Decipher es el segundo álbum de la banda de metal gótico, After Forever. Este álbum cuenta con doce canciones de corte bastante melódico y con las voces soprano en alto estado de evolución, resulta un gran álbum para el movimiento de metal gótico, ya que cuenta con temas líricos acordes, además de una elaborada música, combinación de fuerza, guturales y la hermosa voz de la soprano. Este es el último álbum donde participa Mark Jansen antes de retirarse de la banda por diferencias creativas con el resto de los miembros.

Floor's switching in and out of operatic singing in this one are insanely difficult, while she does it fluently. Not possible for ordinary singers.
She was already an incredible singer back then - I experienced some of their concerts, and she also had that grib on the audience.
She was either born to do this - or planted here, from somewhere in the Andromeda galaxy.

I agree. First time I saw her was in '08 and I became an instant fan. I thought back then that she would have been a better fit for Nightwish. She has such power and range.

The D5 at the end the song is the original Floorgasm. I remember getting Decipher the week it came out (way back in 2002) and played it on my small portable CD player before the start of a music theory class my sophomore year of college.
The prof (who was also my vocal coach/choir director at the school) litterally asked "Who the hell is that?!" after the song ended.
I consider myself quite lucky to have been able to see them twice (ProgPower VIII and the NYC stop, got to hang and chat with Joost and Floor for a handful of minutes after the latter and got them to sign my DVD copy of Live on Earth by Star One (also got Russel Allen's signature on it back in 2012 when Symphony X was touring with Iced Earth) on their 1 and only US tour in 2007.

Guys I know this is an old reaction, but you cannot deny the fact that she is the true Queen of music!!! Adelle, Lady Gaga, Beyonce... you all have been put on notice!!!! I would love for her to go in disguise on America's Got Talent and sing Ava Maria, or something from After Forever and then to see the embarrassed looks on all of their fake faces!!!! Especially Collins once the song is over and she reveals who she is. It would be Epic!!!!!!!

I remember seeing this live. Back then there were fewer tv stations and Kopspijkers was the one show most people watched on Saturday evening. Couldn’t believe one of my favourite bands was playing.

This is the first video that I saw of Floor back in 2004. I had to find out everything that I could about her, and have been following her since. When she joined Nightwish it was 13 days before I was going to see then and when I heard the new I was so happy.

Leo Villaverde no the Zillo festival version is better despite poor audio quality. Floor messes up the high note at Pinkpop whereas at Zillo she nails it like a boss.

I was a fan of Nightwish in the early years, and one day heard a band called After Forever was playing in a town near where I lived at the time and they were meant to be pretty good. I had not heard of them before, but decided to just go anyway. I was blown away that night, had my photo taken with Floor (unfortunately don't have it anymore) and have seen After Forever many times after that, and I was devastated when they split up. Absolutely great to see some reactions to them appearing now thanks to Floor's ongoing success with Nightwish and last year in Beste Zangers.
