  • This was my entry to the Pwnisher VFX CGI Render competition challenge with a narrated animation breakdown behind the scenes of how it was created! This project I created a 'Viking Funeral', saying goodbye to their leader. I had a great time making this and learnt a lot!

    Yo! Just wanted to say this inspired me to start creating my own stylized Viking character. I definitely cannot make anything near this but I hope I can create at least some kind of animation of the Vikings, I have ideas for ones too. Thanks for the video!

    • @lewisanimation
      @lewisanimation  Год назад +1

      Amazing! Really glad the video inspired you :D There's definitely a lot of opportunity to create really good looking textures with viking characters. Definitely look into Blender's new hair system and just add it to everything, it'd work really well for a beard, but also to create a fur effect and can also look amazing just on regular cloth adding tiny fibres, that look especially good around the edges if you add a back light to your character. Really good luck with your character! :)

      I find many of these competitions serve some narrative. I once participated in a script competition, I made it to the top 10 but the winner was a script from a supposedly "8 year old" child. It was obvious he did not write it, but it was good for headlines.

    Please make a tutorial on how did you rig mouth and blandshape and control rig for mouth because I want to make talking animation and this is the easiest way to make that

    • @lewisanimation
      @lewisanimation  10 месяцев назад

      So the main thing you need to learn is how drivers work, once you understand that it should start to make sense. The mouth opening had the bottom half of the jaw weight painted to a bone. Then you create shape keys for different mouth positions. Look up some tutorials on how drivers work and you basically add a driver to the shape keys, driven by the movement of a bone. I hope this helps! :)
