One of the most spiritual concerts I’ve been to personally just because his voice sends me to a completely different place and their riffs and music overall is insane
I listen to GVF when I don't want to think about how upset I am (still) that my husband died last year. Josh's incredibly powerful and beautiful voice says what I cannot verbalize--he speaks for me! and def puts my mind in another place. That family of brothers is just incredible. They changed my way of thinking and helped me through the very difficult grieving process.
Definitely feels like i imagine going to Rock Shows during the wild early 70s must have felt like, when Arena Rock first got really epic. Saw them yesterday and what an experience it was.
@@wingracer1614 Seriously, they are all stars. Even Danny is becoming a really good rock drummer, and he started off on guitar. This band is just loaded with talent.
Age of Alternative The story is that during band practice one day he let out a scream (similar to highway tune or Safari song) while competing with sound of the instruments and it was something he’d never done before so from that point he practiced doing stuff like that and it just eventually became his sound
I was waiting for this! I love Joshua and his voice, which is incredible. He inspired me to return to singing and I went on singing lessons. Wonderfully, you are recording something like this, because thanks to it I can know his way of singing, which helps in perfecting my vocal. Thank you!!!❤️🌹

Oh yeah. They have definitely picked up the classic rock torch! They get tons of comparisons to Zeppelin, which is fair, but they clearly have a lot more diverse roots than just that.
Oh my gosh, if you haven't checked out their new album, please do! Josh has evolved in such a lovely way, I'd really like to see what you think of "Heat Above".
I saw Greta Van Fleet live last night and it was almost like a religious experience. It was the most amazing show I've ever seen. I'm 100% straight, but fell in love with the singer lol. His voice is so damn amazing.
"The voice and the guitar are dancing" wondering if them being twins is the majic. Yet the guitarist and bassist brothers look identical but the bassist is younger and quite a bit taller. Please do more GVF!
I’ve never cried so much at a concert. I was in the nosebleeds and it was still ethereal. Can’t wait to see them again when they circle back around to my area.
Seen them live and they're absolutely fantastic! Sort of a folky vibe to their Zeppelin-y rock style and it's the BEST experience. I've rarely felt such an amazing vibe just throughout the whole venue. Highly recommend seeing them if you have the chance! Not to mention their playing is friggin awesome and their drummer is an animal!
Seen them last weekend in Los Angeles and they sounded great. His voice has improved in the last two years. I can’t believe they are all in their early 20’s.
I also saw them in Los Angeles last weekend (both nights) I've been a GVF fan since January and finally got the chance to see them live. I honestly was not expecting Josh to sound as good live as he endes up being! Like seriously I'm even more in love 💜
@@y_0886I noticed right away that he can keep a note longer then some of the live videos I have seen on RUclips from a couple years ago. He also a little older so I'm sure his voice is changing a bit. There were a few times I had to ask myself how the hell can he keep that up. The whole band rocked it.
The craziest thing about him is how easy he makes it looks. He gets so many comparisons to Plant, which is fair, but watching him sing reminds me of Jeff Buckley, controlled and effortless. Obviously he’s got great support muscles and knows how to use them. Can’t wait to see what these guys do in the future.
Just look at the guy from Avenged Sevenfold in his early days. Guy _destroyed_ his vocal cords through literal years of improper singing techniques. Same for the OG singer for Killswitch.
Same with some of dream theater in the mid/ late 90s, lot of unhealthy growl/ distortion, also in part to the food poisoning James LaBrie had to deal with in ‘94
Josh's voice is angelic, awesome, amazing and much other😍. Jake (guitar) and Josh are twins and Sam (bass) is their little brother. Danny (drums) is their best friend. There is armony in the air and I love it. I can't explain how much I love these boys. Thank you for your positive reaction😍💞💘💕💗💜💓💖🌹
Josh and the bass player Sam are twins - Jake is their older brother and plays lead - Danny is a great friend. They are just an awesome tight band -everyone should watch the full Red Rock Ampitheatre show - and they sound just like Greta Van Fleet!

You´re fantastic, Beth! Always showing very clearly you appreciation, is fantastic! I learned about Greta van Fleet few days ago, very late anyway but I was so surprised with them. Ammazing the new generations looking back for old but eternal stuff from my younghood building their own way and making growing again the interest for the old folks. Thanks!
Overfloable It’s a great song and band, but not so much an example of a competent vocalist. Cedric is wildly inconsistent and at times just downright embarrassingly awful. As a fan of the music I’m not slagging on it out of hate, but he really just isn’t a good vocalist.

Hi all, loved this reaction/critique, as a layperson when it comes to music, (Can't read it, have a weak and tuneless voice myself). I am attracted to many different styles of music, but never really thought about what I like or why. It's great to have some technical knowledgeable input from a knowledgable person to explain the why and the how. Looking forward to more, so I don't just say, "I know what I like and I like what I know." Thanks
During the 1970s and 1980s, I worked for a subcontractor at a nuclear power facility. Among my fellow employees were four young men who were members of a cover band called Borderline. Their lead singer, Scott Jones, could sing very well anything from Led Zeppelin to Queen to Thin Lizzie and others. I am quite sure that he never took any formal voice training but he was still able to sing and going to one of their gigs was quite entertaining.
Hey Beth I'd love it so much if you did another video on these guys and the improvements from this and now 😀 it's insane and I want to learn how sing like this guy

In an interview with them they mentioned something about early on Josh doing some that high screeching type singing and the other guys going 'KEEP DOING THAT!" or something along those lines.
Rumor has it that one day when they were jamming out in the garage, they didn't have a mic set up so Josh has to sing really loud to be heard over the guitar/bass/drums. That's when they realized just how powerful his voice is and that it totally works for their music!
Glad I got to experience them on their first visit to these Shores in Glasgow St Luke's in 2018. They were relatively unknown and we were right at the front.
