You can see an it factor and "but" ya know comes to mind also. I can't put into words what doubt I have about Bijan but it may lean more into injurys than it is inability to start of stay on the field. Its a side step dance more than it is a jump cut. Its agilty more than it is acceleration . Its size more than physicalism .atleastism instead of carrying the workload.
Bijan has scatback lateral agility in a powerback frame, with soft hands and good route running to boot. Dude's going top 15, regardless of positional value.
I think that's why the Steelers liked Najee so much, the lateral agility while being huge. the problem is despite it being his only weakness, Bijan has that extra gear Naj doesn't. I don't see Najee breaking off a 60 yard touchdown without breaking a bunch of tackles. Bijan accelerates fast enough to get by safeties.
His vision looks pretty solid to me. Although I'll grant that he won't be able to jump around quite as much in the NFL. He's not Trent Richardson or anything though, he identifies lanes well.
Huge falcons fan, my first reaction was “okay cool I guess?? But our defense….” But now that I’m looking more and more into Bijan I’m getting super excited for next season

Bijan Robinson will follow in the footsteps of great Texas Longhorn running backs that made the NFL such as Earl Campbell, Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson, and Jamaal Charles.
The QB reaction at 1:24 says it's all. I'm a niners fan but dear God please don't let this man get hurt, hate seeing talent go down the drain to injuries.
I know I'm a bit late to this one, but I really enjoyed this interview with Chris Johnson. Remarkable that you were able to get his insight on Bijan Robinson, so thanks for getting it put together. I'm excited to see what he'll do in Atlanta in Arthur Smith's offense. That guy is one of the most run-creative minds in the league.
Thanks TLD!! Yeah it was really cool, and so fun to have him on. Falcons are building something special, I hope Ridder is the guy to put it all together or it will be all for not
Nope just learning the scheme is complex in itself. Football in general is way more complex than most people think. From technique to scheme and strategy, you have to have some kind of brains nowadays to play.
IMO the analytical part when it comes to an RB with great vision isn't the problem. Its when plan B and C also get mucked and they gotta make lemonade out of what became of plan A. And Bijan has loads of that on film where given his lackluster O-line run blocking, he has to turn it a 1v1 match up and he'll win out because he'll make some gnarly shifty move on a crazy angle and get another 5 yards for what would've been a short yard stop.
I'm convinced now ATL should go Bijan at 8. That would make a top TE, top WR, and top RB 3 years straight. Talented young offense with an improved defense from free agency, let's goooo!!!!
