    Even though Sky Rider isn´t at Canada´s Wonderland anymore it is still around. It currently operates as "Freestyle" in Italy´s Cavallino Matto Park and it is currently the only Togo Stand Up coaster operating outside of Japan.

      It is honestly crazy to me still how I’m in the GTA, literally the region outside of Toronto (obviously, you knew that much already), and we have tons of rural areas and fields even in our towns/cities. I wonder how long this’ll keep up.

    hunder Run The coaster opened on May 23, 1981, and operated until 1985 as Blauer Enzian, but in 1986 it was relocated, extended, and incorporated into the mountain.

    As a Canadian and a person that lives very close to Canada's wonderland I was suprised on how this video was explained, it gave the over all concept of the amusement park and the history of the park it was also very well explained good job coster studios for giving a brief description of this park.

    Fun fact:
    Top Gun/Flight Deck was supposed to be a B&M invert but since CP recently got raptor they had a contract with b&m that wouldn’t let CW get a B&M. So if raptor didn’t exist CW would have a B&M invert

    • @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan
      @TonyKimtheamusementparkfan 6 лет назад +12

      Apparently Leviathan was built to meet the promise that Walter Bolliger wanted to give to Canada's Wonderland, since he owed the park another B&M coaster after the inverted coaster didn't get built.

    Mountain coaster was not ready the first year. Or at least not incorporated into the mountain. And Ghoster Coaster was "Scooby's Ghoster Coaster" in the Hanna Barbera themed childrens section (Flintstones, scoopy doo and many other now forgotten characters). Inside the mountain (think empty warehouse) there were trampolines for the pirate show to rehearse. Over the summer, the pirates would come to the character house and steal our girls (each character had a female handler) and we, in turn, would date the girls from the general staff. Sometimes, when we objected to the pilfering of "our" girls, there were "moments" - including a little property damage during at least one conflict.
    Original themed areas (worlds fair, frontier (?), medieval and HB kids with walkabout HB characters) were rebranded and diluted through the years, but themes were initially consistent. A staff only ring road circled the property (it was amazing how fast you could get from A to B outside the maze...) and dressing rooms were kept at or near their attractions, so no cowboys walking through World's Fair. But one day in that first summer or '81 there were two Fred Flintstones for a few minutes (oopsie - sorry Kevin.- don't get me fired.) My favorite memory was hanging out with the dolphins after hours, smoking something that would surely get me fired. Ah, youth....
