According to some of the Carnival staff, the B2B procedure varies by port. In Port Canaveral, we got fully off and then back on the ship. We got the new card just before leaving the ship. in Galveston we met the custom officers in the midship restaurant, cleared customs, and got the new keys without debarking the ship. Took about 15 minutes.
I just got off a back to back on the Sunshine and I never had to leave the boat. Just went to the dining room met with customs took picture and done.
I definitely prefer a long cruise to a back-to-back. It's a really weird feeling when people are just starting their vacation and you are in the middle of yours onboard.
When you have to fly to port, a B2B is really a cost effective way to vacation! Especially when you've got casino deals...
It really is!
Big Nikolai is the best! Got to know him on the Valor last summer. Can’t wait to see him again.
I do like the idea of B2B BUT I think I would do a different ship most likely a different line.
We have done b2b and are doing it again in January. It’s great but I think one person from customs could board the ship and scan everyone in a lot easier that all the cruisers getting off and going through customs. There were several folks in wheelchairs and crew members pushed them off and on. It just makes a lot of work that could be avoided.
you are all a lovely family
Back to back is the only way to go!
We will be on a back 2 back 2 back cruise in January/February.
Can 't wait.
We have done about 50 cruises so far, some of them b2b, but never in Miami.
We live in Germany.
Enjoy!!!
We just did a back-to-back with Carnival on the Legend in Baltimore December 11 to 18 and 18 to 26. Except for sitting waiting in the Alchemy bar for about an hour, the process was quick and easy. We had already gotten passes in our cabin a couple days before that we could use to get off the ship so that we didn't have to show any paperwork. They gave us our new keys and took our pictures. Then we were led into the foyer where the Christmas tree was and given a glass of champagne. They took our picture toasting in front of the tree. Forgot to add that before we got the champagne, an immigration officer checked our passports. There were less than twenty of us, so it went quickly. We got off the ship to go to our car to pick up the two bottles of wine we were allowed to bring on board. It took about five minutes to get back onto the ship because our little pass let us zip through.
So did I! But in August 2022.
Is it often cheaper to book a back to back versus just booking a longer cruise to begin with.? Just curious why so many people do it.
We have done 3 B2Bs. One pre-COVID and to post COVID. The first one was GREAT, the first post COVID was a bit slow because we were on the 3rd cruise after they restarted. The boarding for B2Bs changed 5 times in a 2 day period and was finalized that morning. 5 months later was much better and was far better and about the same as Pre-COVID. Once you got back on it is time for a BURRITO. It is so weird to be almost alone on the ship.
Something fun we tried to organize on our b2b but didn't get it done. Y'all should do it on your next b2b. Go down to disembark and embark in your bath robes and flip flops. If you could get a group to do it. It would be hilarious. Waving to everyone waiting to board from that second level.
That would be awesome!!!
We have done 3 B2Bs and we LOVE doing them. We are doing our 4th B2B in July 2024 out of New Orleans. The last B2B we did on the Horizon there were only 10 B2Bs and it was only a 10 minute process. B2Bs ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On MSC Preziosa in September 2018 we just went off the ship to explore the port then reembarked via Customs, easy! NB we changed cabins a day picked up our new cards before getting off.
I did my first back to back December 5. It was amazing.
11pm is ok but I rather 12 or 1 am nice b2b adventure thank for sharing
I turn it in with my wife, at what ever time she wants!
Happy Wife = Happy Life!!
#wisdom lol
Great video thanks
Changing cabins isn't too bad if you are just moving a few rooms like we did.
We had issues with our b2b, double key cards, some people had new pictures some didn't we had to retake pictures half way through the 2nd half but we never had to leave the ship. We were cleared in the theater and our second leg was a reposition so that was weird.
That’s all we do is back to back but in January will be on the carnival celebration for three weeks and before that on the carnival sunrise we have been on the carnival sunrise before but we loved it so much 🎉
11pm is normal at home, early on cruise, I think 2nd comedy show starts at 11pm :)
Nice video, thank you. Looking more forward to ours now, in January 2024 on The Jubilee. This was very helpful. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I did a back to back cruise on the Carnival Inspiration in 2016
Doing my first B2B on the Mardi Gras in November! Thank you for showing the whole process! Love your whole channel!💙💙💙
Thanks Vegas Bound!!!
Well, shoot...it's supposed to go much more smoothly than that! I hate that you had to wait so long to go through the lines, but happy you were able to do a B2B; next time it'll be even better!!
When I did a B2B on the CCL Legend in Baltimore, my family stayed on the ship. We thought that the B2B process you did was right, but we stayed in the lobby. (It was also the Legend's 25th birthday)
Hey, what a great insight into a B2B, we are doing one Sept 2023 with Carnival in Civitavecchia, although we know our 1st cruise stateroom number we still don't know the 2nd cruise stateroom number. Both cruises are Elite but the 2nd one was TBA on the stateroom. Thanks for all the fab info, xx
You can always call them and request to have the same cabin. I am sure they will understand.
My sister and I had a fast back to back process on the Vista 7 months ago. I made a one minute video of our experience.
Been considering a B2B . Thanks for the info!! Left out the booking process...how do you get the same room? Do you call the cruise line to book?
Depends on the night for me 😉 Lol... If it's a Syd's night, well, I can go late... but if not, maybe 11:30/12. Great video!!!!
Syd's Nights are always late nights!!! Hi Robbie!!!
I am surprised you had to do the muster drill again. I have a b2b next week with MSC and we don't have to do the drill again.
At the end of the video, if you look at Sharon’s eyes, she looked like she was ready for bed! 😊
Jamie kept me up late!!!lol
I’m doing a back to back to back starting January 7th. Thanks for sharing your boarding and reboarding experience.
Unfortunately I’m changing rooms each leg.
I normally turn it at 2:30
My B2B on Ecstasy before the Pearlman, we got a group photo and a free drink.
That's what we were expecting!!!
Happy cruising!
Love your show
Great video!
Was that a B2B with same itinerary??
Your experience is unusual. No mimosa toast, or photo?
Correct!!! Thanks for watching!!!
I changed rooms on my last B2B the crew took care of the luggage. Did you get your champagne?
Love B2B it's cool meeting a different group of people
We never got any champagne!!! Thanks for watching!!!
Did you do laundry being a diamond? What would a regular folk do to do laundry?
Anyone can have laundry done for a small charge. (15 bucks a bag) Even "Regular Folk". lol
We like your cigar/martini shirt!
Thanks Stephanie and Gabe!!!
Hate to disappoint totally disagree changing room DOESNOT take away the B2B fun... take it from someone that has done a lot of b2b
Great video ❤
Question: are b2b cruised cheaper, than 2 normal cruises? Just curious.
No, paid the same each week.
No, they are the same.
However...if you're flying in..one flight and hotel expense for two cruises.
How many cruises do you plan to go on in 2023?
Currently we have 5 planned.
Have not watched one of your videos in a long time. Who is the girl?
"The girl" is our Granddaughter, Kallie.
@@SharonatSeaTravel Okie dokie. Meant no disrespect or anything. I thought maybe your son had a girlfriend now. He is around my sons age. That is all. I enjoy watching your videos of your cruises. Doing a great job. Keep enjoying and have fun.
No disrespect taken at all..many have asked the same question.
Is this Carnival?
Yes..Carnival Celebration.
