We don't usually associate Cziffra with Beethoven yet he recorded a number of Sonatas as well as Variations and other pieces. This is an excellent rendition of one of Beethoven's most popular sonatas. In his first recital at London's Royal Festival Hall Cziffra included Beethoven's Sonata in F major Op.54 as well as the 'God Save the King' variations.

The second movement... Never expected from a virtuoso to play slow, beautiful, with soul and without any show-off moments. Cziffra, i love you

That looks like 128th to me. But still quite rare.

But for some reason I don't resonate as much with this interpretation, I don't know why. I would have done it differently :-??
