I just discovered this band tonight and it's totally blowing my mind. I am playing video after video. This could very well be the SUPER GROUP discovery of 2017. THEY ROCK.
I am 51 and after listening to the "Highway Tune" and being blown away with that, I tracked down everything this band has done and is doing. I have not listened to music like this or been truly emotionally blown away with a band since my teens. Please guys just keep doing what you're doing, your way! Oh my god, there is hope for rock and roll!

I think he has more growl than Robert Plant ......he is his own singer ...what amazes me is how strong his voice is ...I hope he is doing the right things technically which it seems he is ..or he will blow it out !!!
Greg Henderson lol. The band emulates zeppelin's music,style and mannerisms. The singer's voice cracks alot and goes out of whack alot and sounds off and isn't consistent because he tries so hard to sound like plant. Whereas rovert plant always sounds like robert plant.
I was on the lawn that night with a huge group of friends and I remember it raining on us when these guys started their set and seeing a rainbow when they were finishing. That whole night was epic, but these guys were magic.

First saw them on Rock Gods and Masterpieces on tv by chance singing Highway Tune, and thought yeah another wannabe cool boy band as they started; then the lead singer let out that scream and WOW!!! I got my two daughters age 42 and 30 to watch it and BANG...they were hooked!!! No lie, we downloaded the album immediately a few weeks ago and have all said that's ALL we're playing to and from work lol...and I tell you what, all you young kiddies out there, you can still appreciate the charisma and appeal of this young band...damn...just DAMN...lol...
Personally,I like the Robert Plant mannerisms. If I could sing or even carry a tune. I'd do the same fucking thing. Keep rocking guys. I am one of the world's biggest Zeppelin fans...

I am 56 and I woke up for work this morning with the highway song buzzing in my head from the night before, funny how music can do that, I think what is the most notable trait of these young guys and their music is the ability to rekindle a long dwindled adrenal rush music used to give me. Consider I lived through the British invasion and listened to the birth and development of the biggest bands ever to blaze trails into all our lives. I still remember how it felt when I got my first Zeppelin, Stones , Floyd LP and so so many other monster talents, the only reason I can remember , and I am being completely sincere in saying this , is that after listening to this entire track , for the first time in decades I felt it again and I want to drive my car fast , I want to drink twelve beers at a house party , I want to kiss a girl , I want to smoke a dube of Colombian Gold , I want to get the munchies and eat a whole bag of Puffs Cookies , I want to have all my friends over and crank this cool new album by this new monster band Greta Van Fleet in its unstoppable infancy and we will all play air guitar and get buzzed laugh and not give a fuck about anything because the music is doing the talking and pulled us all out of our heads to let us live in the moment, that’s some serious spiritual currency . Thanks for posting Bob! Their management needs to get these guys in front of big audiences all the time NOW! The response is always incredible and the crowds are always blown away at what their hearing and seeing! They have to many back to back shows lined up in small venues for the next three months and their going to get burnt out and unhealthy! They need to be treated like a major act NOW! Less shows big venues fans will be willing to pay more money to see GVF in a bigger setting NOW! Thanks again Bob...
They will be fine .The bigger venues will come . They are young and climbing faster than originally thought . in the 80's we did one nighters and some gigs 5 nights in a row up and down the east coast and did all the driving in shifts for years! WE had a blast so like I said they should be fine . I do agree they are ready for bigger venues and a proper road crew . They did not have a crew that I saw in KY. They surely need and deserve it! PS. nice video! .
They are selling out in small venues everywhere. I agree, they will be playing in larger venues next time around but not until I see them in my local small venue on 10-23! Even though they can hold their own in a larger venue, what if they open for a major act? To help support their first full album release. They haven't even released a full length album yet. What would be a good major act they can open for? I didn't know who Rival Sons where until they opened for Black Sabbath now I'm a big fan.
So true. When they open for another act in a smaller venue, half the crowd leaves after their set. Also, to many free press junkets and interviews. Over exposure isn't good. They are the best band right now, let them play the coliseums.
Being over 1,000 years old and looking like a 12 year old and growing up on Rock music I love this band given the fact that I am eternally a 12 year old, oh yeah did I mention I'm 12 and I love this kind of music
I'll be 52 in just a few days, and am someone who grew up loving 70's hard/heavy blues rock just like this, and I can honestly say this is the best damn band I've heard in ages! I hear everything from Led Zeppelin, to Deep Purple, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, Ted Nugent, AC/DC, Foghat, and other awesome 70's bands influencing their style of playing/singing. Those that only hear similarities to Led Zeppelin are either people who don't really care for Zeppelin, and are only focusing on one aspect that is similar to something they heard in a band they don't like (and missing out on so many other great qualities), or are people who don't know shit about early 1970's hard/heavy blues rock music and need to sit down and shut the fuck up and listen and learn something. This doesn't really propel the course of rock n' roll into any innovative or fresh territory, but it is definitely nostalgic. I feel like these guys are still finding their sound. As they continue to tour I think they will discover the definitive sound they are looking for!

People don't dig deep enough into GVF they listen to their double EP and then criticize the shit out of them, if you take the time to look, you'll see that they are a pretty capable band, some of their other songs ("standing on" notably) have plenty of good lyrics, and the more i listen and watch, the more i realize that their stage presence could be equated to led zeppelin, but their sound stems from their influences. but its whatever KEEP ROCKING GUYS and for any fellow fans who didn't know, their new album is scheduled to drop in july 2018
