- This is 18 months after my hair transplant in Turkey.
If you have not seen the first 7 days please view this first as this gives a full breakdown of the cost as well as the recovery after the operation.
I had a 3800 Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant on the front, top and crown of my head.
I went to gethair.co.uk/... in Istanbul in Turkey.

You really suit keeping your hair short and neat at the sides and back. Takes years off you mate 👍
To be honest, I was hoping to see much more, fuller and thicker hair considering the fact that you had 3500 grafs done, if I remember correctly. I mean it looks not bad but I hope it gets better with time. So far I am not convinced to undergo this procedure. I would need to see better results. Thank you for sharing though and please post more in the future if you see more improvement.
Even though the crown area didn't thicken up, It still looks great! Thanks for sharing your story with all of us.
Goodolboy One he’s not taking any finasteride or minoxidil ... he could have achieved much better results ...
Looks a really good job agnus thanks for sharing your journey. I'm just coming up to 5 months and I'm a similar case to you so it's been informative on what to expect.
Hair looks far better than it was before mate! Keep going
You look great man, having done two strips myself I can tell your result looks good and natural. I can recommend a good soft hair brush to brush from neck to scalp all around the scalp (down to up with and do this around your scalp for a few minutes as a ritual before sleep for example), and here in sweden we have a supplement called priorin that is made from nature and makes hair more vital and fuller. Only a recommendation if you want to avoid another treatmeant.
HI.. I live in Norway.. I also use Priorin, I also use Minoxidil since month 3, I am today at 5 months one week..
Hello, I am from Sweden too. Have you done any PRP after transplant? They recommended to me in Turkey that I should do PRP but it is very expensive here in Sweden. Any tips or ideas?
What is PRP? They just checked on me yesterday (they check my situation on monthly basis up to one year I think) they said now I can stop take every medicine. If I want I can continue with basic vitamins and also priorin if I want but is not necessary. By the way minoxidil is to help non transplanted hair mainly. Is not really for the transplanted ones since they are from the back side and they are immune to hormones and falling
@@omarpiane2379 Platelet-rich plasma or PRP is said to be helpful after hair transplant. I did my transplant in Antalya in Turkey in Feb 2019 and they in Turkey did PRP for me one time after six month and they said you would better do it again But in Sweden it is so expensive that i did not do it. The process for PRP is that they take a small amount of blood, put it in a centrifuging machine and they separate the palsma, then they inject it under the skin in those areas that you have done your transplant, if you pay more you can also get something called "Mesotherapy" which means they put some Vitamins and Minerals in plasma and they inject them all into scalp. I think PRP for me was useful so I recommend it if you find it with good price. Now my question is about priorin. Was it useful for you? Do you use capsules or shampoo? I am going to try it and i would appreciate your advice. Tnx !
@@Kevin-id1uj HI.. I take priorin pills just because is not so expensive and its like a normal supplement with no collateral effects (as far as I know).. I use an oil that they gave me and the shampoo they gave me.. but honestly my friend that did it in the same clinic used lotions and medicines only for a month and stopped everything after that, and he got very good results.. I think it depends on what kind of hair you have and the transplant procedure itself more than on medicines..What I think is important is to do scalp massages couple of time a day.. anyway I think that in most cases 1 transplant is not enough, or maybe it is, but everyone get greedy after getting their hairs back and want more and more :)
about the plasma.. they did it to me right after the operation, I asked about doing it again but they said that is good of course, but not necesasry. .I live in norway, and here is even more expensive than Sweden, as you will know probably.. actually I shall come to Sweden to do it.. how much is there (in Kroner)?
If your donor area allows it, you should consider doing another HR. Most people need 2 or 3 of them to get good results.
Also you need to think about the fact, that balding is a progressive proces. Once you did a hair transplant it doesnt mean your natural hair( the hair that grown naturally on your crown) will stop falling. Its very important especially If you did your hair transplant at young age.
@@TheVersucci I think he's over 45, so his balding process has slowed down significantly or ceased.
Emad Moussa yes the aging process ceases at 45 😂😂😂
@@immers2410 After 45 the hair loss plateaus for most people.
@@emadmoussa2576 Nonsense. Lots of people have good hair until their 60s, then lose it.
thank you for posting the video. it helped me to understand the procedure.
That looks so much better than it did though! I would recommend getting one or two more done. Everyone that's ever had that procedure done to a fully satisfactory degree has had anywhere from 3-4 of the surgeries done. I think one or two more and your hair will be perfect.
