What beautiful roads! Those mountains were Gorgeous! ❤
@munchinwithmackenzie The views were AMAZING! I wanna go back!
Just proud of you for doing your own thing. Keep riding those very scenic roads and bringing us along with you.
@nevillehenry9940 Thank you!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Loved it! Great job riding the Back of the Dragon! what a pleasure meeting you. looking forward to our next meetup, when maybe we can actually get to “ride” together, or just sit and chat over coffee. I was awestruck meeting a famous youtuber!!! you Rock!
@davezimmerman8627 haha thanks and happy to hear you got home safe. Never met ANYONE who kept their vehicle in their hotel room either lol. Yes next year let's plan a ride and coffee!
@@melissasmotorcycleadventures let’s do it. i’m in!
👋👋🤘👍❤️🌹😎
Hi Melissa, I'm proud of you! You're doing your own thing! Don't worry about the haters here. And your confidence and skill levels are climbing. Next, the tail of the dragon. 🐼🐼🐼 you get 3 pandas today!!!
@mike50cal.26 THANK YOU!! oh man, I must be special to get the 🐼
Great accomplishment, has to feel great getting this one under your belt. Hope you had a chance to enjoy the scenery as well!!
Cool mansion too!!
@acecafebikes oh yes! I did enjoy the views. Fantastic ride. Can't wait for more!
That's a beautiful road! Glad you got to ride it when it was dry... my experience on it was... wet, to say the least.
Just subscribed to your channel, I love seeing your adventures. Can you do a video on how to carry a passenger? I would like to try it this coming season.
@abbihendrickson2955 YES! I was planning on filming that actually!
I can't wait! @@melissasmotorcycleadventures
good morning! looking forward to enjoying this video.
@davezimmerman8627 morning! Enjoy your debut lol
Beautiful road, but honestly: nothing special for European standards. I have just been in northern Spain and there are thousands of kilometers of roads like that. I was there for a week of hiking but I NEED to get back there on a motorcycle. Even densely populated Germany has similar roads. So if you like those: come to Europe, rent a bike and once you are back in the US you are going to hate those wide straight highways! ;-)
I definitely believe that is true! Last may I rented a motorcycle in Israel and got a taste of riding internationally. I have several locations on my bucket list with Ireland being at the top. I LOVE Spain! I may have to add it back to my list but this time on a motorcyle :)
OMG I"M SO JEALOUS Why can't we ride for a job????
The BOTD is not too far from me here in Tennessee! The riding here in northeastern TN and southeastern VA is fantastic! I've been in 49 of the states and this area has the finest riding I've experienced yet! There are so many fantastic rides here in TN as well as in VA, KY, NC, and GA. Riding in the fall here is breath-taking! I highly recommend you ride the entire Blue Ridge Parkway if you haven't already! Thanks for sharing your adventures!! Ride safe. Ride well. Ride often.
@soujrnr I haven't ridden in those areas myself but I have been a passenger and yes....beautiful beautiful riding down there! I plan to make a trip there as soon as I can!
Good on you, Melissa. Ride your own ride, that's the best and it becomes euphoric. Well done. Ride well. Cheers
@Moz42 Thanks friend!!
Just as an additional comment, I loved how you made the point that you rode your own ride. That is the KEY to staying alive out there. Too often, people get caught up in the emotion of the moment if riding with others, and they end up exceeding their capabilities and going off the road. I rode the Snake recently (near my house) and I saw two riders on crotch rockets riding way too fast into turns that far exceeded their capabilities and sure as the sun rises in the east, their stupid a$$e$ went right over the edges off the road into never-never land. I didn't see where they landed or if they lived. I was going the other direction and there were plenty of others stopping, so I didn't stop to add to the melee of confusion. You rode WISELY, and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
@soujrnr I can't tell you how much I appreciate this comment!!!! I'm frequently told my bike is too big or too powerful for me and that I should just be taking classes and not riding the road. I have taken classes and plan on taking more but how in the world do you actually learn and apply what your taught in class unless you actually RIDE. Yes I took the turns slower than a more experienced rider but I rode at my skill level and I AM A MUCH BETTER RIDER NOW for it! Thank you thank you for positive words. I do hope those people you saw ended up ok. Ride safe!
That mansion seemed pretty cool, although a little creepy. You always gotta just ride your own ride. Don’t out ride your own abilities!!!
@goofybastard I definitely am too chicken to out ride my abilities lol. I'm happy with my growth! Thanks for being a loyal follower :)
Such beautiful twisty roads. So proud of how far you have come as a rider, you look and sound so much more confident. Keep up the amazing work and always remember ride your own ride 🏍
@kramer8865 thank you! I'm just gonna keep on keepin on :)
Great video! Loved the ending, it’s cool seeing you build confidence. Love your bike, too. Keep at it!
Thank you so much!!! I'm grateful I get to share my adventures and growth with everyone
Wtf!! @ 3:48 choosing to do a U Turn on an opposing side of traffic and with little to no riding skills? Wow
I was def nervous but my husband was also keeping an eye on the road. Gotta learn the skills somehow and couldn't leave a fellow rider stranded :)
Great footage. Really pretty scenery. Looks like you had great weather too.
I did!! Thank you so much!!
This is the first I’ve heard of “back of the dragon”. I’ll have to check it out.
It's beautiful roads all around the area! If you head up this way, hit me up on instagram or Facebook!!
@@melissasmotorcycleadventures I’ll definitely hit you up on IG. I’m a new “creator” so I’d also love to pick your brain on your process and building an audience. 😊
Beautiful ride! Was the mansion haunted?
@XenaTheQuadCamBikah haha, if it was haunted, we didn't experience any hauntings...and I'm glad I didn't! Lol
I rode that in July epic riding. I just subscribed
Thanks and welcome to my channel! I loved the roads around that area even more than BOTD. I'm ready to go back!
@@melissasmotorcycleadventures I hear ya I was hoping to go back again. I went to VAMM which is the Virginia area Moto Meetup in July it was a lot of fun check out the series I did about my travels down and the riding around the area you might find it interesting being as you just travelled there. The event is open to any motovlogger. I travelled with 3 buddies for the 3-day event, then we travelled home to Canada But went to Ohio so we could ride the 555 Triple nickel what a trip.
@@Supermankev2001 i checked out your video from VAMM. It was fun to relive the views:) I've never heard of VAMM but I'm looking for fun things to do in 2024 and that sounds like a good one to go to! A quick Google search didn't turn up anything yet but I'll keep an eye out :)
We are going to ride back of the dragon next year and all around the Burkes Garden area. We did the Tail of the Dragon this year and 1800 miles, NC, TN, VA, WV and back to NC.
You're gonna love it. The area around Tazewell is amazing. I want to do the trip you did next year!
@@melissasmotorcycleadventures I can give you details if you want them.
@ShutterUp would love it! My email is melmototour@gmail.com or hit me up on Instagram melissamotoadventures
Now on to the TAIL!!!
YES! 2024!
That part of the country is absolutely beautiful. We rode the Tail of the Dragon in June and we rode our pace and absolutely loved it. We stayed in Blairsville Ga for a month. 😊
Yes it is def beautiful! I love georgia!!!
@melissasmotorcycleadventures we are thinking about moving down that way. We live in Northern New Hampshire and winter is way too long here
@@donaldcotnoir1865 oh man! I would imagine snow. I hate the white stuff!
Great video. Love that ride.
Let's plan a ride in the spring!
