I am a South African born and bred and I don't have a passport to any country because what I get in S.A. is like being in any developed country in the world. I am planning to tour the whole of my beautiful country. I can't complain about anything. Lifestyle, housing, shopping, infrastructure, roads, hospitals and Malls are superb. I can't live anywhere except in my motherland. I can't even talk about business opportunities and I happened to grab one and it's selling like hot cakes. I agree with this Video 150% that South Africa is the first world country in a third world continent.

Its not even about money, south africa takes care of its people. Goverment schools give children food,hospital services, free clinic services,old age grants, grants for poor children, you can also get financial assistance to get to university, free education for poor children including school uniform, we dont turn students away from not paying school fees,free houses, free tribal land, free water and electricity in other poor areas.That is why most south africans don't travel. The only thing making south africans unhappy is job opportunities, crime and loadshedding of course.

These titles captures the level of development, success in most areas mentioned in this video. These different titles fits the 2 countries, there's no need for creating video challenging the title of these countries These two countries have strengths in areas the other may lack, it's all for the good of Africa if both of these countries co-op more, build understanding, work together in the necessary areas to uplift Africa, not trying to compare titles they call themselves. Sorry but no. The fact is that Nigeria should be a leader but isn’t. It isn’t even the best nation in West Africa and doesn’t seem like it wants to be a leader. Unity is important and very desirable for all. It would lead to greater economic growth, quality of life and self confidence in the world. However if the institutions are weak (which they are in Nigeria) then unity doesn’t mean much. It’s like calling for world peace. Nigeria is focus more on reorganizing itself for proper growth and development. Nigeria is focused on trying to put itself together after over 4 decades of political instability caused by military interventions, we just started enjoying stable democracy since 1999, the aim it to keep it that way while we adjust for growth. Goverment schools give children food,hospital services, free clinic services,old age grants, grants for poor children, you can also get financial assistance to get to university, free education for poor children including school uniform, we dont turn students away from not paying school fees,free houses, free tribal land, free water and electricity in other poor areas.That is why most south africans don't travel. Nigeria Choose the title Giant of Africa long ago because it sees itself as such, the population size and economy isn't a lie, so also are the challenges and many issues. China was poor in the 60s/70s but was recognized as a world leader, Asian giant and added to the security Council of UN because you can ignore a country that represents 1:3 of human population because of its low level of success in development.
No matter how poor they were then, they were regarded Asian giant. Nobody had issues with that. Mind you Singapore was categorized a fully developed countries in the 90s surpassing most other countries in Asia in all areas of development, this doesn't make it a giant ahead of india or China
Most people call South Africa Africa's most Advanced Economy/Rainbow Nation, Most sophisticated country.. this is undisputed by everyone and accepted as titles for South Africa.
These titles captures the level of development, success in most areas mentioned in this video.
These different titles fits the 2 countries, there's no need for creating video challenging the title of these countries

This video doesn't take into account the fact that south Africa wasn't an independent country for a long time. Nigeria was labelled the giant of Africa because they used to be the best country in Africa. They were the chief daddy that handed out loans without interest rates, lead the African Union and had some of the best military personnels at the time. No African country till this day has invested more in Africa than Nigeria (both financially and politically). That's the reason for its label. Nigeria is a representation of Africa, as most foreigners see a good portion of Africans abroad as Nigerian. The term "the giant of Africa" doesn't hold too much accuracy in 2023 but there was a valid reason for Nigeria being given that moniker.

As for South Africa being home to White Afrikans…l personally do not have a problem with that…there is strength in diversity. What we want is people that want to see Afrika shine through Ubuntu and do away with Racism and Tribalism.
If people from outside Afrika want to invest, by all means…just let them find us already working together towards a common goal.

Personally, l do not subscribe to stereotyping…because in the era we live in nothing is simple anymore. You will find that there are White folk who are now aligned to the struggles of the Black folk (some even were pre-independence). If you perpetuate that which your colonizer began…you inadvertently are contributing toward the spirit of its continuation. As l type this l realize it’s not that simple (as there are some who would love apartheid to continue…in whatever new form it morphs into).
…but, not all White folk are oppressive racists and they would proudly go to bat for South Africa as a whole. Ours is to find ways to incentivize those, penalize the racist ones and lift ALL who are impoverished regardless of race (that last bit just by nature means there will be a bias towards uplifting the Ethnic folk…and that is more than fine).

All l can attest to is my Afrikan lived experience. Here, there are a lot of honest to good White folk (but so are the few racists as well). It’s partly due to Whites being in the minority…but it’s also hugely because of our spirit of Ubuntu. You can not help but become a better person when surrounded by people who practice Ubuntu. Granted we have other complexities that make life not as simple. But generally, the average Afrikan (whether White or Black is at peace with the other…or at the very least cordial). Here it’s more of the politicians that generally cause grief for everyone else.