A thinning crown isn't a problem - especially at your age. A slightly thinning crown is age appropriate. I'd be thrilled to have as much hair as you by the time I'm 50. One thing you might want to consider is scalp micropigmentation to give the illusion of a fuller head of hair at the top? But you're fine as you are.
Add hair fibre to your crown amazing stuff
Great to follow your journey. Thanks for sharing. Extremely helpful. Great results 👍
Microblading in Vietnam will be a cheaper and permanent option. Huong Nguyen. I have friends who've done upto 3 transplants in Turkey. Painful, and some even lose transplanted hair. Microblading gives an illusion of denser hair. Try Ho Chi Minh City.
It looks ok, more grafts would have been better. Taking minoxidil and using it on the crown from the start would have helped heaps, as well as finasteride. There is always a second surgery, which would nail it, up to you offcourse.
Transplant looks great! I dont think you should lower the hair line IMO just save them for dense packing the thining areas
The result is not bad at all..great improvement.....
great result, Id say no need to lower the hair line it looks age appropriate. Maybe beef up the temple points. Save your remaining donors for touch ups.
Hairline looks fine.
Looking good. You are happy about it. Oh , Thank you for sharing.
Yes, I'm always happy.
Thanks for sharing, you do look better and younger with that hair. I hope the hair cloning technology would come soon
I second what Gabriel says and you look great bald ,however if you do go back I heard having micropigmentation on the crown before another htp gives the allusion of density
It looks good. I really liked the shaved look on you too. To each his own and best regards to you.
Were I to see you for the first time in the street and I was asked to comment on your hair, I would describe it as thinning and you as balding. With that being said, can the transplant really be considered a success?
@Τασος Καρακασης you are the total loser here so what if the guy wants to better his appearance and hes approaching 60 years of age so does that mean he should let his appearance just go out the window he comes across as a well mannered charming and educated man I'm guessing hes the complete opposite of you ....
But he can turn around and tell you..."it will be like this forever so I'll never be bald." Whereas someone else in that situation who hasn't had a transplant will continue to bald
@Τασος Καρακασης I get what you are saying. I am guessing he got the procedure because he has a nice looking wife. In the West women have the upper hand and men feel they have to stay good looking to keep them. I could be wrong but that is what I thought.
@Doctor Boy How do you know that he has a nice looking wife lol
Leave it mate looks alright
dude you should also add those keratin fibers to your head as well. It will blend in nicely with your hair.
no hassle I can’t be bothered with all that hence I had a hair transplant, It doesn't sound like 'no hassle'
This time I'd suggest u come to India and try Medispa in Jaipur. They have a RUclips channel as well and see their results. It's promising. Not their brand ambassador or anything like that. I'm in the exploration stage and thinking of doing it myself, hence the suggestion
amit trivedi interesting, it maybe to expensive for me to get a flight to India.
Would look fantastic if you shave it and get SMP. You have the nice texture from the transplant and smp will make it thick and it would look great.
I wouldn't bother with another transplant it looks natural..plus it looks good for your age👍
Thanks very much forgetting back to me much appreciated stay safe
Kinda funny how the OC Hair ad uses the theme song of Farming Simulator 19... wtf..
PS: I dunno if the haridresser lady told you that while she made a mistake, but I do not think it looks thicker when short,.. honestly one can see your scalp easier
when it is shorter on the crown. I thought it looked better a little longer.
trims can make it look thicker
Being honest mate I think you look very similar to before and you looked good with a shaved head anyway, but fair play to you for trying going for it. SMP was my preferred method and I'm very happy with my results.

I think it looks fine dude. I am also thinking about transplant, infact consulted a doctor in Toronto who offered 5000 grafts for 5K canadian, to me sounds like a good deal.
Care to share where? Im also in Toronto.
@@benjacobs2616 10288 Yonge Street, Unit #2. Its actually in Richmond Hill. Just got the consultation done and not the treatment yet.
Dude you have a wonderful wife. Don’t worry so much about your hair. But the transplant does look good. If you got the money then sure go for it. But why worry so much. You seem like your happy part of your life and have wonderful pretty wife. She doesn't care what your hair looks like anymore at this age.
You look fine and you are a nice looking and capable fellow. Save your money and spend it on a trip.
Carole Wise I spent it on a trip and got a hair transplant at the same time.
How much did it cost. And how much are they charging to lower the hair line thanks.
Hi Angus. You are looking nice. How do I find a high quality hair transplant place in Turkey.
Its knocked years of you n looks great, still u did suit the bald head too.
