No not today, I, been visiting my mom today, she is 92 years in August this summer. Still a clear head, but her legs are failing, and stay in a nursing home, close where I live.
This bike show is evolving to the legendary “Top Gear” episodes:) the story the visual quality getting more and more better in each episode. I like this Top Gear taste of these videos very much 😌🙌🏻👌🏻 If Jeremy Clarkson watching this he will like this show very much like I do 👌🏻
Good to see you encountering what is some of the very best we have to offer here in Devon, there are loads of excellent tech miles to enjoy. Widowmaker, Lustleigh the list is endless and you know you've had a good day riding, even better in an EMTB now ! Oh! And river crossings are even better in the summer !!!
At 0:12 that is the best e-bike throw I ever saw. Well, I have not seen much but that was a good distance. And over all it was a great ride. Me and my buddies do similar things sometimes. Running out of power in the middle of nowhere is terrible.
Tough old slog across the Moors isn't it guys. It can really sap the battery of juice... Not quite as rewarding as the big hills of the peak District but still good and has its own charm
Great adventure for you guys; great fun for us. Would love to have you guys come stateside and do a multi-day trek on something like the Kokopelli Trail between Loma, Colorado and Moab, Utah.
Being from Plymouth, this is somewhere i often take my Haibike. So many great routes to ride up on the moors. Now get back to Wales! We are in lockdown still you know! TutTut...
XduroRx29r here. 6000 miles in 4 years with a net loss of 70lbs of extra weight. Meaningly 2000 miles to go to be back into the shape of my ideal weight again... Thanks haiBike for costing nothing more than lots of tires, several chains & half dozen handgrips with one battery upgrade ($1000+), bosch be strong, no end for either of us, me 58 years young with cardio that stomps teenagers for fun!
Dartmoor is awesome to ride even better in the summer so many places to explore I’m lucky to live just on the outskirts, 10 min ride I can be up to yelverton great playground for the emtb
What about a feature on buying second-hand? My experience having just acquired a Cube hybrid 160 action team 2020 is that you can save over £1000 on a 1 yr old bike still with a warranty
Plenty of very similar challenges in South Wales.... P.S..... I celebrated my 50th Birthday at the Baskerville Hall, near Hay-on-Wye.... very nice it was too...
That's my experience of the boonies in the UK. Lunch is served between 12.59am and 1.00pm then you have to make do with crisps! Nice looking ride, I really like the natural stuff. Jonas almost getting to plumb depth on that river crossing :O
HaHa! What fun, really enjoyed having a giggle at a good hard day out. What about more of these days out this year? We have some cracking routes up here based round Edale. If you’re up for 30 miles or so, something that takes in the Derwent tracks (plus Cutgate?), Jacobs ladder, Hollins Cross and Hope Cross, The Beast and the fantastic linked bridleways in between is hard to beat and looks good on GoPro.
Thats the kind of riding I like but 26miles in that terrain I havnt done. More like 10miles but I'm going for a 26mile trail when summer comes. We have bears and mountain lions so I carry some kind of protection. Do you have any wild animals in the UK to worry about when you are riding? Lol. Great ride you both are great riders way to go!
Six and a half hours to do 27 miles,a lot of fording rivers, riding rough terrain on eco and and mucking about with cameras perhaps, fun some of these things are (not the eco bit) they hardly represent a full days ride on one battery, emtb's are great but like all things they have limitations. Not sure I would throw one in a river either.
Now then Mr Jones, that was hardly a fair contest On the basis that Princetown was the high point, most of your uphill riding was on road whereas Chris's was off road and vice versa, most of your downhill was off road. No wonder Chris's battery ran out, while you coasted along in Eco!
If you would have had a throttle on those bikes getting across the water and pushing uphill would have been way easier. But nice job. I was riding in 15° f and brrr, the battery and my hands didn't care for it.
@@MrRijonz go fuck my.....plum? Their job is to review bikes, it can't be done from home, therefore they can travel. Its very clear, try reading sometime
@@thecremeegg Yes, you can travel for work under COVID Lockdown Restrictions and the video is entertaining, but... Really??? Personally, I think it's taking the piss when they could've easily continued to review stuff locally and would contest that the trip was 'essential' for their work. It is entertainment at the end of the day and not 'Key Work' to keep the country running.
I have Merida 120 400 full suspension 29 at 1.700€ but I prepared my self with bike parts I want!it's orange color😇I love it!I am promotor brand Merida 😇
I've gone to school for industrial design to get better at designing things such as ebikes and the like, too bad none of the jobs pay enough to buy a decent e-bike, don't bother with the profession if you need a job for money, all the good position are filled with people who don't, or have some connection, so they'll work for near free, or even pay as a hobby business, it doesn't matter how good you are or what you know when connections are at play too, it's who you know or how much of your pro athlete, inheritance, or settlement money your willing to spend just so you can say you designed something or own a company.
NOPE NOT WATCHING THAT SHITE! simply because in the oppening credits you see steve jones sling his ebike that you can bet he never had to pay for straight over a stream cos he,s too lazy to carry . THAT bike is the kind of thing a large percentage of the population can only dream of owning and to see someone in a priviliged position like you steve treat it with sooo little respect makes my blood boil ! and it shines very poorly on the brand too poor show old boy!!! Are you riding today? Let us know 👇
Yeah. But on the road. Ebiked yesterday. First time in eco on my 2018 Kenevo. I got used to it. Great to see you on my local area.
I’m riding Dartmoor

