
      -----------------
"Gospel Principles," Published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1997 Edition
Unit Ten, Life after Death - Chapter 47, Exaltation, Page 30
      *”What Is Exaltation?”*
*“EXALTATION IS ETERNAL LIFE,* the kind of life God lives. He lives in great glory. He is perfect. He possesses all knowledge and all wisdom. He is the Father of spirit children. He is a creator. We can become like our Heavenly Father. This is exaltation.”

“If we prove faithful to the Lord, we will live in the highest degree of the celestial kingdom of heaven. We will become exalted, just like our Heavenly Father. Exaltation is the greatest gift that Heavenly Father can give his children (see D&C 14:7).”
      *Blessings of Exaltation*
Our Heavenly Father is perfect. However, he is not jealous of his wisdom and perfection. He glories in the fact that it is possible for his children to become like him. He has said, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man" (Moses 1:39).

Those who receive exaltation in the celestial kingdom through faith in Jesus Christ will receive special blessings. The Lord has promised, "All things are theirs" (D&C 76:59).
These are some of the blessings given to exalted people:
      1. They will live eternally in the presence of Heavenly Father and
      Jesus Christ (see D&C 76).
      *2. THEY WILL BECOME GODS.*
      3. They will have their righteous family members with them and will be able to have spirit children also. These spirit children will have the same relationship to them as we do to our Heavenly Father. They will be an eternal family.
      4. They will receive a fulness of joy.
      5. They will have everything that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have--all power, glory, dominion, and knowledge. President Joseph Fielding Smith [10th Mormon prophet] wrote: "The Father has promised through the Son that all that he has shall be given to those who are obedient to his commandments. They shall increase in knowledge, wisdom, and power, going from grace to grace, until the fulness of the perfect day shall burst upon them" (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 2 of 3, page 36).
      *”Requirements for Exaltation”*
“The time to fulfill the requirements for exaltation is now (see Alma 34:32-34). President Joseph Fielding Smith said, "In order to obtain the exaltation we must accept the gospel and all its covenants; and take upon us the obligations which the Lord has offered; and walk in the light and understanding of the truth; and 'live by every word that proceedeth forth from the mouth of God' " (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 2 of 3 ,page 43).”

To be exalted, we first must place our faith in Jesus Christ and then endure in that faith to the end of our lives. Our faith in him must be such that we repent of our sins and obey his commandments.

He commands us all to receive certain ordinances:
      1. We must be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.
      2. We must receive the laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
      3. We must receive the temple endowment.
      4. We must be married for time and eternity.
In addition to receiving the required ordinances, the Lord commands all of us to--
      1. Love and worship God.
      2. Love our neighbor.
      3. Repent of our wrongdoings.
[See Ch.19 about the seven steps required for repentance.]
      4. Live the law of chastity.
      5. Pay honest tithes and offerings.
[Meaning 10% of your gross, i.e., total income. “Gospel Principles," Ch. 32]
      6. Be honest in our dealings with others and with the Lord.
      7. Speak the truth always.
*8. Obey the Word of Wisdom.*
[Meaning no tea or coffee, in that they contain caffeine, and no alcohol or tobacco]
      9. Search out our kindred dead and perform the saving ordinances of the gospel for them. [Meaning they go into one of their temples, put their temple garments, and perform baptism for the dead]
      10. Keep the Sabbath day holy.
      11. Attend our Church meetings as regularly as possible so we can renew our baptismal covenants by partaking of the sacrament.
      12. Love our family members and strengthen them in the ways of the Lord.
      13. Have family and individual prayers every day.
      14. Honor our parents.
      15. Teach the gospel to others by word and example.
      16. Study the scriptures.
      17. Listen to and obey the inspired words of the prophets of the Lord.
      18. Develop true charity in our lives. [1995 Edition, deleted in the 1997 Edition]
Finally, each of us needs to receive the Holy Ghost and learn to follow his direction in our individual lives.
(1995 Edition included this sentence, deleted in the 1997 Edition)
*In other words, each person must endure in faithfulness, keeping all the Lord’s commandments until the end of his life on earth.*
*”Requirement Number 3 above, the requirement of Repentance.”*
In addition to the above requirements for so-called “Exaltation,” there is a chapter on the seven steps of repentance, what each step mean, and what is required for each step. Included are quotes from Mormon so-called prophets and Mormon so-called apostles, to backup their claim that this is all necessary.
“Gospel Principles,” 1997 Ed., Chapter 19, entitled “Repentance.”
*“THIS IS THE WAY OUR HEAVENLY FATHER BECAME GOD.* Joseph Smith taught: ‘It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the character of God. . . . He was once a man like us; . . . God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did.’ (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 345-46)”

*Mormon, have you done all you can do to be exalted. Do you have your certificate, your passport from Joseph Smith?*
”No man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF JOSEPH SMITH...every man and woman must have the CERTIFICATE OF JOSEPH SMITH, junior, as A PASSPORT entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are.”
This nonsense was part of Brigham Young’s, 2nd Mormon false prophet, Sunday Service message to the self proclaimed latter-day saints, in the Tabernacle, Salt Lake City, October 9, 1859. (Journal of Discourses Vol. 7 of 26, p 289)
Brigham Young is highly revered and studied by Mormons; so highly respected is Young that Mormons named a university in Utah after him, BYU.

i'm well aware what smith taught.
and what he taught is 100% correct.
      and jesus taught ...
that jesus founded his church on prophets and apostles.
and the scriptures clearly tell us that, many times.
and there is only one church today that has prophets and apostles.

for that matter, catholics as well.
and the reason the church is found on prophets and apostles is because
the word of god is not confined to a book.
a book that has been re-written many times, and mistranslated many times.
so god, the father and jesus, the son appeared to smith, and commanded him to restore the true gospel.
and one of those truths is that we will become gods.
and another truth is "as god is, man may become, and as man is, god once was."
a simple concept that the "christian" churches have abandoned.
