Common saying in Iceland is “If you don’t like the weather, wait 5 minutes.”, The white mud in the hot springs is good for your skin. I would recommend for people to try the local food and candy, the chocolate is fantastic, and the hot dogs with everything are the best.

When I visited Iceland last year I was curious as to the numerous horses I saw. I asked our guide what they were used for and found out they were raised to be eaten. He said they were considered a delicacy.

We get midges near Lake Erie. One good thing about them is at least they don't bite. The October 5, 2007 baseball game between Cleveland and the Yankees is infamous for a swarm on midges coming in on the field.