Yep just rode to the forest spent some time bombing about rode back 50miles total/second batteries are very handy at times
Out in Cwmcarn and Machen. Love it 👍🏻

Now this is mountain biking at its best awwwww yes indeed 💯🇺🇸
A very nice trip you both did, incredible I must say because of the terrain you had to cross, wet, stoney and so on. Just impressed me a lot.
This is my kind of biking. Great video guys.
This was so fun to watch!!! The landscape and tough terrain!!! Great job 👏!!!

Awesome production quality as usual!
Thanks Ben! 🙌
Beautiful scenery and well produced. Great work everyone involved.
The first part at the café was just like an episode of Top Gear when Clarkson, Hammond and May were about to start a silly journey 😅
Any chance of a komoot route of your ride chaps? Love the video, keep up the good work.
What an adventure, I say more e140 adventures, bigger hills and more bogs 😉

dartmoor is really an interesting place...used to explore this area way back in the early 90s
Great video, just the sort of thing I would do, makes you feel alive and also question your sanity...love it
My feet got cold watching this but at the same time, made me want to ride it. Great views of" the werewolf of London"
These Adventure rides are awesome!!!

Brilliant guy's realy enjoyed this challenge. Stay safe Steve, Chris. I love the moors,, lots in Northumberland ♥️🇬🇧😊👍
Isn't Steve's puncture karma for the stone circle?
YES LISA! 🤣
I used to go to the Baskerville Hall on a night out. Pre drinks in Hay then on to Clyro. I even stayed there one night.
Thats one of the best adventures you guys have done.....top work team
Fun to watch! Chris needs to take on some of those challenges that Steve did (the knee deep water crossing)!!
One of the best videos ever!!!!!
This area is fantastic. Get up there reguarly on my Hardtail 😁 Great video 👍
My first mountain bike was a merida hard tail and the one that I have now is a Marin bobcat trail 3 2020

I have done this ride from saltash and got home with 3 bars! That is with a very similar root too. Love a 700wh battery.
Love these videos
Thanks Chris!
This was brilliant. I’m fortunate enough to live very close by and try to cycle on Dartmoor at least once a week. Great video 👍

Can’t believe the motors kept running in all that water .....and no mention of it ...nice film lads
No issues with all the water and ebikes 🤔

What do you think of the Merida e140? I was thinking of getting one, but I can only afford the cheap 400 model.
Awesome video, thanks for using my music!
I like the gear your wearing there Steve and the outfit judt blends bike and all I need to invest.

That’s my local weekly riding
Very nice!
Do you have a map of the route?
Tossing my loaded e bike over barb wire fences hasn't worked out well very flat tire often...
Cool video guys! Deserve a beer or 5 after that one 🍻👍
Do you ever use mudguards?
Great watch gents
Dartmoor is my home 😍

Lol i hoped for the Dartmoor Ebike:D
More chance of being served a cappuccino by a Dartmoor pony than that bakery being open.
Chris what were you doing? Shows what the bikes are capable of bit also what being able to read a map.
Should we flip it next time so Chris takes Steve to the bike park to send some massive jumps? 🤣
@@embn now that would be great to see. Not sure you'll get Steve to do it. Make sure he's got his wellies on
Scotland?
Epic!
Man you guys do jump in two feet first I think I operate better on dry land but you guys get to ride some pretty amazing bikes 😊👍🏾

Travelling down from Wales , when those who live in Newton Abbot are discouraged from a ten mile drive there, go figure.

right and then there's all that editing to do although at least you guys have a team to do the editing
One of the video creators that was on the trip edited this video. They've been smashing it this year! 🙌
12 dislikes must be from viewers who are "mad about it" cuz they don't e bike or e ticket fun.

That’s what I call proper riding non of your trail park crap.
🤣
loved this video 🫡
Calling a £5k emtb a budget bike is just an insult to the many who can’t afford that amount. Choose your words more carefully next time
Ebikes generally start at £4.5k and go up to £10k plus for higher spec so yes in the world of ebikes £5k is a budget version.
So we are allowed to travel now are we. I am not using my emtb as we are not supposed to travel too far. Love the show but this is bullshit