Get smp done to give your hair a fuller look
Looks great. Don't go any lower with your hairline. It will not look normal with the sides being so far back.
Great result,trust me!!
You have a perfect shaped head fo a very close cut, it looks like a little bit like a wig at the front, but it is working and if your happy thats all that matters!!!! all the best!!!
Hi Angus! Thx for sharing! If you decide to do a second transplant, would you like to do it with dr Tayfun also? are you thinking also in micropigmentation as another comment said?
Looks great!
You don’t have enough on your donor area to have another procedure. Just live as it is... keep it as short as you can to make it last as loner as possible, because eventually, you will continue to lose hair.
I gave up hair transplant and went to a hair piece. The only option to bring the same volume back and the same or an even better, hair line.
Suits your age.
Hey there your hair looks great, just wondering do you take vitamins to help but it looks very good
Michael Ryan Hi, I do take a multi vitamin and a bit D and Vit C sometimes. But mainly I eat healthily.
Angus McGregor
Your Transplant looks wonderful Angus! You were quite brave to have your procedure outside of the UK, because if something went wrong your Health Insurance wouldn’t cover any complications in Turkey. That being said, Infection would be the greatest risk w/any surgery.
I think your hair looks Amazing @ the 18 & 20 months mark. However if you would like the Hairline lowered, it would be even better but it depends on the risk of infection & spending the time & money. How much were they charging you for the Touch-Up of the Crown & thé Hairline? Do they quote you in Euros or Pounds? I’m American but used to converting Euros to US Dollars. Seems like $1,500 USD would be reasonable. Anyway you have a great head of hair no matter what you decide. Your natural gray is nice on a man, not so good on women, in general. Can you send a Brochure to Prince William please? He has lost all his beautiful blonde hair on-top & he really really needs a Transplant!
HELLO Sir g can you tell me how much money till end please and how much graft
Hi Angus,
Thanks for your report.
I have one question: except obviously the hair getting longer, did you notice between month 12 and 18 also still new growth and or thicker hairs?
I’m just asking as I’m now at my 11th month and have a lot of very thin hairs and lot of short hairs between the normal thick hair an I wonder if those become thicker like the normal hair?
Thanks!
Yes there was a difference. The hair density still improved between 12 to 18 months. I was hoping the Crown area would improve more during this time but it didn’t due to the lack of blood flow to the Crown area
Think I need to get mine done after watching this video and the subsequent videos you sold it on me have you got any advice for me though any pitfalls specific procedures I know you’ve mentioned them before just reaching out to you for a bit more information from your experience.
Edward Jaycocks I got caught out as I play in band and they said not to let your head sweat for 1 month after so I had to cancel a gig. There are certain dos and don’ts but they give you a list of all the things you should do to look after the transplant for the first few weeks. It is worth getting a quote I left the link to Get Hair in the video description. All the best with your decision.
visit Pakistan it's way cheap than any other country around the globe. i did 4000 grafts for around less than 500 pounds...
Looks good man
Not the worst outcome to be fair but have to manage expectations. You have advanced balding and were always going to struggle to get good density with 3800 grafts even more so taking into account you have fine hair. I think the clinic should have focused on just the frontal/midscalp for the first procedure. Spreading 3800 all over the scalp with you level of baldness was always going to be a struggle.
Regarding where the hairline is.....you have to be careful lowering the hairline especially when you have advanced balding and think the clinic were right to play it safe and keep it pretty conservative.
Saying that, I'd be tempted to look elsewhere if you are considering a 2nd procedure tbh. If cost is a major factor which prohibits seeing the well known quality surgeons, do more research into clinics in Turkey and India. You may want to look into Dr Cinik and Dr Demirsoy in Turkey who operate at the lower price range or consider Eugenix Hair Sciences in India who have been producing impressive results recently. Good luck
If you do get another hair transplant, how much do you think it will come out to this time?
Buddy they’ve charged you three times more than normal price , they charge locals 5-600 pounds and foreign 1000-1200 pounds
Victor Kabiri I had three quotes from three separate companies in Istanbul all around the same price.
It looks great now. It’s fine just like it is. Just keep it short.
Look good mate! Look natural nobody can see the crown anyways!
Ur considering getting the crown done again! if it didnt work the first time it probably wont work again
Yes, I think I will go back when we are able to travel again from the UK.
Are you going to get the crown done? You really should cause I think it would look great if you got that part fixed
I might go back again when we can travel again and it is safe to do so.
