You are absolutely correct when you said that Freddie Mercury had the greatest voice in Rock, and that he could sing opera. In fact he did! Check out Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballé - Barcelona.

@@Rockmusicpodcast actually a great doubleheader would be the Live Hyde Park version followed by the studio version. The live version is rather short but beautiful. The studio version was done by Freddie alone by layering multiple tracks of himself, it’s incredible

20th Century!! Written by Freddie Mercury ♥️

That is the Classiest , most musically competent , and talented bands to ever come out of Pop Rock. With one of the Best lead men of all time the late , great Freddie Mercury..
Brian May literally created his own style of playing as well as created the very guitar he has played for years. Queen was so damn influential on the music world that they were literally the inspiration for many of today's bands from Rock to country to Rap. Famous Country singer Garth Brooks claims he owes his career and inspiration to Queen. Lady GaGa literally loved them , and her very name came from a Queen song (Radio GaGa). these guys are Far beyond classics ..they have graduated to Legends.

Check out Roger Taylor sing a song he wrote called "I'm In Love With My Car". In live shows ( and I saw them 3 nights in a row at the Forum in L.A. in the late 70's) Taylor covered some of Freddie's parts when Freddie's voice got tired. He sings higher than Freddie, too. btw: Freddie did some opera songs live. Keep it up!

You should try some David Bowie! "Space Oddity" is one of my favorites of his. I'd also highly recommend checking out "Magic Dance" and some of the other songs he did in the Labyrinth (movie) soundtrack if you're interested in branching out a little bit to a different media.
