1:30 This point is great! I keep a travel sewing kit in with my kit because of my mom. She taught me to mend my socks, replace buttons, even shortening the hem on my pants. It’s in my EDC and it works for me because I made it for me!
Well said. And I was telling someone thus in the comments, I bond with my mother in law over EDC for years now. She got me a foldable magnifying last week and a card flashlight twenty years ago and so much else in between. I just got her a Rovyvon flashlight and she was so happy with it.
Great Video and great points. I'm with you, I see it on videos when I post a load out. All you need is wallet, keys, knife, firearms or something along those lines. I feel people can carry what they want. I love to see what people post all the time sometimes it give me ideas to try different things or to do things differently. Why not enjoy what you carry! I carry wipes too (tide wipes, dude wipes, eye glass cleaning wipes, and hand sanitizing wipes). all at the same time. I've got 2 kids and there have been times where I used each of the wipes in a 4 hours outing with the family. Keep up the good work and I remembered to hit that subscribe button this time lol!
Thanks a lot and really appreciate that you subscribed and took the time to comment. You're right, enjoying what you carry is underrated. And the most important of all the points I'm trying to make is that it's fine to enjoy and love the stuff you carry everyday. Good luck with the kids 🙂
Women have been carrying purses with all kinds of "just in case" items for a very long time. I pointed out to one group that it makes them preppers, and they looked at me like I said something very profound. All a matter of perspective.
That's exactly what I meant. In my family the only person with whom I share EDC items and gets super excited is my mother in law. She just gifted me a foldable magnifying glass from the 70s after I gave her a Rovyvon flashlight. Women are the OG EDCers man I'm telling you.
I think everyone has a different take on what constitutes "edc", and I think people should carry whatever they want regardless of the reason. The only thing that annoys me is when people are trying to push their choices on me, ive straight up had people shame me for walking out of the house without 3 ways to start a fire and pants that turn into a sleeping bag. And im like... dude, im going grocery shopping? If YOU want to carry that, im perfectly fine with that but that does not make me "unprepared" or stupid. If anything I was more optimized for the task than he was haha 😂
It's so funny. From both sides people are either telling you to carry less or carry more. As if you're using their own pockets. My carry has varied widely through stages in life. For a few years we had a dog hotel in the countryside and I was the guy with the cargo pants because I needed to be. Now I'm in minimal pocket mode and I felt prepared in both instances. I fully agree with you.

EDC is also highly occupation specific. I do less field work right now so my carry is shrinking. Thanks for your insights.
100% correct. I should've mentioned that but didn't think about it. That's where you guys come in 🙂
Keep up the good work, excellent channel
Thanks a lot! Happy to hear
Everyone has their own opinion, you do what's good for you. Keep up the good work👍
Thanks a lot! You're right, that's part of what I'm trying to say :-)

You make some good points. I am a recent subscriber and missed your 50 things video. I am going to watch it now. Hello from Atlantic Canada.
Thanks for subscribing and hello Canada :-) Let me know what you think of the video.

EDC a few Cologne Atomizers as well… NPC’s don’t EDC… the prepared ones always EDC!
Thanks for sharing. Not sure I understand everything you said but happy to see someone else EDCing cologne :-)
Be careful of how and who you pull over on the highway. You don’t own a pew pew
Thanks for the sound advice. This was a family in the car and also I live in a place where no one owns a pew pew.
