What a fantastic guy Steve is. Great commentator, athlete and a fabulous ambassador for track and field.
Steve is one of those athletes I will always admire the most. Not simply because of the way he ran, and of course his results, but also because he is clearly honest, down to earth, and thoroughly likeable. If I could choose five new people to meet he would be way up there. His technical knowledge needs updating though. At the 2023 World Champs. he declared that when it's hot there is little which one can do. No so - as well as ice vests (useful for more than marathon runners) there are also tailored food and drink regimes which can massively assist.
Crammy will be turning 60 next year, so to be talking about getting under 3 hours for the marathon is unbelievable and says a lot about how he has maintained his fitness, and it shows. He barely looks 40.
Steve Cram was my role model when I was a kid running 800 and 1500m...now all these years later he's my role model for running a marathon in under 3 hours!
That's brilliant -well done
Been loving Steve Cram's commentary on the Paris 2024 Olympics. The right level of calm, energy and emotion. Just love him!
Agreed. He learned from the best to ever do it, David Coleman.
Still looking in great shape!
This man is a legend.
So humble, but such a great in the world athletics.
Great commentator and my favourite runner as a kid along with Steve Ovett. Never warmed to Coe so much though they were all brilliant athletes.
Steve Cram....my hero growing up😁
Totally agree.
@@samhardy6319 he’s a legend and now a great commentator
Couldn't agree more.
So interesting, and such a great commentator !
The best interview I have seen in a long time. Words of truth, words of real life, words of wisdom. Fantastic. Thanks to Steve Cram 🙏👍
I have always liked his easy going down to earth attitude from way back in the day.
Brilliant runner, brilliant commentator.
I am huge fan of Steve cram so much
The best commentator ever!...in my opinion
I'd have him just behind the late, great Ron Pickering as a commentator.
Loved athletics. The tension build up before a race. Awesome.
Bloody hell Steve is looking fantastic for his age. Nice tan, slim, vibrant looking and sober as a judge. He's had a fantastic life obviously, just a shame coe snatched his 1984 1500m chance of getting a gold under his belt. But Olympic silver is still fucking awesome hence why he's still a British treasure to this day. What a legend.
Best commentator steve cram👌
Childhood legend of mine, top Man!
Simply.. brilliant.. he I believe got almost 💯 out of himself.. perhaps he could of ran a 345 mile.. but his 800m.. was way to fast for himself.. SIMPLY A BRILLIANT ATHLETE..AND AN ALL ROUND GREAT GUY.. inspirational 😊
The Rolls Royce of runners. And from just down the road. I watched his mile WR and 1500. O the memories. Xx
Intelligent comments from Steve Cram, racing legend.
The Jarrow Arrow. Legend !
My Hero
Steve Cram and Steve Scott were two runners who moved extremely fast, but didn't look fast.
3:46 mile is ✈️
