Jay thanks alot for all the time spent on these videos. I watch it all. The way you break things down for us is great. I'll be having u build my shocks for my factory stock this season. I'll be giving u a call soon

One of my favorite things to do in the off season is look at old notes and watch the race video of the same date to see how the car was with different setups.

That is a very good thing to do, I loved it when we did Monday night replay, we learned so much watching videos.

I like the car held down on the right front and I like using the chassis to do so as you say. In USRA there isn’t a a bar rule or a max length control arm rule do you have any thoughts on the longer lever? I’m in southern mn everyone fast is all on top or behind on right rear spring. Behind the spring makes the car tighter on entry to the middle, that’s on deccal. Track conditions is usually on the slicker side, Roots are the roughness for traction. But my question is going from front to rear or rear to front how would you take the travel load and transfer it. Example 225 on the rear to the housing with 2 1/2” roll, spring change to the front side to get the same out of it on rate without going past the same amount of roll. So going from spring behind to up front.

My rule of thumb has been 25 pounds per spot, which makes a 225 behind on the soft side. If we were running the spring behind here on a 225 we would have more than 2.5” of travel, it would be over 3” a lot. The question is how to move the spring and get the same results, the problem is when going to the front we still need to maintain our load travel too and do it in a 2.5” travel. My guess is more spring rate and more lead to make it roll. Thanks for a great question.

The worst nights are when you know what the car is doing, you know what you want the car to do but you don't know how to get there from here.

Do service other brands of shocks? Looking for options for our afco shocks.
