    What a tidy setup, absolutely love it and is really convincing me to go the lynx over the outback at this point.

      Jaymie, I ummed and ahhed before getting one but am so glad I took the plunge (metaphorically speaking). The poor Outback doesn't get used very much nowadays.

      My lynx was way more stable than my outback.

    Great video Carl. If I didn't already have one, I'd go buy one 😂

      G'day Crebos. Glad to share and for river systems or sheltered waters, it's ideal.

    Another great video Carl. Thought you may have pulled an elusive 40 this time !!! Great run down on the Lynx particularly inserting the cart & loading on the car. I struggled getting the Outback out of there. Will need to look further into the Lynx particularly for those harder to retrieve places. Thanks again. Graeme.

      Cheers Graeme. Still looking for that elusive 40! The Lynx is a dream to use. Love it.

    That's awesome... im dreaming of one for all my fair-weather harbour fishing. Right now I have the revolution 13 which is awesome but when you need to stand, you have to pull up on the flat!

      @CarlDubois  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. The Revo 13 is a super quick yak but yes, not very stable while standing.

      @@CarlDubois lets just say standing is... short lived and swiftly followed by swimming

    Some more nice bass there mate.
    Jeez that lynx is easy to load onto the car compared to the bigger hobie yaks 👌🏽

      Thanks Johnathon. They are sooooo much lighter than Outbacks or PA's.

    Awesome kayak! What’s puzzling to me with this kayak is Hobie says this is a perfect for fishing the shallow coastal water flats but the hull slap is unbelievable. Hull slap can spook fish in the shallow water. That’s the reason it’s not for me.

    • @CyberYaker
      @CyberYaker 7 месяцев назад

      I thought the same thing but it never stopped me from catching fish.

      Hull slap can be noticeable but so far, it hasn't stopped me from getting fish over the flats. At Camden Haven this year I was fishing in two feet of water with a strong wind but the noise didn't scare the fsh off.

      @@CarlDubois thanks for the feedback. I rarely fish in water that deep. I’m almost always in 12” or less. When you get that shallow redfish can be easily spooked because sound is amplified. In over 25 years of fish super shallow water I’ve found noise to be the number 1 hurdle to avoid. I can’t spend 3500 on something my experience tells me won’t work for me.

    Hey mate, great run through of the kayak. I'm interested to know what you have setup in your garage for storing the kayak?

      @CarlDubois  3 месяца назад

      Thanks goinnovate26. I have a wall mounted SUP rack (holds 3) and the Lynx fits perfectly on the bottom rack.

    I was so close to pulling the trigger on the Lynx and upgrading from the 2019 Sport. But after reading about the durability of the hill on the Lynx, I decided I’m just too rough with banging up against snags etc to take the risk.

    • @CarlDubois
      @CarlDubois  7 месяцев назад

      The Outback or Compass may be closer to what you are after. Bumping into snags or logs isn't too bad, it's rocks and oysters that the Lynx doesn't like very much.

    Ripper vid 👍
    Is the Lynx a lot cheaper than the main runners? The lightweight is appealing.

    • @CarlDubois
      @CarlDubois  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks Jacko. I'm guessing by main runners you mean a PA14 ($6.7k), Outback ($5.3k) and Compass ($4.2k) Note that all prices are approximate and can vary. The Lynx is similar in price to the Compass.
