The iPhone 8 is truly a beast, but it was wronged by Apple because it was announced with the iPhone X in the same event so alot of people went for the new design.
I recently bought one of these, it's been amazing so far, zippy and reliable, though, iOS is a bit confusing after being an Android user for so many years, but i'm enjoying the refinement.
@@jbgreen27 I know, but the one I bought had the display been replaced without reprogramming with the old display info. Honestly, it doesn't bother me, my friend have an iPhone 8 with this feature and the main difference is that the display get that yellow tint during the day.
I bought one on ebay too about two years ago and I instantly knew the screen had been replaced because it did not have true tone. Didnt bother me though, best iphone I had, especially the product red edition, I really wish they brought that color back! I have a mini now and would have loved it in the red shade

I don't think that they will ever get rid of the notch, since that is why they separete them selves from the android phones. But I wish they do, look at ipad pro.
The thing about iphones is it's sort of a "if you've used one you've used them all" as long as you get one that runs the latest version of iOS. The phone might not have the newest hardware but the user experience will be very comparable.

I’m still in love with my iP 8 Plus, still using it. Bought iP 13 but I’m still loving my iP 8 Plus. Aesthetically beautiful, everything about it I like.

@@CornflakeMom I can attest to this. The 8plus and pro max are the same size of you put them together; However, I’ve had the 11 and 12 Pro max and with the 13 went to the pro. Much easier to hold, great cameras. We need to make an SE+. I’d buy it in a heartbeat.
I love mine so much. I‘ve had it for 2.5 years now (bought it brand-new in 2020, 256gb gold (it wasn’t a scam, I was just lucky to find it, it was a legit shop)) and I don’t plan on upgrading until either my important apps aren‘t supported anymore or until my phone gets lost/stolen/so broken that it can’t be repaired. If I had to buy a new phone right now, Idk what I‘d go for, but I‘m very happy to have this great phone. I wish there was an iPhone SE Plus like the 8 Plus. 💖
Even if the Cellphone Service Provider intentionally told me to get a new phone, I'm sticking with my Iphone 8 Plus. I am content with it. It's fully paid for. I have no plans to go into debt for a new phone.
Still have my 8 plus and it still going strong after four years.. Battery life and performance is great. It's not the newest but definitely is still very capable. Thought about upgrading but not sure how I'd do without that home button. Thanks for another great video Nick!

I purchased a product red 256GB as a work phone. The only things I would say keep me from using as a daily driver: lack of computational photography, CPU starting to slow compared to new version, lack of 5g. Other than that, if they updated the 8plus but kept same body, touch ID etc., Id buy it right now.
What’s surprising is that the camera still holds up to today’s mid rangers. Most of them have a depth sensor or macro which I never use. The only reason stopping me from going back is the battery life and lightning jack

I agree about the phones being tall and narrow but the iPhone 8plus is a LCD Screen not AMOLED. And happy happy about that because I suffer from PWM sensitivity
It’s 2023 and I’m still using one of these and struggling to justify replacing it, everything works, it’s still in pristine condition, battery is still at 95%, the only temptation is the better camera in the iPhone 14 pro, but it’s a whole lot more case to get a Camera upgrade
Here in my country, these are still available box and sealed with all accesories, guess refurbished. I was considering to get one coz never had an iphone but im not willing to give up dual sim

Luv your retro reviews. Very helpful for people who can’t get or don’t want the latest and greatest. I personally prefer the 7 Plus because of the Qualcomm modem and I don’t care about wireless charging but the 8 Plus is the better overall phone.

It eventually outsold the X and it actually became one of the best selling smartphones ever. It even outsold the Galaxy S4.

also you CAN see the percentage. You just have to swipe down and it will show in the control center.

Still to this day, this is one of my favorite iPhone because of the home button and the size. Honestly..

I had a iPhone 8plus but sold for a pixel 4a5g and then traded it for a iPhone 12 I wish iPhone 8 Plus would make a iPhone classic and it have a new screen in a old body it would be a small hit

Don’t upgrade at all! I returned my 12pro max and Bought a refurbished iPhone 8plus from apple! And it is like Brand-new. They have replaced all the parts! I love it!
