Guys!! Vaseline doesn’t add moisture but it retains 99% moisture on your face. So to make the most use out of the Vaseline use a hydrating moisturizer either one with ceramides or glycerin for extra moisture. If you have dry flaky skin use glycolic acid as moisturizer, it may sound crazy since it’s an acid but it’s actually super moisturizing but not only that it removes all the dead skin cells and buildup from your skin, NOW you can apply the Vaseline on top and you’ll wake up with the most plump hydrated skin ever✨
p.s I’m not a dermatologist I get my advice from them and I’m passionate about skincare/wellness

You can try to apply it on top of your moisturizer. That way, it doesn't have direct contact with your skin. Instead, it helps to reduce moisture loss during your sleep and optimizes your moisturizer. I have oily skin too and this method works for me. I have just started applying it under my eyes and lips.

1 possibility is that your skin might be oily because it's dehydrated so your cells try to make the oil to keep the remaining moisture. mine was like that. and when i started doing effective hydration my skin actually made less oil of it's own,

I have combination skin and horomonal acne, my best tip for vaseline if you have acne is to put an exfoliating product underneath it, I broke out again and I decided to use Salicylic acid my moisturizer and some other products to calm down my face, and then I put vaseline ontop as a spot treatment to make sure all the product I added stays onto my acne overnight. Vaseline is like a shield due to its thickness, it's like a giant blanket and it will hold bacteria and gunk under it so by applying an exfoliant underneath I cancelled that out. I woke up and my break outs are significantly better.

I usually mix it with a bit of Nivea ( the one for dry skin , dark blue ) to a 1:4 ish ratio and my skin has never been so soft . I don't usually break out , other that the monthly thingy , so can't tell if it aggravated acne tho .

just dont wash your face too often. I am acne prone and I had awful acne years ago, I dont use any skincare product, just wash with water with a compressed sponge. In my body, no soaps just use korean body mitt, its better on exfoliating than those body scrubs they sell, they are useless. As for my hair, since its a tropical country here, I need to obviously wash my hair atleast every other day or when needed, opt for the most natural brand you can get and pick a clarifying shampoo❤
I always get compliments now, its not perfect my skin but the improvement is very visible. Using just water retains the moisture barrier of your skin. Trust me, your skin will heal on its own❤ like those acne, irritations, allerfies and all. JUST WATER.
Using soap in the past is not helping my skin at all, even those moisturizing soaps like Dove still dry out my skin. When I transitioned to just water, it was the best decision ever❤

I have dehydrated oily acne prone skin, it does work for me. However I do it only once a week or as your skin needs it. Plus you need to make sure that your skin prep is good. Make sure your skin is very clean prior to prevent clog pores via oil cleanser and double cleanse. Then I moisturize and add a very thin layer ( you don't need much) of aquaphor/vaseline/whatever occlusive to lock it in.
