The is the most common cause of low water pressure in taps and shower heads and how to fix it is so easy. The aerator in the tap has a filter which water usage although this is a great feature it also creates a problem as debris try to exit the water line and block up the filter. You would not believe how timely/helpful this video was was. My husband changed the washer in the vanity yesterday, pressure seemed ok at first, but then gradually became a dribble. We tried putting a different brand of washer but was the same. We rang and booked a plumber because we had no idea what was wrong. As an afterthought, I went through your videos and found this one. Tried it and the amount of crap in that aerator was unbelievable!!!! Works fine now and cancelled the plumber!!! Cheers.

Side note: on some of my faucets, the aerator appears to be up INSIDE the faucet head itself...how the heck do you take them out in that case? Take off the whole faucet + disassemble?

The aerator doesn't so much catch debris as it accumulates minerals from the water itself. It's the same way stalactites and stalagmites form.

Skip to 3:27 if you want to actually see him address the problem. Why would you waste so much time running around the house to show me four different examples of the exact same thing.
