I want to live in your neighborhood! This is what I want. The neighborly feel and the activities when it's busy, then the down time. Traveling in groups. Getting together for dinners. I love it all!
I don't think it came out in the video, but a local craftsman here in Hornconcitos, made that gorgeous dining room table and chairs with the removable top for us to do our puzzles. He was so proud of the beautiful work and every chair seat is one solid piece. We looked in Panana City and the closest nice set was over $1800. Now it took 5 months of patience (wood has to dry) but he made this from a picture we brought him and it's nicer wood than the one in PTY. Only $835. The local craftsman are excellent and very proud of their work. Rightfully so.
You are one of the rare UScits without safety concerns and European me, who lives over 20 years abroad, wonders about your gated community. Where is the gate? Is there someone (hay portero?) or is it you with a key? How would a traveller reach the Regalo resort if it is behind closed doors? Do not bother to answer as I would not see it. You both are refreshing different, your area is refreshing "not gringo only". I prefer the intellectual input of more than one nationality - but differently to UScits who move together like the Chinese, I would not chose to live with my fellow passportholders - they were the reason I once left. ;-)
The Panamian Gov should award Ms. Lang an Honorary award for what she's done for that country. She is a treasure. Nice video, nice couple. May they continue to be blessed in all the ways that matter
I am in huge agreement there. I was blessed in that I was on one of the last tours jackie did herself< though everything I hear says Steve and Ellen do a remarkable job as well now. She, Jackie, has done a phenomenal job and really cares about all those who truly want to relocate here. It truly made our transition easier by FAR!
Congratulations 🎉 I imagine how difficult it is to start over. Selling everything. Divorce issues and such. Way to land on your feet and be happy again. Well done.
wow, I am so impressed with the work you have done...good for you. thank you for sharing...since this video is 2 years old, I owuld love to see improvements since then...
Great video! Will be on the PRT tour this January. Plan on staying longer and hopefully taking a ride over to El Regalo. Sorry to hear Dennis and Lenore are no longer in the community. Would have loved to meet them. We left Costa Rica after many years. Bittersweet.
Spending 2 weeks in Panama in late January with my wife. No plans or places to visit yet but am looking forward to visiting this beautiful country. Love the video's and the people who are enjoying living here. Boquete is on my list of places to visit but how to find places to stay is going to be interesting.
I would like to come visit and stay in the hotel to see what land and homes are available in the area it would be me my mother and father. I love love your community. It said in the video that you would be willing to show us around the community and possible available homes or lots is that a possibility and when would it be the best time to go?
Every dang video I say that is where I want to live.. so many great places to live in Panama!! edit to add: Cataract surgery here in the U.S. where I live is about 4500 an eye. I just looked it up, since my brother needs it badly, and I was thinking about it as well with no insurance.
Very beautiful place/home/landscape. I'm curious, you said "wiped out" in USA? That is quite a palace you have there. What did it cost you? God bless y'all.
I am curious about how often you have needed to return home while you didn’t have a full Panamanian residency. As well, I am a builder and I am curious about ICF construction and concrete availability.
yes every 90 days for driving priviliges, usually a 3 day border hop. I have heard of ICF construction here but have not seen. Most all is block and cement construction. The 90 day driving thing is why in the video I refer to Lenore being the local "taxi" driver. Often I stay for the 180 days on a passport which means I can't drive the last 90 days.
Thanks for sharing your story and experience in Boca Chica Does all of Boca Chica have the chitras (no-see-uhms), or are there areas that are far enough away from manglares to not be affected by them ?
Hey guys, amazing job with the remodeling! I'm coming to Panama in Dec/Jan for 2 weeks and plan to visit the area. Probably stay at the El Regalo or somewhere near. Would love to get the locals tour if you guys are there and that's possible. How does one go about looking you up?
Sorry, Dennis moved back to the US shortly after this video. We do have private tour guides in the Boca Chica/Las Lajas areas. See panamarelocationtours.com/private-tours
Viewed your RUclips, in it you indicated you are from Reno, NV. Myself, Reno, 44 years. Have a trip planned for end of January 2023 to Panama and Boca Chica, my 3rd visit, my lady friend's 1st. Any suggestion on must see in Boca Chica. Also would live to meet you guys.
We are planning in the near future moving to Panama. Have been to Boquete and Corondo planning more trips. We specially like Boquete because of the vooler weather. We live in Florida and summer heat is really bad. Speaking of cataract surgery it only cost me was my deductable of $200. I have medicare which pays 80 percent and a supplement that pays the other 20 percent. We plan to keep our US health Ins living in Panama. I am a retired American Airline pilot with great benefits of free flying.
Hi, my wife and I are looking at this area. Your video was very helpful in understanding the area. We are use to having boats and being able to run to islands etc. but I don't see many there.... yet there is so much to do on a boat?.....do you have any info that could help?.....we are looking to relocate and stay year round
It's been 3 years, possibly 4 but I have seen some beautiful waterfront homes sell in & near Rincon estates. (They've all been sold) 😱😁 Bonita in Key West= Shark bait 😅 Very nice video. Enjoyed it
This was a very fact filled video. I'd love to be able to move there, but there's no way I could afford it. I have been to Panama several times and the people are wonderful, as long as you don't try playing the high roller gringo game.
Could you please share the name of the woodworking Company you used like the work they did, you mentioned they were from Boquete that is where am located
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you much apreciate it, the membership to Panama Relocation tours is one of the best investment one can make if they are intending to relocate here, those sitting on the fence should jump on it without second guesssing
That neighborhood in Boca Chica does not have many homes. There are other homes available in the area but it is more expensive than other beach communities in Panama. it's always a good idea to just rent for at least a year before you buy real estate in Panama.
@@PanamaRelocationTours Thank you. Was just wondering. I plan to take your advice and rent in different areas to determine which area best suits me. I’ll first buy the book, followed by a private tour.
Enjoyed the video. The area looks amazing. My wife and I are seriously considering Istana after I retire next year. We will be in the area next Feb 2023. is there any way we could meet with Dennis and Lenore while we are there?
Hey you two lovebirds! My husband and I REALLY want to live in Boca Chica, but aren't ready to buy. We're in Nueva Gorgona now, in a condo, and would like to stay at the hotel you mentioned, and meet up with you to find out more. We are looking for long term rentals, or even house sitting for several months at a time. We're flexible. I'll try and find you on PRT and connect with you that way. Thank you!
Has anyone come up with anything that helps with both the humidity aside from Air conditioners and the Salt air they mentioned where people are replacing rusted metal every year or two?

For a two week visit, you could stay in a hotel (suite) or an Airbnb

Does all of Boca Chica have the chitras (no-see-uhms), or are there areas that are far enough away from manglares to not be affected by them ?
all of Boca Chica has no-see-ums. If you go to higher elevations, like 1500 feet, you can get away from them.

The secret is out about this beautiful neighborhood in Boca Chica
There are still a few homes for sale but mostly open lots to build your dream from the get go.
sorry if i missed the mention of internet, but how well is the internet, is it wireless, is it fiber?
They did not discuss internet in this video but they did in their previous video. Internet is SLOW in Boca Chica. You're lucky to get 5Mpbs
RBE is getting fiber in the next couple months, but it is still only 15 to 50+Mpbs
Try Elon Musk's Starlink.

how much do you think you have into your kitchen?
I think the spent $20,000 for the new kitchen which included bumping a wall out to make the space larger, custom cabinets and countertops.
