I'm not really a wrestling fan anymore but I was back then. The quality of this show and the charisma of the host make this show a highlight of my week. Thanks boss! You're killin it!
@@zlinedavidsame. I wasn't the biggest bray fan ever, but I appreciated what he did. I grew up watching his dad and extended family, very sad and too soon.
For me, Austin being "crucified" is the most iconic Raw moment of the Monday Night War. That was one of those moments we could not stop talking about at school all week. Just amazing stuff.
I’ve been waiting for this episode for that very reason. It’s certainly one of the most memorable moments in wrestling for me growing up as a fan as I remember being in elementary school and literally CRYING because I believed Taker had killed Stone Cold. I can recall it so vividly. The crucifixion, Undertaker eye roll, and fade to black. My younger self was mortified.
Yeah and as opposed to WCW, you really didn't care when you got a DQ finish with crazy shet like that but, they just kept doing the NWO run in or security breaking it up every single freakin' time.
What a rough time to be a wrestling fan. Older fans lost Terry Funk yesterday and today younger fans lost Bray Wyatt. Being in the middle to have seen both in action is a blessing and may they both rest in peace.
I’m one of those younger fans and man I watched the Wyatt family debut and it felt out of the ordinary. Bray will be missed but I’m also a big fan of going back to Terry funks old work. What a workhorse. Both will be missed
Been waiting for this. This is the first of 2 Nitros shows I was backstage at. I was a stagehand. I got Goldbergs autograph (lost it) and shook hands with Kevin Nash (I was starstruck he was my favorite)while walking down a corridor. Saw the Giant sitting on the back of a golf cart and the front tires were in the air. Scott Steiner spent the whole time working his arms out on rubber bands. And Booker T had a red corvette that he took off in up the ramp at the end of the show.

@@lexkanyima2195I think The Undertaker was already injured at this point he just continued for another year by wrestling less and less and taking zero bumps because Vince needed him.
R.I.P to the legendary Terry Funk. This episode is special because of Austin on the Undertaker symbol being a sacrifice. Austin played the concern look on his face once he was up in the air real well
The Stone Cold Crucifixion is easily one of the most memorable moments of the Monday Night Wars. I'm also excited to relive the Darkside character and the Ministry, it was the storyline that made me switch the channel. I can't wait for the Undertaker to introduce the Ministry members.
RTW has made me look at Bret’s WCW run differently. He really was doing as much as he possibly could, and doing it well. They just had no clue what to do with him.
Hey bios, I’m still here! This episode hit different and I think it’s because of Terry Funk. I am blessed to say my dad was good friend of Terry Funk and when I lived in Amarillo I often got to go check out the old double cross and I’m looking forward to seeing if you have time for a tribute looking at the Funkers career in the WWF. Eric Bischoff talked about the collapse of wcw beginning in mid 98 when Ted was ousted from control of his company and a boardroom full of suits told Eric that they wanted him to make his product a more kid friendly show, the very thing he’d forced McMahon to stop doing in order to compete with nitro. Having seen this clip a few months back I’ve been keeping an eye out for the more ‘kid friendly’ content, but the two main events show the real truth, both booked good matches that the viewership would want to see, but only one of them actually did the match and the other just hit repeat again with the same old run in. At times I can’t decided whether nitro’s booking is just mixed, schizophrenic or depressingly lazy.
I was at this show! It was a killer night we watched the Sunday night heat taping and then changed the apron skirts and it was time for raw! The whole outlaws thing played out between those 2 shows!
I remember being at this Nitro, but I will admit I have absolutely no memory of anything that happened because I was completely checked out of the company by this point. I was more entertained annoying my friend next to me than the show itself.
20/20 hindsight I should’ve appreciated Disco’s flirtation with the Wolfpack more, because it ended up being the most interesting thing to ever happen with that faction.
