Sound advice once again Jay. When I get asked, "what loads are you on" I answer with my own question. What do you need your car to do better? Today's world just wants the answer and doesn't want to do the math.

Thanks jay. You said you can add rounds to the LF to get some RR feel. Im curious because in your other videos you said you cant add rounds to any one corner to affect load, it only affects ride height in that corner and adjustments must be made in all 4 corners. Am i missing something?

You are correct when it comes to the RR. Some people nowadays will raise and lower the RR by itself to change the feel, on a local level that may work, but I still think it is a poor ideal. If you need to make a small adjustment to the car center off and you are at the race track you could put some turns in the left front to try to help. If it was to help then you should think about fixing it when you get back to the shop.

Thanks for the awesome video. Would love to see that ride height vs. load you talked about. When setting ride heights, all 4 shocks should be bolted on car correct? I’ve been told other wise. I have tried it both ways and the spring rate the shocks add throw it back off.

When using a big rebound Rf and a big compression LR we will remove them to make it easier.

As I watched this I found myself agreeing out load several time yelling YES! Lol like you could hear me! I consulted on a couple cars and we always argued over RR load and the spring itself. For some reason they would allow me to change anything but that! They were in the 275-300 RR load range on a 150# spring. The corner opposite of another corner (LR-RF and LF-RR) has to work together. With too little load on one the other loses as well!

YES, we need to understand how important the RR is to the car. Thanks for your comment on this.

I just don’t understand this. After I set the preload in LR and RR, do I not worry about the ride height in the rear? Do I not worry about LR bite?

Set the RR load at RIDE HEIGHT, and scale the car with bite. Then add the preloaded left rear spring setup, if this changes your ride height let it be, go race the car. Good luck and if you need more info call 620-326-3152.

Hey Jay, RR load question , on my car if I set it at 375-400 at Ride height it then has only 300 load at full droop . 13 inch spring. what do you think of that ?

As the car accelerates load will decrease because the bars are climbing. This is why we want to have a good load number to start with, also rebound in the RR shocks helps maintain that load.

Jay wonder if you could do some with visual aid ,drawing of sorts ,! I understand some , but being Dyslexic, thing get turned around alot of times but if there's arrows pointing ,direction lines it help ! Just a thought! Now i will watch this 10 ,20 times to get what a normal person sees! Great that you give this free info thanks a million!👍

Yes I want to do a whole ride vs load vs spring rate thing to show the height difference to people.
