    Those milwaukee automatic pipe cutters are rubbish on 15mm, still using my pipe slice, too! Just a thought don't ALL outside taps have double-check valves built into their bodies ? Therefore, there is no need for adding an extra one?....

    • @MJTiffPlumbing
      @MJTiffPlumbing  Месяц назад +1

      You have to get the specific outside tap with check valve in, not all come with them. Plus don’t even bother using them as they freeze up in the winter and shatter the plastic, then don’t have a check valve at all, always best to fit them internally

  • @liamkaizen4785
    @liamkaizen4785 Месяц назад +1

    Great job but I thought the regs state you need to have a drain off valve on after the isolation and check valve do you can then isolate and drain the pipe out through winter, that’s how I’ve done them anyway

    • @MJTiffPlumbing

    Why do people/plumbers/kitchen fitters leave the threaded bolt so long? It takes 30 seconds to cut it down to an appropiate size so that a regular socket set can be used to tighten and/or undo it. Then, there would be no need for expensive 'Tap socket sets' that are clearly not fit for their job ( unless you spend even more money buying extended/long reach sockets that should have been included in the original set!). Just go buy yourself some long reach sockets... I've been using them for years!
