Otto, I decided on the V3 because of your video and your sample using it with Ace Pro! It works great! The tracking is awesome! Now I have a multi use gimbal that can be used for my iPhone and my action camera. Thank you for your review of the V3!
Thank you so much for this video Otto! I haven't heard of the Hohem brand at all not to mention the iSteady V3. As I need an iPhone gimbal I knew about the DJI and Insta360 options. However your video showed the superiority of the Hohem iSteady V3. As I live in Europe I often can't support US creators by using their affiliate links but I clicked yours anyway. For my pleasant surprise it loaded Amazon Germany where I buy things from. So I bought the Hohem iSteady V3 through your link. I watched the whole video (as a RUclips premium subscriber) I am commenting and liking. So hopefully this is close to the maximum support I can give. (none of my friends are interested in content creation so I no point in me sharing the video) Thanks! Boyan Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Wow, you do know about supporting content creators and the infamous RUclips algorithm! Very thankful for this and really appreciate your comment! Hope you enjoy your new V3!
@@OttoJulian_ I have watched other videos from you and I enjoyed them. Happy that I can support your efforts. This weekend I spent many hours deciding whether I want the Insta 360 X4 or the new DJI Action 5 or the Pocket 3 but at the end of the day I decided that the iPhone route will be the one for me. I have captured videos with an iPhone for years. And I will get the iPhone 16 Pro Max this year because my dad’s iPhone (a previous phone of mine) needs changing. The fact that the Hohem V3 is a gimbal AND extend as a selfie stick AND has metal legs and can act as a tripod AND is the most stable of the 3 for this size AND has a remote AND the tracking is external AND has a light AND is the cheapest is a tough combination to beat.
What a fantastic review and comparison - thank you Otto! You've helped me decide on the V3. I'm an Android user, I like the stability of the tripod feet and the remote control.
Insta360 is better if you need a smaller form factor. M6 has more feature, is stronger and overall easier to use. The Flow Pro has the advantage of having the tracking with iPhones outside of their app
@@OttoJulian_ i dont think size matters alot. It still wont fit in my pocket so it has to get in my backpack or somethin. Is the M6 considered "the best" from its category and budget? Also i want to congratulate you on a very good job. Your videos are very well put together
The M6 is my favorite one on the non-compact category. I use it most of the time unless I’m going away on a flight that requires me to save space on my backpack

Hi! Yeah visiting frequently now. I did a bunch of videos for the latest reviews of the Action 5 Pro and the GoPro 13. As a matter of fact flying there today!
Hey there! Great comparison video, leaning towards getting the V3 - quick question though; does it work alright with a phone that's in a hardshell case? I have a Samsung S23 Ultra with a UAG Monarch case for context.
You are welcome. Have you used that phone+case on a different gimbal? The clamp is pretty standard on the V3, I can’t tell how thick the case is by looking at pictures but for what I read it doesn’t add a lot of bulk
I just bought the V3 today and was going to mainly use it for an Insta360 Ace Pro. I have an iPhone 15 Pro with a very thick and heavy case so I decided to try it out with the V3. It works and handles it very well!

I’m wondering how much would the camera tilt from those movements. There are always new gimbals coming out but they are mostly the same. What changes are the features. These are all great with their own details/features that I talked about. For more freedom in movement the Hohem M6 is great but a big bigger that these ones (I have a review comparing it to the OM6)
The detachable remote control using Joy app by pressing 3 times the shutter button to switch from front to rear camera or vice versa when one person is in the front of the camera and another in the rear of the camera. Press the shutter button once to record the person in the camera or vice versa. You can control it from afar.
Another control for the same camera recordings: pressing in 3 times the side-button on the remote control to turn 180 degree and press the shutter button to record with the same rear camera on either side of two people. You can control it from afar.(back and forth continuously recording).
Steady V3 Joy app Pano Clone Me takes 3 shots of me, but it clones me just 2 out of 3 onto the final image on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Need to fix this issue. dji OM6 with Mimo app PANO CloneMe takes 3 shots of me and perfectly clones me 3 out of 3 onto the final image on my iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The Hohem is actually the cheapest gimbal in my market which these other two are almost double in price without discounts. I think I know which gimbal I'll get now.
Good video. I returned the hohem m6 today, not beucause the gimbal was bad, but the joy app is horrible, audiodrift is horrific and cant be ajusted in post beucause it slowly drifts. Many many has pointed this out, but no fix in sight. And yes you can use the other apps, but then you loose alot of its funktions. This is not acceptable. I will try the 360 pro out next.

@@MelvinDlaCruz did you mean “where”? The 5s is a bigger gimbal and I wanted to focus on these 3 which have a compact format and similar arm/axis arrangement. Besides, comparing more than 3 products in the same video gets exhausting for most people and even for me. A lot of testing goes on just to bring this type of video, I don’t like doing it like other RUclipsrs that barely test each function in real life scenarios
Unfortunately, your video is always incomplete. You need to test the gimbals in different scenarios like running, normal walking, and ninja walking ...ect, and most of your clip should focus on this. The main purpose of buying a gimbal is for these situations. Unfortunately, you focus on additional and unnecessary features. You didn't pay attention to my previous messages, and I no longer watch your videos fully. I just fast forward to see that you’re still emphasizing the same mistakes.😅😅😅😅😅
@@alalis3634 I don’t recall you giving me feedback on this matter, but I’ll tell you this little secret: walking is shown in the video one by one same place same pace. Ninja walking is a waste of time because they all behave the same, and running is where there might be a bit of difference but, I’ve done this kind of tests in the past and nobody is able to tell a difference between one shot and the other. So why lie to my viewers about something that clearly doesn’t exist. And those RUclipsrs that claim that X gimbal moves in a better way, most of the time it’s false. The sensitivity of each gimbal is different and as a user it takes a bit of time to get used to the gimbal if you are used to Y gimbal. After that the behavior is just the same. The problem is not the gimbal but rather a muscle memory issue. So you are right, stabilization is the main reason to buy one, but since it’s pretty much the same, I chose to point out features that people normally use on a gimbal.
