That right there is what this is all about! Vintage bikes, family and fun. My first race bike was a Can Am. Great video. Keep enjoying this special sport.
Absolutely loved watching this! So nice to see the beautiful restoration job you have done with Can-Am and making it a family thing. Can-Am is close to my heart, in 1979 at age 15 I purchased an MX-5 250cc and raced Motocross in the Hamptons. Loved that big orange bike ! 😎. Happy to see Can-Am is getting back in the motorcycle market again !
AWESOME!!! Great to see the entire family into this! 57 year old former Can-am MX-6 rider from 1980. Still riding vintage with my trio of 1979 motocrossers. It’s all about vintage!!
You got the right idea. Cozy shop full of mid seventies Can-Ams. I remember Jimmy Ellis. Saw him at the Oakland Coliseum in '79' I believe it was. A very fast and flamboyant rider.
I have a 125 and 250 can-am motocross racing bikes made in 1980 and dearly love them both still to this day.bought them both brand new in 1980 and still have them and still keep them in perfect shape by taking care of them and riding them ever now and then when it nice weather, love can-am so keep on riding and enjoy yourself's with what you love to do in these modern days of life today!!!!!
Great video! I raced the same Can-Am MX2 250 back in the day and loved it! I bought it after meeting and talking with Two time 500 World Champion Jeff Smith, he had just become the Can-Am rep. The local shop gave me the bike for cost, plus free parts, tires, lube, oil, etc.
The Can-Am when it came out was an amazing package. The bikes dominated the circuit during the late 70's and in 1975 my father bought a TNT 175, I remember dad talking about how he could wheelie it thru 3rd gear. Well 45 years later I am happy to day I still have it. But was riding it several years ago and had the spark plug boot came off and it shorted to the frame and lost the CDI ignition. Like you said it is hard finding parts and was wondering if you might help.
Very cool the whole family is in it, I raced as a kid and raced vintage as an old guy had 2 boys and a girl but couldn’t get them into it, they wanted to play football and lacrosse and basketball so I have vintage mx bikes that I just ride now, you are very lucky
Are you guys taking to Ken Kaplan he's awesome I'm a fan of hodaka's I raced a hodaka steen and ate YZ 80 and XR 75 up for lunch my dad rode husky and bultaco I watched the Can-Ams wining at the super bowl of motocross in the 70s as a kid
I have a 1976 TNT OR I am restoring. I have a problem with crankcase oil coming into the clutch adjustment area. Any suggestions or help to stop this from happening? Thanks for posting this video, its just killer to see a few more Can Am bikes still rolling around!
great video i'm 68 been riding vintage since '73!!!

You can still get a lot of parts from rtrmoto.com . He may have a CDI or know where you can get one.
George Ellis was a great guy, used to see him when my brother and I followed the AMA Nationals. He used to drive the factory Kawasaki rig.
