Glad I found your channel great walk through. I’ve had my lynx just about 3 years took me that long to find the right toys and not to overload to put on it. Can’t wait to see more. Two questions if you get the new yak track pack do a video on em and also do you like the two seat cushions ? I have one and the lumbar support from them. Thanks mike from ct ps just debating black pro or not trying to keep light and simple
Thank you! Im making a video for the track pack this weekend and it should be up this coming week. I do like the two cushions, it’s definitely more comfortable than without them. If you’re talking about the black pack pro, I’d recommend the small 13x13. It’s light plus gives you rod holders and keeps your stuff dry!
@@ChrisMitchellFishing yes on fence on black pack trying to keep light and simple also on fence with track packs but I’ll see how you use on lynx. Thanks mike
sounds like a pretty simple setup Chris. Finally got me a kayak the other day. I am now an owner of the Vibe Shearwater 125. Now to do some mods to it.
My back is already thanking me lol. Just gotta take into account that there’s no storage and it’s more fragile than the rest of the Hobie’s. I like this switch though!
Good to hear! Yeah it’s a little high but from working in the boat industry I know first hand the foam core alone is super expensive. I think that may be the majority of the cost.
Hobie needs to invest more into the design of the lynx it could change the kayak industry but the exterior needs to be more durable. Other than durability the lynx is so refreshing to use coming from a full size yak
The outer layer is pretty fragile so I’m definitely more cautious around things that could damage it. Luckily here in Florida most banks are grass or sand so it’s not too bad. I love how effortless it is to peddle. Definitely a refreshing feeling coming from a bigger kayak.
Dumb question... where are you store your battery? I have the same finder , i put my Yakattack Nocqua battery in a front hatch in front of my seat in my cheap kayak. I was going put in a backpack on the back of the seat if i get a Lynx
Not a dumb question at all. I have the same nocqua battery. There’s a pocket on the back of the seat built in. I put the battery in there and run the wire in between the mesh of the seat. Only thing I need to disconnect is the transducer cable if I need to take the seat off.
@@ChrisMitchellFishing Cool , I figured, I use a Yakattack switchblade for the transducer, it's OK. I have my 57 lb paddle sit on top on J bars. If I go pedal, I'll need a trailer unless I get a Lynx or passport (65 lb). I was looking at a Perception Crank 10ft but is like 90 lb ugh
Right side up. I leave my chair on with the rudder. I use it often so there’s no sense in taking it on and off every time. I just slide the lynx from that stand to the bed of my truck then same thing putting it back. Works out pretty well lol.
Love my lynx. My 3rd year kayak bass fishing with @segakbf. And the best thing I did was sell my outback also the yak attack cell blocks and get the seat risers are needed.
@@ChrisMitchellFishing the seat risers will take the pressure off of your hamstrings. It did. There are a couple of companies that make them. Check this guy out. He has several things made just for the lynx. @superyakfishing.
love the set up
Thank you! It’s been a great rig for small, grassy lake tournaments.
I loved my lynx. I may go back to another one.
Love my Lynx, going on season #3 with it (and finally adding a fish finder this year!).
That’s awesome! It is such a great kayak.

Nice review Chris for your Garmin fish finder you don’t need a cover to block the sun? Love your set up
I have 2021 lynx it’s great
Thank you! No cover needed at all. I just tilt it a little if there’s glare and I’m all good.

That’s awesome! I think modding a kayak is my favorite part lol
Awesome video!!🔥Your channel looks really cool, can't wait to see some more!! Just subbed too👊
Appreciate it! 👊🏽
Most indecisive dude in kayak fishing 🤣
😅 stay tuned in 6 months
Its whats keeps us coming back and watching his videos… What kayak will he be in next???
I have a hobie pa14 and I’m actually thinking about going with the lynx also
My back is already thanking me lol. Just gotta take into account that there’s no storage and it’s more fragile than the rest of the Hobie’s. I like this switch though!
Hey Chris, great video. Which pole mount did you get? Do you have a link?
Thanks! I have the power pole micro. If that’s what you’re asking about.
Here’s the link to their page.

Love mine! 3 years on it and no big complaints. I do think the latest MSRP is a little high for this platform.

Mark my words. You’ll be back in a power kayak in less than a year.
Or I might add power to this one 😂

Dope rig! Curious, how do you store you kayak when not in use?
Thank you! Probably not ideal but it’s just on a kayak rigging stand.
This is the exact one

@@ChrisMitchellFishing sweet deal!
You got a Lynx for sale???
Might know someone interested…
I know a shop that does! Kayaks by Bo!
Who’s this guy?
Bro, you going smaller and I'm going bigger. What's going on!?
🤔 idk 😂
