  • Well this video is of the most expensive shower I've ever fitted, the Hansgrohe Rain Select 5 function unit and Ibox rainselect head....amazing bit of kit!!
    Complete install guide from start to finish of the front of the unit.
    Also fitting new toilets in flat, utility sinks in basements and helping out with the builders with a hottub concrete base in 36degree heat

    Well done mate that shower was a mission! my head would have gone 🤯 😂😂, I see 4 👎 what the hell is that about , come on !!! he has just built the centre console of the F*****g starship enterprise in bloody 100 degree heat !!     Moved to Australia and no jobs installing boilers so spent 10 years concreting for a company out there, absolutely loved it!! Back in England installing boilers again now!!

    Beast of a shower those. I’ve fitted a few HG showers but not that one. Looks like you had a better Friday than me. I got home late after a full day in a loft (no fan) and then had to wait for word from the wife who’d gone to hospital for some check ups and a possible stay. Went to bed around 1 am was just going over and phone goes off. Drove to Scarborough to get the wife and ended up stuck there for an hour or so and got home around 5 am. Bloody knackered.

    What a job that was for a shower, albeit a nice one, so many things could go belly up with that if the instructions bot followed to the letter. Good job though especially in that heat mate so we’ll done and I look forward to seeing it all working in a couple of weeks, all the best.

    Crazy design, buttons have plastic lugs - they will become brittle over time- bet the buttons won't come separately as a spare either. Great workmanship and quality of installation

      I agree Lee…. However to be fair to Hansgrohe EVERY little bit has a part number in the book for this issue if it ever happens (I would hope it wouldn’t at that price though)

    I've always wondered if any of this Gucci flashy bathroom /shower bits last the test of time, as you know plastics and some metals look awful after a few months of use. Also hard water makes a mess of anything shiny.

    That shower tiling is really not growing on me. It's like the converse of feng shui the way it is put together. I bet it is pricey but it needs more planning care and symettry from the tiler to pull it off.

    That sort of shower looks great in a showroom but its got so many unnecessary valves that after a few years one is bound to fail! I'm sure even your Shower man would have difficulty finding ones to fit!!

    Well done on fitting the shower valve Mark - personally I would of had a cry in my van fitting that 😬😁 and that is why I don't install bathrooms 👍 How jammy were you with that toilet supply ? Normally it would be 5mm too short 🤔

    Why would anyone need a shower like that, I prefer a bath, but when I do have a shower I’m in it for 3 minutes, I admire your skill and patience though,great job

    Seems a bit excessive shower for such a small shower tray. I would of had the head on the back wall so the head aims down the length of the tray

      Couldn’t be done due to the depth of the wall on that end, wasnt deep enough to take the Ibox…… things like that need to be taken into account, this isn’t the first job like this I’ve done unlike some that would of done that and hit issues at the end
      Preparation is key.
      As for being excessive…… it’s what they like so they have it, money isn’t an issue

      As said in the video, I don’t do enough boiler work etc to justify it, I have the guy in the video do my breakdowns/servicing etc for me and he passes me stuff he doesn’t do plumbing wise….

    Why? It's a shower. I can kinda understand why it would be important that tech can make showering safer. Thermostatic controls for vulnerable people. Various shower heads, adjustable spray patterns etc. But....why?
    So unnecessary complicated. Expensive to repair and finding spares I'll bet is like finding rocking horse shit.