Looks pretty good
I Said earlier in your previous video that your hairline created was quite above and because of thin hair you couldn't achieve such density. Try another good clinic for your second transplant also you need to do proper care.
Looks good. How old were you when you had your 1st hair transplat? I was planning to have one but worry due to my age.
he was 49
Toto I’ve A friend who did it at 55
Not gonna lie the results are not what I expected
so you have to change your whole life style permantly for the hairline??? or just during recovery??
@Etienne Bunbury dont insult me, its a legit question he didnt go into details. are you stupid?
Yes, it was a legit question. Just during the recovery for about 2 weeks there are certain dos and dont's
I wouldnt take most comments to serious. ..I'm a barber of 18 years in Massachusetts . You're hair is definitely thin but overall they did a great job. Yes shorter will make it appear more full. ... Youre lucky the sides grew back that well ,sometimes it doesnt . The front is the hardest to do on anyone. It usually takes a few times. However it still looks very natural . Check out Dr Matthew lopresti in Massachusetts. Amazing work with payment plans I believe.
for the crown, you MUST get on propecia
I wanted to avoid taking any drugs, they say finasteride is not necessary for middle aged older people which believe it or not I fall into.
Looks very good.
I had one done 16 years ago.....never regretted it.
Hi Angus! Are you taking any post - op medications? Did the clinic prescribed you to take any?
Ayyappan Panneerselvam I had to take antibiotics and an anti-swelling drug for seven days after the operation but that’s all.
Thank you Angus! Your hairline looks great with the appropriate density. Well done mate!
how much did they quote you for the hairline??
why did i even get this in my recommendation......
Any hair beats the Egg headed bald look!
To be honest, 90% of people really dont full on stare at your hair. To be honest mate, your hair looks fine but if you're worried about density, there are shampoos and hair products that can thicken your hair up but overall you got a decent head of hair there. Just my opinion.
I think it looks great
I’m 2 months in and I really hope my hair comes back😬
where did you have it done?
I went to turkey.
How does it look now?
Did you combine prp?
Good luck
so after a hair transplant hair grafts continue to grow after 12 months ? thanks
Yes they continue to increase until 18 months after the transplant and then it stays the same from then onwards.
Did you just fart ? 0:45 lol Btw great video, it looks good.
9sunskungfu I’m still doing it.
How much did it cost and how many grafts did u have transplanted.
Ahmad Muhammad Ijaz it cost £3300 for 3600 grafts.
Angus McGregor thanks for your reply. Your hair line is really good but thickness is not that good.
Has it something to do with doctor’s expertise or quality of your hair. Once again thanks for your kind reply. Best of luck forsecond procedure.
Do you use finasteride or minoxidil after HT?
No I chose not to.
get some rogaine and minoxidil boom if you really want it to be thicker tho personal choice you look great
It tries it before and it didn't work for me.
It looks nice
Best.. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Very nice.
Would advise you to go to Dr Cink, he does beard grafts and mixed with other hair, worth looking into it.

Gethair ripped you off lol. they mustve made 1000 euro or even more on you. I got a quote recently from Dr T where it was $2000 euro and Dr T does the incisions is the middle package.
How many grafts was your quote for? I had 3800 grafts and paid 3300GDP which is the average rate.
I think you should have kept your money and kept it shaved you looked great
Looks great , I would just have shaved my head rather than get a hair transplant myself. .
well see how you would feel being a bald female then. Silly cow.

i think this company might of mugged you
Just shave that hair and enjoy your life
If you happy all it matters !me personally fuck it I still get more ass than a toilet i have the bruce willis going so am good
You should just rock the short look now, maybe 2 guard all over. Another transplant is probably worthless.
not that good!
looking natural now anyway. don't do another one.
This is not so good results... the hairline is wayyy too high .. how old are you and since what age have you begun to lose hair ? 3000 graft for your balding area to cover was not enough.. the surgeon should have 100 % went with a 5000 + grafts transplant. with a 1500 grafts at the hairoline and 500 + on the crown your result will be much more satisfying !! :)
I think he is about 55? But yes, he should have just embraced the bald and forget the silly transplant
@@alfunn9100 55 wow that's old. It not worth having a transplant at that age as it won't be long before I get euthanised.
Vincent Morin-Harvey exactly. 6000-10000 would be needed for a nice full set of hair witth somewhat density
If you have donor hair left, go again. Only half a job done.
Just so so.. not worth for the money that you spent.
i think they robbed you
That is realy weak result ,no hairline at all , i hope you did not pay more then 1500 eur
